    The German Human Rights Association invited Chinese students in Germany to report the persecution of their relatives in China for practising Falun Gong. The following is summarised from a report by reporter Tian Yi of RFA in Germany on April the 8th 2004.

  • Radio France Internationale: “The World Organisation to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong” Publishes its Investigation Report

    “The World Organisation to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong” announced yesterday that it would launch a new book entitled “Investigation Reports on the Persecution of Falun Gong” in Geneva where the annual United Nations Commission for Human Rights is being held. This book was published at the end of March this year, and copies of the book will be given to the representatives of different countries participating in the commission meeting.

    In 1999, Falun Gong was banned in China by Jiang’s regime. Countless people were arrested overnight for practising a peaceful traditional meditation exercise system. Many were tortured physically and mentally, even to death. In the mean time, Falun Gong spread to the west and every continent on earth. It has many western practitioners. People all over the world call for the end of inhuman treatment of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Law suits have been filed against the Chinese leaders responsible for the persecution.
  • Radio France Internationale: Thousands of Falun Gong Practitioners from over Sixty Countries will Parade through New York

    According to a journalist from Taiwan’s Central News Agency, thousands of Falun Gong practitioners from over sixty countries around the world will parade through New York’s Chinatown in Manhattan this Saturday afternoon. This large-scale parade, entitled “The Journey of Fa-rectification,” will have nine sections, and will use means such as dancing to introduce Falun Gong and draw people’s attention to the persecution in China.
  • Human Rights Organisations Encourage U.S to Introduce a China Resolution at UNHRC

    This resolution points out that China's human rights record continued worsening in the past year. Examples include the on-going repression of spiritual and political groups such as Falun Gong practitioners, Tibetans, Catholics, Protestants, the unjust arrest and detention of spiritual leaders and political dissidents, harsh conditions in prisons and labour camps, forced-labour in labour camps, coercive family planning policies, and deprivation of fundamental freedoms of expression, assembly and press.
  • Swiss News Agency: Approximately 500 Falun Gong Practitioners Appeal at the Opening of the UN Human Rights Commission

    'According to Falun Gong practitioners, in the past few months they have suffered severe torture and persecution. In only three months, sixty four Falun Gong practitioners have died from brutal torture in prisons, including boiling water being poured on them and serious injury resulting from the use of electric batons on several parts of their bodies.'
  • Special Report by Geneva Broadcasting Station on the Persecution of Falun Gong

    Hundreds of Falun Gong practitioners from all over the world gathered together in Geneva, at the opening of the 60th United Nation Human Rights Conference, to peacefully appeal for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China, which has lasted for 5 years. Geneva Broadcasting station interviewed the Swiss Falun Dafa Association, as well as two practitioners who had personally encountered persecution.
  • Radio Free Asia: Germany will Support US Resolution Condemning China’s Human Rights

    On March 22nd, the US government put forward a resolution condemning China’s human rights. In response, the Chinese government not only put forward a White Paper to defend its position, but also tried to persuade some member African nations to shun the resolution. To gauge the reaction of the German society and government, RFA’s correspondent interviewed a Law scholar from the University of China, Ms Zheng Zhihong, now living in Berlin, on the evening of Tuesday 30th.

    'Products made by Falun Gong practitioners in other labour camps that are often exported include: moon cake boxes, dishwashing products, popsicle sticks, coffee straws, hand made wool coats, buttons, bedding products, plastic cement packages, fake eyelashes, embroidered products, hand knitted hats, dry flowers, plastic flowers, necklaces, and other handcrafts.'
  • Practitioners in Geneva were Interviewed by a Radio Station

    Several hundred Falun Gong practitioners from all parts of the world gathered in Geneva for the opening of the sixtieth session of the United Nations Human Rights Commission, to appeal peacefully for a halt to the persecution that has been raging in China for almost five years. The Swiss Falun Gong Association and two victims of the persecution were interviewed by Radio City, a local radio station, for a broadcast devoted entirely to Falun Gong.

    'Bo Xilai, who recently became a China Business Department minister, plans to visit Germany on Thursday March the 25th. He will encounter the strongest possible protest and condemnation by German Falun Gong practitioners and human rights groups. Protests began last weekend.'

  • EFGIC: Worldwide Appeals Identify Four Chinese Officials Who Lead the Atrocities against Falun Gong

    'In more than 20 countries during the past few months, Falun Gong practitioners have been holding appeals and press conferences to highlight four Chinese officials who lead the campaign to “eradicate Falun Gong” in China. Two of the four, former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin and Politburo Standing Committee Member Luo Gan, have already been the target of several lawsuits and their names are frequently cited in documents detailing the persecution of Falun Gong. The other two, Minister of Public Security Zhou Yongkang and “6-10 Office” Chief Liu Jing, have –until the recent appeals – not been widely named in connection with the atrocities against Falun Gong.'
  • EFGIC: 30 Torture and Severe Abuse-related Deaths of Falun Gong Practitioners Reported in February

    LONDON (EFGIC) – During the month of February 2004, details of 30 deaths of Falun Gong practitioners in China were uncovered despite a continued black-out maintained by Chinese authorities on information about Falun Gong-related cases. Many of the deaths occurred in the past few months, while some were deaths from 2002 and 2001 that have only recently been uncovered.
