But, we hope that he would stop damaging China’s human rights, stop persecuting Falun Gong, and be able to put the people who suggested the persecution of Falun Gong first, like Jiang Zemin, on trial. Report from Spanish Newspaper La voz de Almera: Jiang Zemin Has Been Sued for the Crime of Genocide at the Spanish National Court
2004-05-12'Last October, Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese President, was sued by eighteen Falun Gong practitioners from all over the world for crimes of genocide and torture at the Spanish National Court. Falun Gong is an ancient meditation practice and was warmly welcomed by people in China. However, nearly 100 million practitioners are under brutal persecution carried out by the Chinese Government.' -

Radio Free Asia: Request from the Chinese Delegation Puzzles German Police
2004-05-09The Chinese Premier concluded his visit to Germany on May 5th, and headed for Brussels. During Wen Jiabao's stay in Berlin, the Chinese delegation pressured German police to confiscate the banners unfurled by Falun Gong practitioners and other demonstrators. It became a problem for the German police. Regarding this incident, Radio Free Asia’s correspondent interviewed a legal scholar, Ms. Zheng Zhihong, who was involved in this matter. -

2004-05-08In sharp contrast to the happy celebrations in Trafalgar Square, Bo Xilai, China’s Minister of Commerce, who visits London this weekend, will find that legal proceedings have been initiated against him by UK Falun Gong practitioners for his crimes of torture against fellow Falun Gong practitioners in China. The Metropolitan Police at New Scotland Yard accepted the formal allegation made against Bo Xilai for serious crimes and a request for his arrest upon arrival in the UK by issuing a Crime Number. -
Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners’ Banner Reading “Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice” Draws Attention during Wen Jiabao’s Visit
2004-05-07During Premier Wen Jiabao’s visit to Berlin, Falun Gong practitioners unfurled banners that read, “Welcome Wen Jiabao” and “Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice”. However the Chinese delegation requested to remove the banner reading “Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice”, saying that to “bring Jiang to justice” is to sentence him to death. German psychiatrists said this indicated that those who participated in the persecution and those who protected the participants are very clear about the consequence of their actions in terms of international law. -

2004-05-07'Before the Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao visited Germany, the police department in Germany acknowledged that during Jiang Zemin’s visit to Germany the year before last, certain police behaviour meted out to Falun Gong practitioners was illegal. They also promised from now on they will improve communications with Falun Gong practitioners when they engage in appeals and demonstrations during visits by Chinese officials.' -

The activities gave students from the second year an opportunity to understand China from many perspectives. They saw the many bright sides of China as well as the bad side. A picture of a huge Buddha was hung with a couplet at the entrance to the hall where Zhang Cuiying’s art exhibition was held, making it very clear that the activity's theme was China. EFGIC: 31-year-old Woman Beaten to Death for Falun Gong Practice
2004-05-05LONDON (EFGIC) – On April 1st, 2004, Chinese police ransacked the home of Ms. Huang Zhao and her husband, stealing valuables and detaining the couple who both practise Falun Gong. Two weeks later, Huang was dead. Witnesses say by the second day of her detention, Huang had been severely beaten and could no longer walk. -

FGIC (UK): World Press Freedom Day Spotlights China as the World’s Leading Jailer of Journalists
2004-05-04LONDON (FGIC-UK) – From the 139 countries observed for press freedom in 2002, China ranked second to last. The Independent Committee to Protect Journalists named Jiang Zemin in the Top Ten Worst Enemies of the Press for five years in a row for exercising the Communist Party's obsessive control over information. This has been partly enforced via harsh prison sentences that have now made China the world's leading jailer of journalists. -

2004-05-04"It was International Labour Day yesterday, over seven hundred Falun Gong practitioners from around the world gathered in Hong Kong to attend the 2004 Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference. Falun Gong practitioners came from Taiwan, Canada, Australia, America, Malaysia, Thailand, Macao and Hong Kong. Huang Jieyi, the contact person for Falun Gong in Hong Kong, told the CNA reporter that some practitioners had been prevented from entering Hong Kong by the authorities." -

2004-05-03On May 2nd, the Chinese Premier will arrive in Germany. The Berlin Administrative Court judge, the representatives of the German Federal Department of Domestic Affairs and representatives of the German Falun Dafa Association officially reached an agreement this week, confirming that the behavior of the Federal Department of Domestic Affairs during Jiang Zemin’s visit to Germany in April 2002 was illegal. Journalists interviewed Ms Zheng Zhihong, who participated in the lawsuit and attended the meeting. -
