  • Severe Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners in Guangyuan Jail

It was reported that under the order of the Sichuan Provincial Labour Camp Bureau, Guangyuan Jail launched a brutal persecution of steadfast Dafa practitioners. Mr. Xu Weidong did not obey the prison guard's orders, so he was hung up by handcuffs by a prison guard and was left in the pouring rain for two hours. Later, the chief of the fifth squadron and prison guards stripped off his clothes, leaving him in only his underwear. They then handcuffed him to an iron gate and forcefully put a prison uniform on him. Later Mr. Xu was dragged to the playground by criminal inmates.
  • Atrocities in Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp

Persecutors from the forced labour camp have beaten female inmates to death and raped some female inmates, which resulted in their becoming pregnant. These perpetrators conspired with the hospital, and the doctor fabricated medical documents. Male inmates were beaten to death then secretly buried. The labour camp authorities then publicly declared that the victims had escaped. During the morning of May 1, 2005, practitioner Ms. Wang Junhua, who was unjustly held at the Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp, was forced to feed ostriches at a courtyard segregated by electrified wires. She did not return to her dormitory at noon as usual, and her current whereabouts are unknown.
  • Urgent Call to Help Zhang Sanquan, Who is Near Death from Torture at the Baoding Forced Labour Camp

Mr. Zhang Sanquan went to Tiananmen Square in Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa in September 2004. The police subjected him to a torture instrument called "star over sky," which is a helmet-shaped instrument with nails inside. The abusers put it on Mr. Zhang's head, and he lost consciousness. When he awoke the next day, his head was covered with blood and had many holes caused by the nails. Later, the wounds festered and ulcerated. Later he was sentenced to three years of forced labour. In the forced labour camp, his health condition went from bad to worse. Recently he couldn't eat anything. Because he was so weak, his family members went to the camp to ask for his medical parole, which the camp authorities have refused to grant.
  • Brainwashing Methods used in Shiliping Forced Labour Camp: Beating, Torture, and Psychotropic Drugs

Police officers in the Shiliping Forced Labour Camp, Zhejiang Province persecute detained Falun Gong practitioners using various torture methods, including injecting them with psychotropic drugs. The labour camp seeks to brainwash each newly arrived practitioner. The tactics they use are solitary confinement, beatings and drug injections. The police set the standard for determining that a practitioner has been "transformed" when there is a visible mental collapse. If a practitioner isn't affected mentally, the police would not consider the practitioner to be transformed.

  • Sanshui Women's Forced Labour Camp in Guangdong Province Sets up "Dark Cells" to Secretly Persecute Practitioners

"Dark cells" have been set up especially for the persecution of steadfast Falun Gong practitioners in Sanshui Women's Forced Labour Camp. The police designate two drug addicts to watch one practitioner in the cell, where the walls are covered with profanity smearing Falun Dafa and its founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi. The drug addicts demand that the practitioner read those words aloud, otherwise, they will beat her, force her to squat for a long time, or make her sit on a small stool for an extended time. If the practitioner refuses to follow their commands, she will be deprived of sleep or use of the toilet. If the practitioner goes on a hunger strike to protest, the criminal inmates will brutally force-feed her.

  • One Hundred Days of Persecution at the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp

"A police officer searched my home, found Falun Dafa books and leaflets exposing the persecution. I was arrested and sentenced me to two years in Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. The police officer threatened, "The guards at Masanjia Forced Labour Camp are reincarnated ghosts from hell!" In Masanjia I had to endure intensive brainwashing. There were many consecutive groups, one after the other, who tried to brainwash me. I was forced to get up early and come to the classroom, where collaborators surrounded me and tried to confuse me with distorted ideas. Each day from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., except for meal times, they approached me in groups and tried to brainwash me, yet they could not "reform" me."

The Mansanjia Forced Labour Camp is just one of the concentration camps where Falun Gong practitioners are being persecuted. I am still alive, although I was near death. I want to solemnly declare here that I am innocent, and not guilty of any charges levelled against me. I have been persecuted for my beliefs. I'd like to tell everyone all that I experienced in the forced labour camp during the past year."

After October 2000 my mother and sister were arrested and detained several times for practising Falun Gong. In 2001 my mother was detained for the second time in a forced labour camp. After that, she was on the verge of death several times. The labour camp again ordered me to pay money and also to turn in my sister in exchange for my mother. How terrible their words were! My sister had just been recovering from her brush with death, and my mother's life was in extreme danger. How could I choose between them? The experience was terribly painful.

Many practitioners are locked in a small room and forced to stand or hold their arms in the air for long periods of time. They are also deprived of sleep and toilet privileges. The drug addicts force practitioners into absurd positions, making them cram their heads under a small stool. Sometimes practitioners are also forced to stand naked outdoors on winter nights.

I want to tell all my relatives and family about my experiences. I want to tell everybody about those who have committed crimes so that people will know the truth. Just like me, many other practitioners in the prison had been persecuted so seriously that they had difficulty moving around on their legs. Every day my heart felt the tremendous pressure, and my ears were filled with the loud cries of the people around me."
