Ms. Song Wenjuan Tortured at Wanjia Forced Labour Camp in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province

Ms. Song Wenjuan was sentenced to forced labour in July 2005 and detained in the Wanjia Forced Labour Camp in Harbin City. There she has been subject to all kinds of persecution. Ms. Song was handcuffed backwards to the bunk twice, with her feet suspended above the ground. The guards secured her onto the "iron chair" with handcuffs and shackles for more than two months. Recently, guard Huo Shuping (female), shocked her with an electric baton. As a result, Ms. Song's face was swollen and distorted, and she became critically ill. -
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Harasses Australian Practitioners' Family Members in China
2007-05-10Police officers and staff of the 610 Office started harassing my family after they learned that my father and I had gone to Australia. They fear that we will expose the CCP's crimes. Every day, they go to my home in China and threaten my mother, saying that if we don't return, my sister's school education will be affected, and my mother will also be implicated. They also told my mother to tell us that if we return, they will not hold us responsible for anything. I know in my heart that this is one of their tactics. If we were to go back to China, my father and I would be tortured physically and mentally, and we would lose our freedom. -
Older Ms. Luu Huiwen from Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province, Sent to a Forced Labour Camp a Second Time
2007-05-09The National Security Division of Yilan County Public Security Bureau, Heilongjiang Province, brutally arrested 55-year-old practitioner Ms. Luu Huiwen two weeks ago and sent her to Harbin City Women's Forced Labour Camp, where she is being tortured. In 2001, she was sentenced to two years in Wanjia Forced Labour Camp. Because she refused to write the "three statements", she was handcuffed behind her back and then hung by the handcuffs with her feet barely touching the ground. She was hung three times in this manner. She was also shocked and beaten with an electric baton and was forced to squat on a small bench while locked up in solitary confinement. -
53-Year-Old Ms. Pu Yingshu Brutally Tortured in Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison
2007-05-09Practitioner Ms. Pu Yingshu, 53, maintains her belief in Falun Gong even though she has been detained in Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison since May 2005, constantly tortured both physically and mentally by the prison guards. After several years of imprisonment and torture, Ms. Pu Yingshu is seriously injured both mentally and physically. Her blood pressure is over 220, half of her body is numb and difficult for her to control, some of her teeth have fallen out, her front teeth now point outward, and her face is swollen. -
Exposing the Persecution Crimes of Jilin City Deputy Mayor Liu Peizhu against Local Practitioners
2007-05-09On August 24th, 2005, National Security Division police officer Di Shigang, together with other officers, arrested Ms. Yang Lijuan for practising Falun Gong. They detained her in a two-story building of the Third Criminal Police Division near Guoyao in Jilin City. They interrogated Ms. Yang in a dark room on the second floor, using various torture methods, including hanging her by her handcuffed wrists, force-feeding her mustard water for more than five hours, tying her to a metal chair, handcuffing her behind her back with one hand over the shoulder and the other hand below, slapping her face, pulling her hair, shocking her with electric batons, and placing sticks across her ankles and stepping on them. She immediately lost consciousness from the beating. Despite the torture, Ms. Yang never gave up her belief in Dafa. -
Mr. Ma Qinghai Subjected to Extensive Torture at Chifeng Prison in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region
2007-05-09On October 31st, 2005, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Ma Qinghai was arrested and sentenced to nine years in prison in Chifeng Prison. Since Mr. Ma has not cooperated with any of the unreasonable requirements of the prison authorities, he has been beaten and tortured for an extensive period of time by guards and prisoners. Mr. Ma Qinghai has twice been tied up for extended periods of time. On one occasion he was bound with ropes for over 30 days. Another time he was tied up during the summer for 55 days. As a result, he can no longer move his arm normally, and he can barely bring food to his mouth. Mr. Ma wrote the "transformation" statement against his will when he reached the limit of torture that he could mentally and physically endure. -
Two Sisters Are Persecuted in Rushan City, Shandong Province
2007-05-09Because of being steadfast in their belief, practitioners Ms. Feng Xilan and her sister, Ms. Feng Xisong, have been persecuted in Rushan City, Shandong Province. Feng Xilan was sentenced to nine years of imprisonment. She was released in early April 2007 when her life was in danger due to torture. Feng Xisong was arrested by the Rushan State Security Group in mid-April and was sentenced of two years in a forced labour camp. -
The Evil Guangzhou City No. 1 Forced Labour Camp in Guangdong Province
2007-05-08The next day I started a hunger strike against their unlawful persecution. At noon on the third day they pulled me out for force-feeding. They used two sets of handcuffs to handcuff each of my hands on a long bench. They deliberately pulled the handcuffs very tight, making them cut into my flesh. I was in such excruciating pain that my whole body trembled. Five of them sprang on me and tied me up. First, they used cotton strips to tie up my arms. Then they twisted my arms to the back. Two of the monitors used all their strength to pull my arms to make them come close together. Then they tied my arms together in the back. They also tied up my legs and forced my legs into the lotus position (both feet on top of the thighs). My arms had very deep wounds, as did my back. I could not move nor raise my hands -- they simply hung down. -
Practitioner Mr. Wu Lei from Shijiazhuang City Arrested and Detained in Connection with the Trial of Wang Bo and Her Parents
2007-05-08An unjust trial of Wang Bo and her parents took place at the Shijiazhuang City Intermediate Court on April 27th, 2007. The court stipulated that anyone could apply and receive an audit permit with an ID and a residence permit. Following the official requirements, 27 people including some Falun Gong practitioners obtained audit permits. However, the Communist Party agents refused to let any Falun Gong practitioners audit the trial. The court officials and 610 Office agents monitored and arrested practitioners who tried to enter the courthouse. Practitioner Mr. Wu Lei is in his 20s. Officials from the National Security Division at the Shijiazhuang City Police Department arrested him for taking photographs. -
Baimalong Women's Forced Labour Camp in Hunan Province Colludes with the 610 Office to Arrest Practitioner's Visiting Family Members
2007-05-08Ms. Zhu Guilin, 43, has been detained in Baimalong Forced Labour Camp since 2004 and has suffered brutal torture. She has now served her so-called "forced labour term" but the labour camp still refuses to release her. Prisoners often beat Zhu Guilin. In July 2005, because she didn't stand up to do the morning calisthenics, the prisoners dragged her out and beat and verbally abused her, right in front of the guards. Another time she was beaten until she lost consciousness. On April 9th, when her family visited her, they saw that she was covered with wounds everywhere, on her face, her head, elbows, knees, legs, and so on. There were three burns on her hands. Several places on her body had festered. -
Shackled to an Iron Chair for Fifty Days at Panjin Prison in Liaoning Province
2007-05-08On August 18th, 2006, I was transferred from Wafangdian Prison to Panjin Prison. After August 20th, I was shackled to an "iron chair" and force-fed twenty-four hours a day. The iron chair is made of thin, irregularly-shaped steel bars that are welded onto a steel plate. One's chest and thighs are bound by two pieces of eight-centimetre-wide steel scrap, and the hands are cuffed onto the chair. In addition, one's feet are locked up by two steel bars that are connected. There are a total of five locks. Only one's head can move. One sits on three steel bars. In fact, sitting on the "chair" means sitting on three steel bars. As a result, one's buttocks will be torn very soon; one's neck, lumbar and coccygeal vertebrae will be injured to different degrees. -
Practitioner Mr. Jiang Anming's Health Rapidly Deteriorating After Being Abused in the Yubei Detention Centre in Chongqing City
2007-05-08On April 10th, 2007, 69-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Jiang Anming was arrested for informing people about the persecution of Falun Gong and dispelling the state propaganda attacking the practice. He is being detained in the Yubei Detention Centre, Chongqing City. Due to the mistreatment by police and guards, his health is rapidly deteriorating and his situation is urgent. Mr. Jiang has been affected by high blood pressure, headaches, tightness in the chest, and loss of control of his bodily functions. With instructions from the guards, the inmates did not allow him to urinate, which has resulted in the rapid deterioration of his health. -
Accounts of Brutal Persecution of Practitioners in Yishui County, Shandong Province
2007-05-07In the autumn of 1999, Wang Fuwen and He Fengjun arrested Ms. Wang Yuzhi and took her from her home to the Yishandian courtyard and detained her in a darkened room. She was pregnant at the time. Two people beat her to the ground. They kicked her from her head to her buttocks. This lasted three to four hours, until she could not stand up. However, they forced her to stand up and then to remain in a squatting position. They made her stretch her arms out straight and put several heavy steel bars on top of them. Then they brutally beat her until she could no longer see. Her whole body was black and blue and swollen, and she was unable to move. They didn't stop beating her for 24 hours. They also extorted 3,000 yuan from her mother. -
Ms. Su Xiying from Chongqing City Died as a Result of Persecution
2007-05-07During her four-year term in the Chongqing City Women's Prison, Ms. Su Xiying, 53, was tortured physically and mentally. Ms. Su refused to recite the prison regulations, and she was often verbally abused and cruelly beaten by the guards and prisoners. She was forced to do overtime heavy labour, from 7:00 a.m. to midnight every day. She was then forced to stand for two hours after midnight while being subjected to brainwashing sessions. Su Xiying was inhumanly tortured like this for more than a whole year. During this time, she slept less than 4 hours per day because she had to get up at 6:00 a.m., labour until midnight, and then suffer brainwashing attempts for two hours while being forced to stand. Ms. Su had been very healthy, but she was tortured to the extent that her lower spine became severely misaligned. She could not walk, and she died on April 18th, 2007. -
Corrupt Daqing City in Heilongjiang Province Police Conduct Mass Arrests Before Holidays
2007-05-07From April 21st through 26th, 2007, Daqing police shamelessly arrested practitioners in broad daylight. The Daqing Police force is in reality a criminal organisation and the public is quite aware of this. They collude with gangs and traffic in drugs, guns, ammunition and counterfeit money. They also opened bordellos, secretly support prostitutes, roam the streets, and commit crimes. They are the reason for social instability, and are a disruptive force in people's lives. When arresting practitioners, they disregard procedures, do not explain anything, or identify themselves. After practitioners were arrested, a policeman said, "If you give me 20 thousand yuan, I will set you free tonight. Or, you could give me a second-hand car instead."
