  • Hebei Province Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Yan Haibo Killed by the "610 Office", the Public Security and Baoding Forced Labour Camp

    Mr. Yan Haibo, a 33 year old practitioner was arrested several times for appealing for Falun Gong. At the end of July 2002, he was kidnapped and taken to the police station, where he was severely tortured. Later he was detained for two and a half years at a forced labour camp, where the cruel torture continued. Because of the constant, long-term pressure from such terror tactics, Mr. Yan's spirit was broken. By late February 2005, Mr. Yan's physical health had deteriorated beyond repair. A hospital in Beijing diagnosed him as having kidney failure, cerebral oedema, and haemorrhaging in the eye. He died on March 31, 2005.

    Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Jinbo is in his 40s and is a loan manager at a Construction Bank in Jilin Province. In August 2002, police officers arrested Mr. Wang at his workplace because he practises Falun Gong. He was sentenced to three years of forced labour. In October 2002, Mr. Wang was sent to the Chaoyanggou Labour Camp in Changchun City, where he suffered inhuman torture and cruel persecution.

    Recently, a practitioner named Gao Rongrong, who suffered electric baton burns on her face was re-captured and sent to Masanjia Forced Labour Camp, when the news broke of her disfigurement. Her parents went to Masanjia Forced Labour Camp and asked to see their daughter. The Director said that although Gao Rongrong had been sent to Masanjia, she is not in Masanjia now. She did not disclose any information about Gao Rongrong.

    The Shandong Province Women's Prison has the official name of Shandong Province Xingye Development Corporation Ltd. The prison authorities force illegally detained Falun Gong practitioners to work from 15 to 18 hours a day, and overnight as the workload increases. Sometimes the practitioners cannot sleep or wash themselves for several days and nights. Practitioner Ms. Li Fang died from illness and exhaustion on April 27th 2002. Another practitioner approximately 58 years of age died on her way home.
  • Six Falun Gong Practitioners from Beijing and Hebei Province Died under the Persecution

    Ms. Ji Yongfang, 85 years old, was a resident of Xinchengzi Village, Xinchengzi Town in Miyun County, Beijing. Before practising Falun Gong, Ms. Ji suffered from various kinds of illnesses and was critically ill on several occasions. After she started to practise Falun Gong in 1996, all of her illnesses disappeared. In March 2000, when she was practising the Falun Gong exercises at home, personnel from the local police station forcibly took her away and persecuted her. After she was released, she had a relapse of her old illnesses. She passed away in May 2001.

    Masanjia Forced Labour Camp forces Falun Dafa practitioners to make money for them. Practitioners must make a large number of cardboard boxes, handling glue for a long time. Some people's eyes were irritated and watering, and the skin of their fingers split. Young practitioners are forced to make clothes and many handicrafts, including bracelets, necklaces, hair ornaments, and artificial flowers. Older women are forced to make "hygienic cotton swabs."

  • Shameless Persecution at the Shibalihe Women's Forced Labour Camp

    A 40-year-old female practitioner was brutally tortured at the Shibalihe Forced Labour Camp. In mid-May, because this practitioner didn't cooperate with the guards, inmate group leader Chen Hong reported her. The guards locked her in a small room and instigated drug addict convicts to take turns torturing her for 83 days, which caused severe internal injuries. Once inmate stepped on a practitioner's foot and pulled her nipples until they bled.
  • Cruelty at the Anhui Women's Forced Labour Camp

    Since July 2003, in order to force Falun Gong practitioners to give up their practice, Anhui Women's Forced Labour Camp authorities have escalated the pressure on its victims with prolonged torture and sleep deprivation. Just for defending Falun Dafa, four officers immediately jumped on two practitioners, shocked them with high voltage electric batons, cuffed their hands behind their backs, sealed their mouths with tape and then humiliated them in front of everyone. Afterwards the two were locked up in another room, where they were cruelly beaten.

    The Qingdao Forced Labour Camp in Shandong Province has been persecuting practitioners since July 20, 1999. They set up a special unit just to torture practitioners. Every night, there were sounds of wailing, beatings and verbal abuse that kept people up all night. They gathered them up and sent them to brainwashing classes. A prison guard said to the practitioners, "I can kill you any way I want, and report that you committed suicide."

    In September 2004, police sent Mr. Li Shaotie to the Shuihua Forced Labour Camp. Within two days they began to torture him. Guards kicked Mr. Li in his legs over 100 times, from top to bottom, using their military shoes. One guard shouted at him, "Do you still want to practise?" Mr. Li replied, "Yes." The guard then ground on Mr. Li's toenail with the heel of his shoes. Fresh blood spurted from his foot and two of his toenails were torn off. Mr. Li fainted.
  • Shibalihe Women's Forced Labour Camp Lied about the Death of Ms. Sun Guilan

    The forced labour camp personnel forbade others to speak to nearly 60 year old Ms. Sun and ordered her to do heavy labour, which placed tremendous mental and physical pressure on her. One morning, she went early as usual to clean the toilets and she fainted next to a water pond outside the garage. She must have passed away because the camp personnel spread the rumour that she committed suicide because of guilt. Practitioners, however, investigated and found that she did not commit suicide but from the persecution of Zhengzhou Forced Labour Camp instead.

    Ms. Jia Xueyun is in her 40's. Ms. Jia's friends and family knew that she was perfectly healthy before she was incarcerated in Kaiping Forced Labour Camp. In just three months, her weight dropped from 143 lbs to 66 lbs. Every friend and relative that came to see her could not help bursting into tears and felt indignant at the injustice perpetrated against her. Ms. Jia Xueyun was nothing but skin and bones when she was finally brought home. In fact, she was hardly breathing.
