• Ms. Zhao Limei Taken to Brainwashing Centre in Hebei Province

  Li County 610 Office agents abducted Ms. Zhao Limei from her workplace on April 6th, 2007. They put Ms. Zhao in handcuffs and then took her to the Xiaobailou Brainwashing Centre in Baoding City. Cui Wukui, Assistant Principal of TV University and two teachers attempted to brainwash Ms. Zhao. Ms. Zhao demanded to be released. She didn’t eat anything all day. A physical examination revealed that Ms. Zhao had high blood pressure and a rapid heart rate. In the evening the people from the university took her back home. At her doorway the villains tried to take Ms. Zhao’s keys, and she was injured in the struggle. Ms. Zhao Limei was forced into a divorce, and her mother, who’s in her seventies, suffered a lot due to the persecution.

• Mr. Bian Changxue from Hebei Province Has Been on a Hunger Strike for Eight Months

  Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Bian Changxue was arrested and his home ransacked many times by agents from the 610 Office. This has happened since the persecution began on July 20th, 1999, due to Mr. Bian's firm belief in the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and for informing people about the true nature of Falun Gong. He was sentenced to seven years in prison in December 2006. To protest the persecution, he has been on hunger strike since August 7th, 2006.

• Family of Five Arrested in Qingdao City, Shandong Province for Practising Falun Dafa

  On October 16th, 2006, at around 6:00 a.m., Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Xue was awakened by the sound of someone pounding on her door. Local 610 Office personnel and public security police officers, totalling around 16, forced their way in and ransacked her house. The confiscated a computer, CD-burner, copy machine, fax machine and personal items. At the same time, they arrested 30-year-old Li Xue and her father Mr. Li Yuzhen. On the following day they also arrested Li Xue's sister Li Mei and her older brother Li Jun.

• Condemn and Punish Those Who Have Persecuted Practitioner Ms. Zhang Lianying

  During the last few months Beijing Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Lianying has been subjected to brutal torture at the Beijing Women’s Forced Labour Camp. Ms. Zhang was on a hunger strike when she shouted, “Falun Dafa is good!” In retribution the guards assigned inmates to apply a new kind of torture. They tied a rope tightly around her neck. Just when she was about to lose consciousness they violently beat her. They repeated the torture countless times. Labour camp guards monitored the torture sessions by television. On the morning of March 20th Ms. Zhang was suffering inter-cranial hemorrhaging due to the torture and her life was in danger. She was sent to Renhe Hospital in Beijing for emergency surgery and regained consciousness afterwards.

• An Entire Family Suffers under the Persecution

  On December 4th, 2006, 610 Officers, in broad daylight, demolished two of my homes. According to witnesses, at around 2:10 p.m. on December 4th, 2006, an SUV appeared in Zhaogezhuang Village, where one of my houses was located. Four people in their 40s got out of the car. They wore plainclothes with nothing in their hands. They headed directly toward my house. Two of them climbed over the wall, and one picked up a brick and threw it at a window. They opened the door and let the other two in. They broke all the windows and doors and destroyed all the glassware and appliances. A dozen bystanders heard the noise and went to see. They used the handles from shovels to break anything they could. In less than 30 minutes, my house was in ruins.

• A 69-Year-Old Man from Laishui County, Hebei Province, Is Persecuted, His House Repeatedly Ransacked

  On April 23rd, 2002, officers from the Longmen County Government Office and the Longmen Police Department intruded on my house. They said that the number of Dafa practitioners at home in the village was not high enough, so they came to my house and started to confiscate things. The officers pulled me outside and handcuffed me to the car. They broke into my big cupboard and stole about sixteen hundred yuan in cash that I had saved penny by penny. That was several years' income for me and my wife. Finally there was really nothing left that the officers could take, so they picked all the sprouts off the tree in my yard. My house was completely ransacked. I was taken to the Longmen County Government Office and severely beaten. Several officers surrounded me and hit me brutally. My nose was broken and it, along with my mouth, kept bleeding. My face was bruised, and I was in awful pain.

• Whole Family Persecuted: Father Dies, Mother Detained, Son and Daughter's Marriages Obstructed

  Because Ms. Chen Shufen and her husband, Huo Shimin, were both sentenced because of practising Falun Dafa, their family condition became very poor. At that moment Huo Shimin's father was sick in bed, and he also had a mother who was more than ninety years old. Huo's father missed his son and daughter-in-law very much, and felt very sad. He passed away in spring 2004, before Huo came home. His grandmother and mother are still healthy. Ms. Chen's son and daughter both reached a marriageable age. Only because their mother practises “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance,” and persists in her belief is she being detained. Both the son and daughter's marriages were interfered with. All family members, relatives and friends are worried about them.

• Unjust Trial Held by Officials of Guta District, Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province

  Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Lifeng was sentenced by the District Court in Jinzhou City. His family and friends appealed to the Jinzhou City Intermediate Court. They met with Chief Judge Deng Jilin (male) and juror member Li Yuhui (male), and told them that Mr. Zhang had benefited from practising Falun Dafa both mentally and physically. Under extraordinary courage, he distributed the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and risked his life to tell people the truth. His actions exercised a citizen's right to freedom of speech as defined in the constitution.

• Practitioner from Heilongjiang Province Is Persecuted and Loses Memory After Eating Food at Detention Centre

  I was arrested and taken to the Mulan County Detention Centre on July 26th, 2004. During the mid-autumn festival, I ate a moon cake distributed by the jail and lost my memory afterwards. There must have been drugs in the moon cake. After some time, the authorities brought me to court. I only saw people open their mouths, but I could not hear anything. After a few minutes, they quickly took me away. They once locked me in a guarded house, and made me sit on an "iron chair" with my hands locked behind me and my head covered with a quilt. I passed out. After a long time, I found myself sitting in a car. I recall nothing at all from that time. Later I found that I had been sent to jail.

• Practitioners Forced to Have Blood Tests at Jiangxi Province Women's Forced Labour Camp

  All practitioners sent to the Jiangxi Province Women's Forced Labour Camp in Qingyunpu District had a blood test. The guards used other inmates to force Falun Dafa practitioners to give blood. Due to the unprofessional nature of the blood tests, after taking a blood sample, an inmate who was a drug addict became infected with AIDS. The guards from the labour camp knew this fact but hid the truth. They forced this inmate to do labour and to serve as a “monitor” to watch the practitioners.

• 64-Year-Old Mr. Yang Pingsheng from Jiangxi Province Tortured to Death in Prison - His Family Only Allowed to See His Ashes

  Mr. Yang Pingsheng, 64, was arrested by police from the Wuning County Police Department in April 2005 while distributing leaflets exposing the persecution. He was sentenced to four years in prison and detained in Nanchang City Prison. He was tortured to death at the prison in March 2007. His family was instructed to pick up his ashes, and was not allowed to see his body.

• Hebei Province: Falun Dafa Practitioner Cao Jiwei Injured by Torture - Wife Placed in Detention

  Since July 1999, when the Jiang Zemin regime started the persecution of Falun Gong, Mr. Cao Jiwei has been repeatedly arrested and subjected to persecution. His wife has also suffered persecution. On April 7th, 2000 the couple was sent to the Laishui County Communist Party School for persecution. In order to try to force them to give up Falun Gong, the police tortured them severely. At one point, deputy party head Sun Guijie whipped Ms. Meng Qinglian’s face with a shoe. One day in the middle of the night the police hit them with a wooden stick and forced them to kneel on bricks. Then the thugs laid a stick across their legs, and several policemen stepped on the stick. The couple could not endure the torture any longer and signed a statement against their will. They still had to pay a 6,600 yuan fine. They were placed deeply in debt before they were allowed to go home.

• Ms. Yang Xiaolan from Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province Inhumanly Tortured for the Past Seven Years

  In November 2000, Ms. Yang Xiaolan went to Shunde City to distribute leaflets exposing the persecution and was arrested. The police subjected her to sleep deprivation for two whole days. When she was detained in the Sunde City Qinliu Detention Centre, she keep doing the exercises. The guards handcuffed her and attached a straight metal rod onto both of her legs for one week, causing her to not be able to bend her legs or relax while sleeping. She was in tremendous pain. Ms. Yang went on hunger strike to protest this treatment. The guards pressed her down, tied her up with rope, and then had an inexperienced nurse insert a tube to force-feed her. Ms. Yang was screaming from pain, and her blood flowed like running water.

• Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Wang Liqiu from Jilin City, Jilin Province Holds Hunger Strike and Suffers Serious Heart Attacks

  At noon on March 24th, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Liqiu's mother received a phone call from a kind-hearted person, saying that Wang Liqiu was holding a hunger strike in the detention centre. She often had heart attacks and her health condition was very serious. The caller also told the family members that they should go to the detention centre and request Wang Liqiu's release. After receiving the phone call, Wang Liqiu's 77-year-old father and 74-year-old mother were very anxious. They had no choice and decided to go to the detention centre to ask for their daughter's release.

• Accountant Ms. Li Junxia Suffers Mental Collapse from Brutal Torture at Chenjiaji Brainwashing Centre in Wuhan City, Hubei Province

  Falun Dafa practitioner Li Junxia was persecuted several times by officials of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) due to her firm belief in Falun Dafa. In December 2006, agents from the 610 Office in the Jiangan District, Wuhan City detained her in the Chenjiaji Brainwashing Centre. She was mentally traumatized by the torture she suffered. They tortured her and cursed her and forced her to curse Dafa. Li Junxia eventually suffered a mental collapse.
