It is really touching because you know it is happening all the time, that people are persecuted in China. They don´t have freedom, freedom of speech, or to do what they want." -
Shen Yun Performer Mei Xuan Meets with Special Rapporteur of UN Against Torture

Professor Manfred Nowak, Special Rapporteur Against Torture, met with Mei Xuan to hear testimony of torture experienced by practitioners in China, as well as information on the forced disappearance of her husband. -
Patent Attorney in Amsterdam: Shen Yun is "Something Completely Different! We Like it!"

Pavel Mulyav, a patent attorney, attended the show with his wife Iryna, a bank risk manager and a long-time avid dancer. The couple said that the show far exceeded their expectations. "We were positively surprised," she said, with Mr. Mulyav, adding, "It's very traditional ... you don't see many traditional dances nowadays." -

The largest annual Health Expo in Denmark, "The 2010 Health Expo," was held at the Congress Centre in Denmark's third largest city Odense during the Chinese New year period. Falun Gong practitioners in Denmark have participated in the Expo for each of the last three years, demonstrating the slow, gentle and beautiful exercise movements. -
France: Falun Gong Invited to Paris Chinese New Year Celebration

On February 13, 2010, Falun Dafa practitioners were invited to the Chinese New Year celebration in Noisy le Grand, where there is a high rate of residents from Asia. The local government regards Chinese New Year as an important festival so it has organised the annual celebration for five years. Falun Gong has been invited each time. -
France: Over One Hundred Chinese Tourists Quit the CCP on the Weekend of Chinese New Year in Paris

On the first weekend of the Chinese New Year, 135 Chinese tourists in Paris chose to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organisations. There are many volunteers at the Service Centre for Quitting the CCP. Ms. Xing, in her 70s, goes there six days a week to distribute Falun Dafa materials and tell people the facts about the persecution in China. -
Turkey: Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance International Art Exhibition Comes to Istanbul

On February 19, 2010, the Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance International Art Exhibition arrived in the city. This art show has toured the world, visiting over forty countries on five continents, and has received high commendations from the people of Istanbul. -
France: Falun Gong Invited to Paris Chinese New Year Celebration

They performed a "Celestial Maidens" dance, handkerchief dance, fan dance and Tibet dance, as well as zither solo "Song of the Lotus". In the end, the practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, receiving warm applause and kind remarks from the audience. -
Germany: Rally Protests Hong Kong Government Interference with Shen Yun Performing Arts Show

On February 4, 2010, a rally was held in Dortmund to strongly protest the Hong Kong Government's interference with the Shen Yun show. The rally also supported the march in Hong Kong with the theme, "Protect Shen Yun - Protect Hong Kong," which was held with hopes that Shen Yun Performing Arts would come back to Hong Kong as soon as possible. -
United Kingdom: Visitors Impressed by Truth-Compassion-Forbearance Art Exhibition in London

On February 3, 2010, the International Truth-Compassion-Forbearance Art Exhibition opened at the Hampstead Museum in Burgh House. This was the third time that the exhibition has been held in London. A total of 16 paintings were presented to show the beauty of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance and to depict the brutal persecution against Falun Gong in China. -
France: Publicising the Lawsuit Against High Ranking CCP Officials

In January 2010, the French Service Centre for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) held several events to support the lawsuits in Spain and Argentina against five high-ranking CCP officials responsible for the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China. These events were held in Chinatown, at the Eiffel Tower and on Human Right Square in Paris. -
United Kingdom: Truth Compassion Tolerance Art Exhibition comes to Hampstead at the start of Chinese New Year

The paintings reflect the positive life changes the artists have experienced from the practice, and at the same time, bring to reality the current persecution of Falun Gong in mainland China. Denmark: Peaceful Activities during the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2009

Outside the conference centre in the chilly wind, Falun Gong practitioners from different countries in northern Europe practised the exercises. They hung up banners and appealed to the conference participants to stop the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong. Their peaceful event moved the onlookers.
