  • Pingyuan County's 610 Office Arrests Practitioners and Extorts Money from Them

In late September 2005, policemen from the State Security Division and local police broke into the homes of practitioners Liu Jixin and Liu Shanyou. They took away Dafa books and arrested the practitioners. At the station, they tried to coerce the practitioners into giving up their Dafa practice and to report the sources of their materials. The police threatened the families that the practitioners would be sent to forced labour camp if they didn't give money to the police. The practitioners were not released until Liu Jixin's family had paid 3000 yuan and Liu Shanyou's family had paid 5000 yuan.
  • Officials in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Hold a Brainwashing Session to Persecute Practitioners

Communist regime agents are still persecuting Dafa practitioners. On May 20th, 2005, they held another brainwashing session and arrested nearly 200 practitioners. They physically tortured and mentally tormented them. These corrupt officials forced the practitioners to read articles that slander Dafa and also to watch videos of the same slanderous content. They threatened and intimidated the practitioners that they would only be released if they write guarantee statements to renounce Falun Dafa. If the refused, they would be directly sent to labour camps or prisons.
  • Beijing Women's Prison Resorts to "Public Bidding" to Brainwash Practitioner Ms. Xu Na

Ms Xu Na, a practitioner from Beijing, has been detained in Beijing Women's Prison for more than 4 years, where she has suffered all kinds of torture. She refused to renounce her belief, despite being brutally beaten, locked in small cells, forced to sit in lotus position with both legs crossed for long periods of time, tied up, deprived of sleep, left in the snow and many other gruesome tortures. Over the past 4 years the authorities at Beijing Women's Prison failed to force Xu Na to renounce Falun Gong.
  • In Memory of Fellow Practitioner Ms Zou Guirong

"Zou Guirong was had big eyes that shone in her round face and she smiled gently all the time. I remember the first time I met Zou Guirong; it was at the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp in February or March of 2000. The wicked guards at Masanjia stripped such a kind woman, poured cold water on her, and four or five female guards shocked her with electric batons, and said, "This is fun." However, Zou Guirong did not surrender to the torture, which lasted for more than four hours. All of the inhumane torture was conducted in secret. I witnessed that her body was covered with injures, black and purple all over."
  • The Plight of Several Dafa Practitioners in the Jiamusi Forced Labour Camp

Ms. Han Guixia's lower body was paralysed from torture and she lost bladder control, wetting the bed. The group chief didn't let her eat and locked her out of the dining hall. Wang Xin pinched Ms. Han's lip and made it bleed. Also, Wang verbally abused her in front of everybody and claimed that Ms. Han was pretending to be sick. Ms. Han was tied onto a "Tiger Bench". Policemen forbade her to go to the toilet, forcing her to urinate in her trousers. She was tied to the bench for the whole night.
  • Two Elderly Ladies Tortured in Wanjia Forced Labour Camp in Harbin City

Ms. Chen Guilan, 59, is in Wanjia Forced Labour Camp because she practises Falun Dafa. Prison guards also took her into the small, dark cell to torture her. They beat her while she was hanging up and while she was sitting on the iron chair. Her lower body was covered with dark bruises. The guards usually use electric batons to shock practitioners on their faces, hands, and elsewhere. Now they are shocking practitioners predominantly on their lower bodies so that others cannot easily detect the wounds, which are covered by the practitioners' clothes. They laugh right after beating practitioners.
  • Experiences of an Older Practitioner in Masanjia Forced Labour Camp

"In the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp, I often saw and heard guards torturing steadfast practitioners and using obscenities to insult female practitioners. Female guard Zhang Qiurong often tortured practitioners. She also frequently found male guards to help her. They tied practitioner Ms. Chen in a spread-eagle fashion and tortured her. A guard pointed at Ms. Chen's private parts and said, "You are not even worth touching." Then he stepped on and kicked her insteps with his leather shoes, causing her feet to bleed."
  • Young Female Practitioner: Tortures I Received from Police in Beijing

"In 2001 I unfurled a banner at Tiananmen Square. Several police officers appeared immediately and two of them twisted my arms behind my back and dragged me into a police van. I was sent to the Qianmen Police Station and locked away in a large jail cell. I refused to tell the police my name and address and was sent to another police station and tortured. Two of them tied a rope to my handcuffs and then used the rope to hang me up in the air in a garage. They also continuously kept pushing my head down. The weight of my whole body fell on my wrists and I felt agonising pain. They sealed my mouth so I could not make any noise. After I could not bear the torture any longer, I told them my address."
  • How a Handicapped Child and Her Mother Suffered Persecution in Beijing

"I am a handicapped person with brain paralysis. Since practising Falun Dafa my physical condition and personal image improved a great deal. For that reason, mother and I did not hesitate about going to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. On October 1st, 2001, mother and I went to Tiananmen Square to appeal for Dafa and were arrested. Because we didn't tell them our names or address, the police locked us in a cage. One policeman said: "We'll have the CCTV's 'Focal Point' people broadcast a story about a woman with her child practising Falun Gong and that the normal child has become an idiot." Mother told me that police had beaten her in an effort to force her to tell them her name and address."
  • The Police Robbed Me on the Street and Hit Me on the Head with A Shovel, Almost Blinding Me

"I was born in Hebei Province. Because of my belief in Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, the local officials and the police have persecuted me over the past few years. I was arrested and sent to a forced labour camp many times. I was beaten so severely that I almost lost my eyesight. The police stole eight thousand yuan from me in broad daylight. The village head poured petrol on me and threatened, "We will burn you with petrol and call it self-immolation."
  • Guards in the Huludao Forced Labour Camp Gang-Beat Practitioners During a Brainwashing Session

On November 9th, 2005, captain Yang Yanguo and others severely beat Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Xu Baotian because he refused to take notes during a brainwashing session held in the Fourth Brigade of the Huludao Forced Labour Camp in Liaoning Province. They struck his face, chest, and head. Both his face and head were bleeding and swollen from the beatings.
  • Authorities Viciously Torture Falun Gong Practitioners in Shandong Province No. 1 Women's Forced Labour Camp

"I am a Falun Gong practitioner from Shandong Province. I have been unjustly imprisoned and seriously tortured by the guards. As soon as I arrived in the fifth group, Wang Suzhen hit my head with his fist, said angrily, "I really want to kick you to death," and threw all my belongings out the door, including my clothing, bed cover, toothbrush, and basin. It was in the summer and very hot. Wang Suzhen imprisoned several fellow practitioners and me in a small confined compartment. We were not allowed to wash our faces, brush our teeth, or change clothes. We were slapped if we talked. The dead skin of my emaciated body peeled off layer by layer."
  • Exposure of Masanjia Forced Labour Camp's "Reform" Methods

"Guards at the camp forbade us from doing the exercises; two criminals monitored us and beat us when we practised or recited Dafa. The guards also beat us using electric batons. When their electric batons did not work, they would replace them with high-voltage ones. We were forced to sit barefoot on the ground while two criminals stepped on our legs. The guards shocked us in the middle of the feet, face and neck. The smell of burned skin filled the air. After the beatings, my neck and half of my face looked like rhubarb from the shocks and dripped yellow fluid for days. Sometimes they shocked us and then asked if we would still practise."
  • Recent Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners in Division 1 of the Second Women's Section of the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp

Force-feeding is one of the most brutal persecution methods used in Masanjia. The goal is not simply to administer food into the victim's stomach through a nasal tube, but to inflict great pain in an attempt to destroy the practitioner's will. Prior to the feeding, a few guards first strike the practitioner to the ground, pin her down, and cover her nose and mouth with plastic film until she has almost lost consciousness. Then the perpetrators make a hole in the film and insert a very thick feeding tube through the nostrils into the practitioner's stomach. The perpetrators swirl the tube around to inflict greater pain, until the practitioner has reached the limit of endurance. The guards and labour camp doctor want the practitioner to give up her belief and end the hunger strike.
  • Police Officers in Hebei Province Attempt to Extort Money from Falun Gong Practitioners and Confiscate a Practitioner's Car

On July 13th, 2005, Liu Wenming, deputy head of the Houcun Town Police Department, gathered up several other officers. In violation of the Chinese Constitution, they arrested practitioner Mr. Ma Junkai. They took him to the Houcun Town Police Department and sent him to a detention centre. Three days later Liu Wenming attempted to extort money from practitioner Mr. Ma Junkai but didn't succeed. Seven days later, Mr. Ma Junkai was sent to the Handan Forced Labour Camp to be held for three years.
