Falun Gong Practitioner Pan Qichu from Jiangxi Province Tortured to Death in 2003

Mr. Pan Qichu was a 45-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Yichun City, Jiangxi Province. He was a very strong man in good health. Around May 20, 2003, police of Yichun City Police Department arrested him. He was put into a detention centre. On June 2, 2003, he was persecuted to death. The details of his death are being investigated. -
Ms. Qu Shufen, A Farmer from Hebei Province, Was Persecuted to Death
2004-09-28In late 2001 as she was clarifying the truth to people, Ms. Qu Shufen, a farmer from Hebei Province, was detained and persecuted by policeman Gong Jingwen from the National Security Section. Both her mind and body were severely damaged as a result of abuse at the hands of the police. Upon her return home, it was apparent that Ms. Qu had suffered a mental collapse. She died, a victim of injustice, at the end of 2003. -
The Autobiographical Story of a Teacher Who Lost Her Life as a Result of the Persecution

Li Guangzhen, a model teacher at Zhongxing Elementary School in Machang Village, Jianping County, Liaoning Province died as a result of mistreatment suffered in the persecution on June the 18th 2004. This is a letter she wrote to her fellow practitioners before her death. -
Senior Citizen Dies from Stress Caused by the Relentless Persecution of His Family
2004-09-27After Jiang Zemin began his persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Mr. Wang's daughter, daughter-in-law, grandson, and granddaughter-in-law were all sentenced to three years of forced labour because of their belief in Falun Gong. His daughter and daughter-in-law were allowed parole to get medical help after they had been severely tortured. On March 13, 2003, a group of officials went to Mr. Wang's house to arrest his daughter again. Since she was not there, the officials began to harass Mr. Wang. As a result, he died on March 14, after he was taken to Jiangnan 465 Air Force Hospital for emergency rescue. -
Additional Information of How 31-Year-Old Female Falun Gong Practitioner Zhang Hong Was Persecuted to Death
2004-09-26Under the high frequency and extremely long, cruel persecution, numerous Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted to death in Wanjia Forced Labour Camp. The Wanjia Forced Labour Camp tries to force every Falun Gong practitioner to write the "Three Statements." They will torture, force to squat, hang up by their arms and electrically shock practitioners. Some practitioners were badly burned by electric batons--it was unbearable to watch. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Rao Chaoyuan Tortured to Disability While His Brother is Tortured to Death
2004-09-26Rao Chaoyuan, 40, lives in Guangdong Province. He is the brother of Falun Dafa practitioner Rao Zhuoyuan, who died from being tortured. After being illegally held for over one year, Rao Chaoyuan was sentenced to eight years in prison in January 2003. Right now he is being held at Sihui Prison in Guangdong Province. One of his legs was crippled after been beaten and subjected to other torture leaving him disabled. -
Four Innocent Female Falun Dafa Practitioners from Guangdong Province Died from Physical and Mental Abuse
2004-09-25Three ladies, Li Qixi, Tang Ying, and Li Baoxia of Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province, were brutally persecuted for practising Falun Dafa. They were forced to give up their belief, were tortured both mentally and physically, and finally passed away. In addition, Li Zhongjuan, an older woman, suffered harassment from the vicious people. Her son and daughter-in-law were also persecuted. She finally died because of the persecution. -
Three More Falun Dafa Practitioners Died after Torture in Shenyang Prison
2004-09-25During the period from the middle of June to the Middle of September, three more Falun Dafa practitioners died after being tortured in Liaoning Provincial Prisons' General Hospital. They were all admitted after they went on hunger strikes: 34-year-old Mr. Gao Lianyi, Mr. Zhou Zhi and Mr. Guan Wenjiang. After Mr Gao died, many of the patients who were in the same room as him said, "This is not simply persecution, this is murder!" -
Additional Information about the Murder of Elderly Falun Gong Practitioner Peng Guangjun at the Beijing Tuanhe Forced Labour Camp
2004-09-25Mr. Peng Guangjun was an elderly Falun Gong practitioner who lived in Huairou District, Beijing. He was sent to the Tuanhe Forced Labour Camp and after a day of incarceration was sent to hospital, pronounced dead that same day. The authorities were adamant in trying to hide the fact that Peng Guangjun had been beaten to death. An official threatened his family "to give up investigating the cause of Peng Guangjun's death" after they requested an autopsy, "If you don't want to obey the government's arrangement, we'll make all your family members jobless so that you all will be unable to make a living." -
Twenty-Three Falun Gong Practitioners Verified Being Tortured to Death in August 2004 (Photos)
2004-09-23A total of twenty-three deaths by torture cases were reported in August 2004 from ten provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities. Five deaths in Liaoning Province, four deaths in Sichuan Province, four deaths in Tianjin City, three deaths in Heilongjiang Province, two deaths in Hebei Province, and one death each in Jilin, Shandong, Anhui, and Guizhou Provinces, and Xingjiang Autonomous Region. Seven practitioners were older than 50 and represent 30 percent of the total death numbers. Ten were women, representing 43 percent of the total death by torture numbers. -
More Information on How Practitioner Ms Deng Jianping from Sichuan Province Was Tortured to Death
2004-09-2242-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Ms Deng Jianping was from Sichuan Province. On March 17, 2004 she was abducted from a house and jailed in a County Detention Centre. While detained there, she refused to give up her belief in Falun Gong and its principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance," and as a consequence had to endure brutal tortures. She was taken to hospital in a skeletal state. When her family saw her they were shocked and it broke their hearts. She was tortured to death on August 11, 2004. -
More Details Regarding the Torture Death of Dafa Practitioner Ms. He Xiuling
2004-09-20Dafa practitioner Ms. He Xiuling lived in Shandong Province. She was tortured while being held at a Detention Centre in Yantai City and passed away on March 11, 2004. Her husband requested an autopsy, and personnel from the Judicial and Public Security Bureau in Yantai City performed it, but they refused to give him the report. Later, he consulted other medical experts who went to the hospital to look at He Xiuling's medical records. They brought up the following: "1. There is no record of emergency treatment; 2. How did the cerebral embolism form? 3. There was no death certification report; 4. There are no results of the spinal tap; 5. There is no group diagnosis record. -
Additional Information about the Torture and Death of Dafa Practitioner Mr. Wei Xinhua from Gansu Province
2004-09-20In December 2003, Wei Xinhua was sent to the Dashaping Prison in Lanzhou City. The guards tortured him with various measures including hanging him up, beatings, injections with unknown drugs, and sleep deprivation. He became extremely thin from the torture. On April 12 2004, he was sent to a hospital for an examination and the doctor said that his internal organs were severely damaged. On April 16, the officials from the prison were reluctant to spend too much money on his health care and so Mr. Wei was sent back to Prison. On April 17, 2004, the prison let his family take him home to die. Wei Xinhua passed away 24 hours later on April 18. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. He Xiuling Tortured to Death; Yantai City Police Attempt to Cover Up the Truth with Bribery
2004-09-19Ms. He Xiuling was tortured to death on March 11, 2004 for believing in Falun Gong and being a good person in accordance with, "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance". The responsible parties are the "610 Office", Detention Centre and Yuhuangding Hospital in Yantai City. I have been appealing for justice to the Supreme Procuratorate. The "610 Office " has sent people to bribe me many times. They even asked my neighbour to pressure me, telling her they'd pay 100,000 Yuan, or even more if necessary on the condition that I gave up my appeals. -
Supplementary Information Regarding the Torture Death of Liu Chengjun
2004-09-19In December 2003, Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Chengjun was on the verge of death due to persecution at Jilin City Prison. He was sent twice in one week to a hospital. After the horrific deeds of the prison were partially made public, Liu's family members went to the hospital, demanding his release. The labour camp hospital was shocked, and immediately held a meeting to investigate how the news had leaked out. Their fear after discovering that their deeds had been exposed was quite significant.
