Practitioner Wang Huizhong Persecuted and Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison

In October 2000, Wang Huizhong, a villager in his 50s, went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. There, police officers arrested him and transported him back to the Wuwei City Detention Centre for a three-month imprisonment term. In May 2002, while Wang Huizhong was informing people about the true nature of Falun Gong, he was reported to the police, arrested and sentenced to an eight-year term in prison. Mr. Wang was confined in Lanzhou Prison for three months. Later he was transferred back to Wuwei Prison. In November 2005, he was transferred to Jiuquan Forced Labour Camp, where he has been subjected to even more vicious treatment. -
Dr. Li Aijun, Physician at a Beijing Hospital, Sentenced to Nine Years in Prison
2007-05-26In 2002, Dr. Li Aijun, a physician at Xiyuan Hospital in Beijing, was sentenced to nine years in prison for practising Falun Dafa. She has already served five years in the Tiantanghe Women's Prison in Beijing. Since her imprisonment, Dr. Li has been unable to care for her elderly parents or her son, a high school student. Her husband works hard every day, but he has no one to look after him. Dr. Li's heavy prison sentence has brought severe emotional trauma as well as economic loss to her family. The guards at the Beijing Women's Prison often beat practitioners with impunity. -
Practitioner Mr. Xue Xinkai in Serious Condition - His Family Not Allowed to Visit
2007-05-25Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Xue Xinkai was arrested on April 10th, 2007, and detained in Yingkou City Prison. His family went to visit him on April 12th and April 25th, but they were not allowed to see him because prison officials claimed, "he was not feeling guilty enough." On May 7th, 2007, his family went to visit him for the third time, but they were refused again. They learned that Mr. Xue had vomited blood on April 14th and his condition was so poor that the doctor could not do an endoscopy to exam the source of his problem. The doctor found he had a duodenal ulcer and his stomach was bleeding. He is still being given medication and cannot eat normally. He is detained in the patient ward. -
Hong Kong Practitioner Ms. Zeng Aihua Suddenly Develops Severe Hypertension in Shanghai Women's Prison
2007-05-25According to a recent message, Hong Kong Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zeng Aihua suddenly developed symptoms of severe hypertension (high blood pressure) a week after she was sent to Shanghai Women's Prison. In February 2007, Ms. Zeng was sentenced to three years of imprisonment. In March 2007, her appeal was rejected at a second trial. On April 16th, 2007, she was sent to Shanghai Women's Prison. Shanghai Women's Prison did not inform Ms. Zeng's family of her situation. Between April 16th and May 15th, her family called the prison several times and enquired about when they could visit her. The prison guards always said that it would depend on whether Ms. Zeng showed regret for practising Falun Gong, but they never mentioned her health. -
Mother Sues Chinese Communist Party (CCP) National Security Group for Detaining Her Daughter
2007-05-25My daughter, Wang Liqiu, hasn't been home since she went out at around 4:00 p.m. on February 13th, 2007. Our family searched for her everywhere. On March 14th the family learned that Wang Liqiu had been taken to a police canine training base in Chuanying District, Jilin City on February 13th. In a secret torture room the officers had poured eight cups of a water and mustard mixture into her nose. They filled her nose until the liquid was coming out of her mouth, and Wang Liqiu blacked out several times. Di Shigang and the others threw cold water on her to wake her, and then resumed pouring the mustard water into her nose. We request that the People's Procuratorate process this case according to the law and immediately release Wang Liqiu. -
Arrests of 6 Practitioners in Weifang, Shandong Province
2007-05-25Between April 7th and 18th, 2007, six Falun Gong practitioners were arrested by Li Shenghua, Li Zhixin, and other police officers. Currently, Ms. Tian is free as she managed to escape. Mr. Dai, Mr. Li, and Ms. Shi are still imprisoned and being persecuted. After Ms. Xu and Ms. Li were arrested by police officers Jing Zhi, Li Zhixin and others, they were taken to Wangcun Women's Forced Labour Camp and sentenced to one-and-a-half years of forced labour. -
Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Propaganda Twists the Facts and Slanders Innocent People
2007-05-24At around 4 p.m. on April 23rd, without any authorisation, several police officers from Xinjiang Police Station in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, broke into Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhao Ying's home and arrested her. However, on April 25th, Harbin's The New Evening newspaper twisted the facts in reporting this incident. The headline said, "Using an extension ladder, police got onto a balcony to arrest a thief." The article slandered Ms. Zhao. Ms. Zhao Ying was brutally tortured. As a result, she began to have heart problems and her relatives do not have enough money to pay her hospital expenses. -
Persecution of a Well-Known National Model Worker
2007-05-24Practitioner Mr. Ding Guowang was always a well-known "National Model Worker," but because he refused to renounce his belief in Falun Gong the police arrested and detained him in a forced labour camp. His company fired him for his beliefs. Due to the persecution Mr. Ding suffered, he eventually became paralysed and developed a mental disorder and it became obvious that he couldn't take care of himself anymore. Many of those who know Mr. Ding were heartbroken by his situation. They all said, "Mr. Ding worked like a bull for the CCP. When they needed him the Communists praised and honoured him, but when they didn't need him anymore they nearly tortured him to death." -
Deceased Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Zhang Tiansu Injected with Nerve-Damaging Drugs at Chongzhou City Veterans' Hospital in Sichuan Province
2007-05-24The Chongzhou City Veterans' Hospital in Sichuan Province is also called the Yuantong Mental Hospital. Ms. Zhang Tiansu, a retired teacher, was force-fed nerve-damaging drugs at this hospital in July 2003. The drugs caused memory loss. She had a painful expression on her face and also developed long-term insomnia. Xindu County 610 Office agents sent her and her son-in-law to this mental hospital in late 2002 because she had appealed in Beijing on behalf of Falun Gong three times. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Zhang Bo from Tonghua City, Jilin Province Arrested by Police Again
2007-05-24In the afternoon of April 3rd, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Zhang Bo was fetching her son from kindergarten, along with the six-year-old child of a relative. Suddently, within a few feet of reaching her home, police officers Zhou Fuyou and Tian Kaiyuan--in plainclothes--jumped out of a red taxi and abducted Zhang Bo, forcing her into the taxi. The police searched Zhang Bo's pockets for keys, opened her front front door, and fled after shoving the two children inside. The two children started crying for their mothers, and a kind passer-by brought the children to the nearby Xinzhan Public Security Bureau. However, Zhou Fuyou, Wu Guoqing and four other police officers pushed the children out of the Public Security Bureau and threatened to beat them. -
Elderly Ms. Yang Jusheng Died as the Result of Torture in Baimalong Forced Labour Camp in Hunan Province in 2006
2007-05-2367-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yang Jusheng was forcibly taken to the Baimalong Forced Labour Camp twice. The first time was in 2001-2002, and her original term was one year, but it was extended to two years because Ms. Yang refused to accept brainwashing. Guards encouraged drug-addict prisoners to curse and brutally beat her many times. The second forced labour term was from April 19th, 2004 to March 9th, 2006. Her large intestine became misaligned with her rectum from standing so long and from being beaten. Guards continued to torture her. After returning home, she could not eat anything due to the severe torture in the labour camp. She died in November 2006. -
The Vicious Crimes Committed by Chen Shougang and Luan Jinghe at Mudanjiang Prison in Heilongjiang Province - Part 2
2007-05-23Force-feeding is one of the most merciless and painful tortures afflicted on Falun Gong practitioners, a life-and-death experience for those who are weak from hunger strikes. First, the officials immobilise the practitioners with handcuffs and shackles; then a prison doctor and/or guards violently cram a thick tube down through the nose into the practitioner's stomach. Sometimes the tube enters the trachea and causes a lung infection. They repeatedly pull the tube out and re-insert it and stir it around inside the practitioner's stomach "for fun," severely damaging the nasal cavities and the gastrointestinal tract. Then they pour a mixture of highly concentrated saline solution and corn porridge into the tube, which results in inflammation of the practitioner's stomach. This torture causes tremendous pain and sometimes leads to death. -
State Security Agents Demanded That I Be an Informant
2007-05-23In July 2003, members of the 610 Office talked to me. The main point was to demand that I become an informant and spy by taking pictures and monitoring the activities of Falun Gong in Germany. I kept silent during the talk, thinking that I would not do those things. I booked an airline ticket and left China as soon as I could. On July 27th, 2003, I arrived safely at Berlin, Germany. When I called home to China several days later, the line did not sound right. It was confirmed later that my home phone in China was being monitored. -
The Chinese Communist Regime Plans to Sentence Ms. Hu Yuanzhen from Sichuan Province - Her Two Daughters Appeal for Her Immediate Release
2007-05-23Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Hu Yuanzhen is 64 years old. On March 15th, 2006, while she was informing people about the true nature of Falun Gong along with four other practitioners, more than ten police officers from the National Security Department arrested them. Since the persecution began on July 20th, 1999, Ms. Hu and her family have been subject to constant persecution. Her husband, practitioner Mr. Li Guocai, was sentenced to three years in prison in May 2005 and is in Wumaping Prison. Ms. Hu's 70-year-old sister was also arrested and her husband couldn't handle such tragedy and died on April 22nd, 2007. Hu Yuanzhen's two daughters have appealed to the concerned organisations to demand their mother's immediate release. -
The Brutal Torture of Practitioners in the Harbin Women's Prison in Heilongjiang Province
2007-05-23The guards have selected many notorious criminal inmates to monitor practitioners. Practitioners are also not allowed to make purchases in the prison store; their money are in possession of the monitors. If practitioners do not cooperate they are brutally beaten and verbally abused. The guards do not directly communicate with practitioners, they communicate through the criminal inmates. If the monitors are not monitoring the practitioners, their merit scores are reduced. The inmates therefore beat or abuse practitioners regularly to show that they are "on the job."
