Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhang Lianying Secretly Transferred; Family Denied Visits

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Lianying was tortured until she suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. According to witnesses, Zhang Lianying suffered severe brain damage from beatings. She was a transferred from Renhe Hospital to the Tiantanghe Forced Labour Camp Hospital last Friday, on March 30th, 2007, when she was still in critical condition. The labour camp first tried to conceal the facts and lied to her family about her whereabouts. Three days later, her husband Niu Jinping went to Renhe Hospital and learned the truth. -
Belated News: Non-Practitioner Mr. Li Weiji Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison for Helping to Rescue Persecuted Falun Dafa Practitioners

I met Li Weiji in late August 2002 in China. He told me that his sister, Li Weixun, was severely persecuted for practising Falun Gong. He decided to return to China and rescue Dafa practitioners who, like his sister, were being persecuted. With help from two other practitioners, Li Weiji collected persecution evidence. He took me and another practitioner (whose lower spine was broken from a police beating) to the home of his wife's sister so we could write our persecution experiences. I was truly moved by his sacrificing everything in an effort to rescue practitioners. His wife's sister and her husband were later persecuted for keeping us at their home. I heard that Li Weiji was injured in a beating and was sentenced to eight years in prison. -
Liangshanzhou National Security Bureau Agents (Sichuan Province) Carry Out the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) Persecution from Behind the Scenes
2007-04-11Officials from the Liangshanzhou National Security Bureau (NSB) posted several propaganda pictures in Yuecheng Square, Xichang City, Sichuan Province around March 18th, 2007. The posters advocate so-called national security laws. They included some slanderous content against Falun Gong such as falsely claiming that Falun Gong practitioners receive funding and equipment from foreign governments, and they claimed practitioners are monitoring the police through mobile phones and landlines. This is an effort to incite hatred among the local people toward Falung Gong practitioners. -
Practitioner Mr. Wang Weidong From Jilin Province Passed Away After Being Disabled From Torture at the Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp

Because Mr Wang Weidong went to appeal for Falun Dafa he was ruthlessly persecuted. he was sentenced to two years of forced labour and tortured until his face deformed, his abdomen and face were both severely swollen, and fluid dripped from his hands and feet. Wang Weidong went home in 2002 in a severely disabled state but never recovered. He could not walk, and his entire body was numb and swollen. Wang Weidong passed away on February 17th, 2007. -
Practitioner Professor Wang Guilan Further Persecuted by the Police and Hebei Medical University
2007-04-10Since Jiang Zemin's regime began persecuting Falun Gong in 1999, Hebei Medical University has deprived Professor Wang Guilan of her right to give lectures, due to the fact that she persists in cultivation. She could only work as a teaching assistant, and her salary was reduced by two classes. From January 2000 to April 2002, salary from 17 months, totalling 85 thousand yuan, was withheld from Ms. Wang. This money has still not been returned. On January 21st, 2007, because she was informing people about the true nature of Falun Gong and the persecution, she was arrested and her workplace withheld two thousand yuan from her monthly salary. -
Exposing the Corrupt Behaviour of Labour Camp Official Zhang Bo in Qianjin Forced Labour Camp in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province
2007-04-10Zhang Bo (female), former head of No. 7 Division in the Wanjia Forced Labour Camp, was transferred to the Harbin Qianjin Forced Labour Camp as head of the No. 1 Division on January 25th, 2007. For power and money, Zhang Bo unscrupulously deceives her superiors and deludes subordinates to obtain the trust of upper level leaders and to extort benefits from inmates. Her main tactics are to extend working hours, increase workloads and falsify accounting statements to make profits. In addition to her wages, her extra income in 2006 alone amounted to several hundred thousand yuan. -
Recent Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners at Masanjia Women's Forced Labour Camp in Liaoning Province
2007-04-10On January 30th, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Lirong was locked in the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp workshop by guard Pei Feng and a team leader for refusing to recite the 30 disciplinary rules that criminals were forced to recite. Later, Political Instructor Ren Huaiping from the Second Division and the administration leader of the division Wang Shuzheng, locked her in an empty room and inserted high voltage electric batons into her underwear. They beat her breasts and chest, brutally torturing her. -
Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp of Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province Mistreats Falun Dafa Practitioners
2007-04-10Practitioner Mr. Xu Qingshen was arrested on August 23rd, 2005, and sentenced to forced labour for two and a half years. He is detained in the Fourth Ward of the Changlinzi Labour Camp. He was forced to do exhausting physical labour such as picking up and moving food signs. Later he was forced to undergo blood tests. The nurse injected him with poisonous drugs. As a result, he is currently disabled and cannot take care of himself. The food in Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp is worse than pigs' food. The cooked food doesn't contain any sort of oil, and the rice is half-cooked. -
Lawyers for Falun Gong Practitioners Wang Bo and Her Parents Have Requested an Open Retrial
2007-04-09Falun Gong practitioners Wang Bo and her parents who live in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, were secretly sentenced to jail terms in November 2006. Because the Communist authorities did not inform their family members about their arrest and trial, they had no lawyers to defend them. Recently, the family managed to hire lawyers who jointly requested the Shijiazhuang Intermediate Court to process the appeal openly and overturn the unlawful sentences passed in the initial trial. -
Gansu Province: More Information about the Arrest of Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Mao Wei
2007-04-09On March 13th, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Mao Wei, an engineer at the Nickel and Cobalt Research Institute, took some photos of the Binhelu Police Station building in Jinchang City. The police there discovered and arrested him. In the evening, police officers went to Mr. Mao Wei’s house to harass his family. They searched their home and confiscated a computer. They also went to the home of Mr. Mao’s parents and searched their home. His mother was so shocked by the abrupt intrusion that she fainted. The policemen tortured Mao Wei at the police station. Long-term handcuff abuse turned his hands purple. His face was badly disfigured due to the torture. Then was sent to the Jinchang City Detention Centre on March 15th, 2007. -
Mother and Son Persecuted for Practising Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance
2007-04-09Ms. Ouyang Wen is a 60-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner and a resident of Yueyang City, Hunan Province. On February 11th, 2007, policemen arrested her at her daughter's home in Changsha City. The police also searched her home in Yuyang City without a warrant and stole her private possessions, which were in total worth thousands of yuan. She is detained in the Yueyang City First Detention Centre. In 1999, her son was sentenced to seven years of imprisonment for insisting on practising Falun Gong. -
Ms. Tian Tao, an Elementary School Teacher in Shanghai, Demoted to Cleaning Toilets
2007-04-09Practitioner Ms. Tian Tao was a teacher at Hongqiao Central Elementary School in Shanghai. She has persevered in practising Falun Dafa and has upheld her belief in “Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance.” As a result, Ni Yingdong, the school's Party secretary; Tang Xiao'an, the school principal; and other officials stripped her of her teaching position and assigned her to clean toilets. Ms. Tian can hardly keep up with this extra load of physical work. Wang Huimin keeps a close eye on her and finds fault with her for no reason. -
Mr. Li Qingbo, a Practitioner from Wuhan City, Hubei Province, Detained Soon After Being Released from Three Years of Forced Labour
2007-04-0844-year-old Mr. Li Qingbo was sentenced to three years of forced labour and detained in the Shenzhen City Second Labour Camp. Right after he was released on January 31st, 2007, officials from the Jiangan District 610 Office of Wuhan City arrested him and secretly escorted him back to Wuhan City. Currently, Mr. Qingbo is detained in the Chenjiaji Brainwashing Centre. During the past seven years, Mr. Qingbo has been sentenced to forced labour twice and has been detained for more than four years. -
The Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Zhao Huanzhen from Shanhaiguan City, Hebei Province
2007-04-08In December 2002, Zhao Huanzhen went to Beijing to appeal. After he was taken back by police and he was detained in the Shanhaiguan Detention Centre. Policeman Zhao Peng conducted eight hours of brutal, torturous interrogation, repeatedly slapping the practitioner's face so violently that his mouth filled with blood. The policemen cursed him constantly. When the food came, Zhao Peng kicked over the dish, forbidding the practitioner to eat. Furthermore, after they untied the rope, Zhao Peng braided the rope into several strands and ruthlessly slapped his forehead with it, making Zhao Huanzhen disoriented. He had not recovered even after two weeks passed. He was repeatedly tortured later. -
Older Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Li Fubin from Gansu Province Unable to Walk Due to Torture at Lanzhou Prison
2007-04-08Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Fubin, 58 was persecuted so severely in the Lanzhou Prison that his previous illness of high blood pressure, cardiac disease, and enlargement of the veins recurred. His legs were swollen to the point where he could not walk. The guards refused to give him medical treatment inside or outside of prison.
