Condition Critical: All Practitioners in the Fourth Prison of Hebei Province Are Hunger Striking to Protest Brutal Treatment

Since October 26, 2005, all Dafa practitioners at the Fourth Prison of Hebei Province have been on a hunger strike collectively to protest the atrocities of the prison authorities and to appeal for an unconditional release. In August officials dragged them to a specially guarded building, where criminal inmates were instigated by the police to torture those practitioners day and night. The police force-fed the practitioners on hunger strike with highly concentrated salt solution several times. -
Shenglilu Police Department in Zhangjiakou City Brutally Persecutes Dafa Practitioners
2005-12-02Police shocked Ms Wang Haiying all over her body with electric batons throughout the night. They struck her throat with their palms until she could hardly breathe. They took off her shoes and struck the soles of her feet with spiked rubber clubs; they tightened the "wolf-teeth" handcuffs until they cut into her wrists; they grabbed her cuffed hands and jerked them back and forth until blood dripped down her wrists. During this period they ransacked Wang Haiying's home. -
Urgent Appeal on Behalf of Practitioners Illegally Detained in Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp
2005-12-01Practitioners Ms. Zhao Shuying and Ms Chen Aihong wrote a letter to the camp director to expose many camp team leaders' crimes. On July 22nd, 2005, the letter was found in Chen Aihong's bed by the police when they searched the cells. In retaliation, on September 14th, Li Xuejun came to Class 4, where Chen Aihong was detained, and suddenly struck Chen's head. It led Chen's heart disease to recur. In protest, Chen Aihong went on a hunger strike and requested a meeting with the camp director. Ms. Zhao Shuying also joined the hunger strike, but Li Xuejun did not allow them to see the director. Instead, he handcuffed them on September 16th and sent them to Gaoyang County Hospital for force-feeding. -
The Shocking Results from Searching "Unknown Drug" on the Internet
2005-12-01Sun Fuxiang said she witnessed the death of Ms. Zhang: "The police stripped Ms. Zhang and shaved her head. They tortured and insulted her. She was tied, spread eagled, on a bed. She had to relieve herself on the bed. Then they injected some unknown poisonous drug into her. As soon as she was injected with the drug, she felt unbearable pain. She struggled as if she were being driven out of her mind, and she died very painfully. The officials from the 610 Office witnessed the entire episode of Ms. Zhang's death." Ms. Zhang Fuzhen was only 38 years old. -
Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners by Officers from the Gongye Street Police Station and the Nanzhan Police Department in Zhangjiakou City
2005-12-01In June 2003, practitioner Miao Chuanzeng went into a bank. Right after he entered about six police officers pinned him to the ground and kicked and beat him. They subsequently took him to the police station. The deputy head ordered him to spy on other Falun Gong practitioners and promised him large monetary rewards in return. He also promised to invest in Miao Chuanzeng's plan to open a restaurant if he agreed to work for the police. The police told Miao Chuanzeng to go to a custody centre and pretend to go on a hunger strike to gain the trust of other practitioners, to obtain information about other practitioners and about sites producing leaflets exposing the persecution so the police could destroy the sites and arrest the practitioners. -
The Persecution in the Daxing'anling Area in Heilongjiang Province
2005-12-01Although Tuqiang Forest Bureau is in such a remote area, its persecution of Falun Gong practitioners is quite severe. It is quite difficult for the locals to learn the facts about Falun Gong, as the local police often confiscate all the leaflets exposing the persecution. Recently, Tuqiang Forest Bureau assembled key directors of each local company for an urgent meeting on how to toughen up their persecution of Falun Gong. It asked each company to find out the exact number of practitioners in their companies and do everything possible to "transform" them. The responsibility of a leadership position is directly tied to the effectiveness of doing this "transformation" job. -
Mr. Li Guang Dies from Shocks from 50,000 Volt Electric Batons and Other Barbaric Methods of Torture
2005-11-30Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Guang was a TV programme host employed by the Laizhou City TV Station in Shandong Province. He was locked up in Huaibei Prison and was brutally tortured. In November 2004 the prison director cuffed his hands behind his back, and shocked him on his head, spine, legs, and private parts with two fifty-thousand volt batons. Li Guang passed out instantly. He was carried to his cell, hung onto the bed, hands and feet tied together, deprived of sleep, had cold water poured on him and prisoners pinched his testicles, making Mr. Li scream in pain. They tortured Mr. Li like this for 8-9 days, but he still refused to give up his faith in Falun Dafa. He was tortured to death on December 3rd, 2004. -
Police Force Victim to Sign Falsified Document in Guangdong Province
2005-11-30On June 16th, 2005, officers from the Poxin Town Police Station, intending to avoid responsibility for their devious conduct, forced Dafa practitioner Zheng Meiquan to sign falsified documents. The papers stated that their police station had nothing to do with extorting more than 6,000 yuan from Zheng, and instead blamed the extortion on the Maoming 610 Office. They denied all responsibility for taking the money. -
The Persecution I Suffered and Witnessed in Nanmusi Labour Camp in Sichuan Province
2005-11-30"The labour camp tramples practitioners like dirt. Practitioners are casually beaten to death or disability. Camp guards once goaded an inmate to beat a fifty-year-old female practitioner to death. This inmate assaulted the practitioner in a locked bathroom. The practitioner was taken out when she had only one breath left. The camp guard ordered me to get medicine from the clinic and said that the situation was very serious. I was told to go back to my cell when I returned with the medicine. No practitioners were allowed to leave their cells. Two hours later, two former practitioners carried away a stretcher. I never saw that female practitioner again. A few days later, an inmate told me that she died from the beating." -
Practitioner Mr. Wu Jianzhen from Tianjin City Was Severely Persecuted
2005-11-30In July 2004, Dafa practitioner Mr. Wu Jianzhen was arrested in in Tianjin City. The police were not able to extort a confession from Mr. Wu Jianzhen, so they transferred him to the Wuqing District jail that same night. Resisting the persecution, Mr. Wu began a hunger strike. A prison doctor forced a tube into his nose to force-feed him, causing him to vomit much blood and to have breathing difficulties. He returned to normal only after a long time. -
Ms. Wang Shouhui and Her Son Liu Boyang Tortured to Death Within Two Weeks of Each Other
2005-11-29At 4:20 p.m. on October 28th, 2005, Liu Boyang and his mother Wang Shouhui were followed when they were delivering informational materials to a practitioner's home. They were arrested at the practitioner's home and detained at the Kuancheng District Public Security Sub-Bureau. The police tortured both the mother and son, and Liu Boyang died at 8 p.m. that same night. In less than two weeks, Ms. Wang Shouhui was also tortured to death. She did not know that her son had been tortured to death when she died. Mr. Liu Boyang was a very kind young man. He won a merit award every year at his workplace. His colleagues are all very sad about his death. -
Practitioners Ms. Wang Xiuqing and Mr. Jin Zhe from Jilin Province Recently Passed Away Due to the Persecution
2005-11-29Practitioners Ms. Wang Xiuqing and Mr. Jin Zhe from Longjing City, Zizhi State, Jilin Province, were persecuted so intensely by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) that they were forced to become homeless. Having suffered severely both physically and mentally, they passed away, one in September and the other in November 2005. Ms. Wang Xiuqing was 55 years old. In 2001, just for telling the facts of Falun Dafa to other people, police sent her to a forced labour camp for one year and suffered unspeakable tortures. She eventually became seriously ill, and she passed away on November 3rd, 2005. Mr. Jin Zhe, in his 30s, became very ill due to the long-term persecution, and passed away in September 2005. -
Family in Mainland China Persecuted, Hong Kong Resident Calls on Hong Kong Legislative Members for Help
2005-11-29Hong Kong resident Ms. Dong Ming's family lives in Zhejiang Province. Since many of her family members started practising Falun Gong they have benefited mentally and physically. However, since the beginning of the persecution of Falun Gong, the family was often harassed, had their home ransacked and was arrested. These frequent incidents traumatised the ageing father. He became paralysed and passed away on March 19th, 2005. This sad turn of affairs caused the over 70-year-old mother to become ill. -
Hubei Province's Shayang Fanjiatai Prison Brutally Persecutes Falun Gong Practitioners
2005-11-29Cheng Xiaobao was arrested and sent to Fanjiatai Prison in July 2002. In August 2004, while Mr. Cheng was sitting on the bed, the person who monitored him thought he was doing the exercises and reported him to the guards. The guards incited four people to forcibly bring Mr. Cheng to a brick factory and attempted to force him to do prison labour. Mr. Cheng refused, and the police had four thugs beat him brutally. Mr. Cheng was beaten to the point of having cuts and bruises all over his body, and his legs were purple and black. Later he was lifted into the kiln to be exposed to the high temperature. In addition, they rolled a cart loaded with more than 500 kilogrammes of bricks over Mr. Cheng's ankle, creating a bleeding cut four centimetres long and one centimetre deep. -
Dafa Practitioner Li Yequan Needs Immediate Rescue: He Is on the Verge of Death, His Oesophagus Ruptured during Force-Feeding
2005-11-28On September 23rd, 2005, Mr. Li Yequan, a Dafa practitioner from Heilongjiang Province was "illegally arrested". Li Yequan immediately began a hunger strike, demanding to be released without any charges. However, he was brutally persecuted through force-feeding. His oesophagus was ruptured from repeated force-feeding, and he frequently loses consciousness from the unbearable pain. According to witnesses, the brutal force-feeding of Li Yequan by the police is a scene too horrible for description by any language. His health is in a critical state.
