  Because Ms. Wang Guifeng resisted the persecution, the guards forced her to stand around the clock for over twenty days. Her feet and legs swollen and she could not stand still. The guards instigated inmates to take turns monitoring her, deprive her of sleep and beat her frequently. On November 13th, 2005, four or five inmates stripped off her clothes and then beat and kicked her. They stabbed her with needles and they opened up the window and door, leaving her shivering in front of the window. There are many other practitioners like Ms. Wang who have suffered or are suffering the same torture.

• Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Qi Yunsheng at the Yinmahe Forced Labour Camp

  On April 7th, 2005, local police arrested Mr. Qi Yunsheng and also ransacked his home. On April 8th, the police sent Qi Yunsheng to the No. 3 Detention Centre in Jilin City. On April 30th, refusing to acknowledge the unlawful sentence, Qi Yunsheng refused to sign a Notice of Labour Reeducation. Police officer Hou sent Qi Yunsheng to the Yinmahe Forced Labour Camp in Jiutai City where he was held for one year. On March 20th, 2006, the political head at Division 1 in charge of persecuting Falun Gong, persecuted Qi Yunsheng before his release.

• Abuse of Four Falun Dafa Practitioners at the Shanxi Women's Forced Labour Camp

  Practitioners have firmly resisted "reforming" and are being savagely abused as a result. They are deprived of personal freedom and are only permitted four hours of sleep per day. They are constantly watched, and the guards order drug addicts to physically abuse and mentally torment them. The practitioners are forced to do slave labour for between 15 and 18 hours per day. They are forced to take drugs and go to hospitals when they are not ill. When the Dafa practitioners went on a hunger strike, the persecutors force-fed them.

• Practitioners Put in Confinement to Force Them to "Reform" at Zhongba Forced Labour Camp in Guizhou Province -- Delayed Information

  Guards from No. 5 Brigade of the Zhongba Forced Labour Camp subjected unlawfully detained practitioners to mental torment and physical abuse since February 2005. They used all kinds of torture, beatings, insults, deception, threats, sleep deprivation, and other tactics to abuse and mistreat the practitioners. Mr. Wu Changyu was a 76-year-old practitioner. Because he wrote that he would firmly cultivate Falun Dafa, Mr. Wu was sent to the "Restricted Administrative Area," where guards insulted him and forced him to do military drills. He was confined for 64 days. He still had bruises on the back of one foot after he returned to his former squadron.

  "When I was taken to Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp, seven or eight police officers dragged me to the "discipline room" to beat me up. They pushed me down to force-feed me with drugs and injections. They humiliated me by taking away the belt from my trousers. I had to hold my trousers up with my hands. They dragged me around by my hair. Guard Zhang Xiaohui said to me, "If you do not transform, I will torture you. You will wish to die." They laughed at me hysterically, made lewd remarks towards me and tortured me for over an hour."

  During the month of November 2005, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Song Wenjuan was tortured in the training ward at Wanjia Labour Camp and then sent to the 12th ward. The guards inhumanly tortured her for more than one month by forcing her to squat near an open window wearing only underwear. During the night, she was forced to sit on a metal chair. Along with the physical tortures and mental humiliation, collaborators mentally tortured her by forcing her write the three statements.

  Every Falun Gong practitioner detained in Changliu Detention Centre in Tonghua City has been persecuted. At Changliu Detention Centre every practitioner is forced to work over ten hours every day. The detention centre director knows that forced labour is illegal, but he turns a blind eye to it. Falun Gong practitioners are provided with two meals per day: corn buns and radish soup. On Monday the bun is made with very crude flour. Daily necessities are sold there at two to three times fair market price.

  Because Yang Lijuan refused to attend the slave-labour activities, the guards punished her with long-term standing. While her fellow practitioners were force-fed, Yang Lijuan stood up to stop the persecution, which meant she was beaten with electric batons. In such a difficult situation. She constantly fought for the basic rights of living and freedom for fellow practitioners as well as herself. Yang Lijuan wrote and delivered a letter to the head of the labour camp. After that, however, five Falun Gong practitioners, including Yang Lijuan, were strictly monitored and forced to "study" the fact-twisting theories by watching video programmes defaming Falun Gong.

• Practitioners Who Have Been Persecuted to Insanity at the Tianjin City Women's Labour Camp

  I would hereby like to share several cases of persecution that I witnessed with my own eyes, one such practitioner was: Ms. Guo Baohua, 60 years old, was persecuted to insanity at the Tianjin City Women's Labour Camp. I heard from the labour camp staff who supervised me that Guo was tortured by a gang of criminals under the instigation of the police. The criminals used needles to prick her body until there were no untouched spots at all. It was later reported that Guo was bailed out for medical treatment, but passed away a short time after.

  The new arrivals were be forced to stand in the janitor's room in the No. 2 subdivision for a whole day, regardless of their ages. They then were ordered to write the "Guarantee Statement". If anyone refused, she would have to stand, with limited toilet breaks or without permission for toilet time. Ms. Zhou Xiaohong was beaten by five on-duty criminal inmates. They prohibited Ms. Zhou from going to the toilet. As a result, she had to use her lunch box as a chamber pot, then carry the lunch box to the toilet to clean it up before using it to eat a meal again.

For Falun Gong practitioners, there is a rule that new prisoners must suffer pain from the very beginning. The camp employed collaborators to talk to me. They came one after another. They also tried to force me to write the "Four-No" letter (no learning, no exercising, no speaking and no spreading of Falun Gong) and to recite the "Four-Rules" (posted on the wall) used to restrain prisoners. If you did not comply with their demands, they would deprive you of sleep, force you to stand for long periods of time, or force you to perform hard labour, sometimes until 1 or 2 a.m."

They start by having collaborators attack the determined practitioners and instill them with mind-twisting theories against Dafa. They lock the practitioners to metal chairs, shock them with electric batons, force-feed them and forbid them to communicate with their families via letters or visits. Practitioner Wu Xiuru was tortured by guards and as a result, she was paralysed for 18 months.

  A practitioner remembers that Guangxi Women's Labour Camp is notorious for its rats. Inmates are afraid to stick their feet out at night, as the rats often bite people's toes. Many inmates' toes are injured as a result of rat bites. It is terrifying when you see rats jumping around along the bed frames, at times over your body, face, or head. A rat bit me during my first month there. At that time, I was forced to be in the study group, where I had to memorize the prison rules, do military training, watch brainwashing videos, write responses and do hard labour. I did not finish until 2 a.m.
