Serious Crimes Committed at Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province

One day guard Zhao Shuang started brutally beating practitioner Mr. Sun Hongda for his "wrong eye expression." Guard Wang Fuhai viciously shocked Sun Hongda on his head, mouth, back of his head, face, and neck, which badly burned Mr. Sun's tongue, and he had difficulty eating for several months. While Sun Hongda was held on the ground by five or six prisoners, guard Zhao Shuang rode on the top of Sun and tortured him, pushing and pulling him. This made Sun Hongda suffer extreme pain in all his joints, and he had difficulty moving around for several days. The deputy head of the labour camp witnessed the torture but walked away as if nothing had happened. Zhao Shuang also brutally slapped Sun Hongda's face, which caused Sun to lose hearing in his left ear for several days. -
Details of Four Falun Dafa Practitioners from Chongqing City, Hunan Province, and Liaoning Province Who Have Been Missing for Many Years
2007-02-04Mr. Chen Chunxian is over 40 years old. He is from Yueyang City, Hunan Province. Mr. Chen started practising Falun Dafa when he was in the army. After he returned home from the army, he opened up a medical clinic. Between July 20th, 1999, when the persecution began, and 2000, Mr. Chen went to Beijing three times to appeal for Falun Dafa. The first time, he was arrested and taken back to his hometown by the police. The second time, he was beaten so badly that his head bled profusely, and had to be wrapped in bandages. The third time, he never returned. His whereabouts remain unknown. -
The Truth Behind the Pretty Gift Boxes
2007-02-04One of my friends has been held at Shijiazhuang City Forced Labour Camp merely because of his belief in Falun Dafa and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The forced labour camp holds over twenty Falun Dafa practitioners. The guards force them to work intensively. They have to work about 13-14 hours per day, and then work overtime to earn money for the guards. The most frequent work is to process various boxes, cartons and containers, including the containers for the "Five-Ram Cake," gift boxes for the Jinyuan Hotel, gift boxes for the Hebei Hotel, sacks for "Three Deer Milk," napkins for "Five Grains Ritual Field," containers for "Huiyuan Juice," carry-out boxes, cartons for the drugs from Huabei Pharmaceutics and Shenwei Pharmacy, and lids for some oral medicines, etc. -
Ms. Cui Hongyan from Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province on a Hunger Strike for One Month; She Is Now Too Weak to Move
2007-02-03Falun Dafa practitioner was arrested on November 1st, 2006 and taken to the Daqing City Detention Centre where she has been held for nearly three months. Saertu District Court sentenced Cui Hongyan to three years in prison. Ms. Cui appealed the verdict and went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. The hunger strike has lasted one month. Wrapped in a quilt, she is carried back and forth twice a day at the detention centre for nasal force-feeding. She now suffers from stomachaches, and there are traces of blood in her vomit. Her eyes are bloodshot. She is skin and bones and she is too weak to move by herself. -
Ms. Wang Yuhong Has Been Persecuted by Jiamusi City Forced Labour Camp in Heilongjiang Province for Six Years
2007-02-03The forced labour camps use many persecution methods. The rooms are shared by four or five people and are very unpleasant. Only half of a wooden scoop of water is provided every morning. The toilet is inside the room and has no cover. The windows are kept shut even in the warm weather. The smell inside the rooms is terrible, and there is not enough oxygen. Everyday, some practitioner got fastened to the bedside, window, or metal chairs because she was caught doing the Falun Gong exercises. At the beginning, violence was used to make practitioners give up their beliefs. Later, they attempted to trick and deceive practitioners to achieve their purpose. -
Guangdong Provincial Women's Prison Refuses to Provide Medical Attention for Practitioner Physician Suffering from a Stroke
2007-02-03Falun Dafa practitioner and physician Ms. Fan Zhijun was persecuted while suffering from a stroke at the Guangdong Provincial Women's Prison. Sources say that the prison sent a notice to the family in January 2007 stating that her high blood pressure was at "the third level" and that she was suffering from a stroke. One of Ms. Fan's family members visited her at the prison. Ms. Fan is only 54 years old but she had to walk with a cane. She also had difficulty moving herself and did not have clear consciousness. Upon seeing this, the family member pressed strongly for the prison to release her immediately. However, the guard said that Ms. Fan did not meet the criteria of sickness needed for release. -
Four Practitioners from Jilin, Liaoning, and Henan Provinces Die after Suffering Continued Persecution
2007-02-03Mr. Dai was 57 years old. He was very healthy after beginning Falun Dafa practice in 1994. In early June 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal to higher authorities for justice for Falun Dafa. Some malicious Chinese Communism Party members detained him twice and then sentenced him to the Tonghua Forced Labour Camp for one year. By the time his family got him out on parole, his blood pressure was very high due to the mistreatment. In 2002, police arrested him and sentenced him to two years imprisonment at Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp in Changchun City. There he became very weak from the brutal torture, and by the time his family got him out again on parole he was covered with cuts and bruises. Afterwards, he was hospitalised several times and died on December 30th, 2006. -
Former Lieutenant Colonel of the Armed Forces in Qingdao City, Shandong Province Detained in a Mental Hospital for the Third Time
2007-02-03Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Deyao was once a lieutenant colonel in the armed forces in Qingdao City. Because he persists in his belief in Falun Gong, he has suffered mistreatment many times, resulting in a mental collapse. Mr. Zhang is currently imprisoned at the Mental Hospital of Qingdao City. This is the third time he has been sent to a mental hospital as a result of this persecution. -
Exposing Crimes Committed by Officials at Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp in Heilongjiang Province
2007-02-02On March 15th, 2004, more than ten Falun Gong practitioners were tortured in Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp. The Camp education office head tried to coerce the practitioners to write the three statements renouncing Falun Gong. After the practitioners refused, guards ordered inmates to torture them. The inmates immersed the practitioners in ice-cold water for a long time, forced them to squat on and between two stools, and pummelled and kicked them brutally when the stools shook. -
Women Practitioners are Poorly Fed, Brainwashed and Cruelly Tortured in Wanjia Forced Labour Camp, Heilongjiang Province
2007-02-02Practitioners held in the 7th and 12th groups were overloaded with labour every day. They were forced to make paper bags for packaging rice and paper and boxes for ice cream. The labour camp set a quota of 400 rice bags or 400 ice cream wrappers for people older than 55 and 500 rice bags or 450 ice cream wrappers for those younger than 55. After they got up at 4:30 in the morning, they were first forced to recite the prison rules. Then they worked from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with only three meals for breaks. They were forced to work for more than 13 hours each day except for the 10-minute break for each meal. Their backs ached and their hands became numb due to the long hours of tedious labour. -
The Persecution of Practitioners in Maoming City, Guangdong Province
2007-02-02Ms. Lin Yanmei, a practitioner was arrested in October 2004 by police from the local 610 Office and National Security Group without any warrant. They did not inform her family afterwards. Ms. Lin was transferred to Guangdong Provincial Sanshui Women's Forced Labour Camp and on the same day was sentenced two years of forced labour. In order to press her to give up her belief, the forced labour camp has tortured her in many ways and added drugs to her food to destroy her central nervous system, which has caused her to have a mental disorder. Her family went to the local police department and the 610 Office to ask for her release but never got a response. -
Ms. Lin Lixia from Hong Kong Arrested in Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province
2007-02-02On September 24th, 2006, Ms. Lin Lixia, a Hong Kong resident, was arrested along with several other practitioners. Because of rescue efforts by fellow practitioners, and due to reports that exposed her arrest on the Internet, police called Ms. Lin's husband to come and get her from the police station. Without Ms. Lin's knowledge, her husband was forced to sign a guarantee statement stating that she would not leave the local area within a one year period. She was constantly harassed by police. On January 18th, 2007, she was coerced into going downstairs at home, after which she went missing for a period of time. Her husband finally discovered that she is being detained in the Futian District Detention Centre, where she is facing trial. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Shi Ning from Shandong Province in Critical Condition From Torture
2007-02-02Ms. Shi Ning was taken to the Shandong Province No.1 Female Forced Labour Camp, where she suffered inhuman torture. Two male guards shocked her with high voltage electric batons. Two of them sat on a bed and Ms. Shi sat on the ground facing away from the guards. Each of them held an electric baton against her back and shocked her. Later a group of vicious people surrounded her and beat her for three days around the clock. -
Mr. Guan Mingde from Changchun City, Jilin Province, Died of Injury at Hands of Police in 2001
2007-02-01In 2000, Mr. Guan Mingde, went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. He unfurled a banner that said, "Falun Dafa is good" on Tiananmen Square. He was arrested right away. While detained, Mr. Guan refused to report the name of his employer. He was heinously beaten and tortured. There was a large crack on his head and his flesh was split apart, exposing his skull. Within eight or nine days, he was dying. With thirteen stitches in his head, Mr. Guan could not eat or drink any water. He was severely swollen and lived by intravenous injections. He was also suffering from a mental breakdown. Mr. Guan, aged 38, died in February 2001, as a result of his injuries. -
Ms. Zhang Jian from Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province Died at 58 as a Result of Persecution (Photo)
2007-02-01After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) initiated its persecution of Falun Gong on July 20th, 1999, Ms. Zhang Jian went to Beijing to appeal. She was sentenced to one year of forced labour in the Wanjia Forced Labour Camp, where she endured cruel torture. She was deprived of sleep, kicked and punched, and tied onto an "iron chair" for eight days. When she was released, she continued to be harassed at her home by the police. Unfortunately, on June 27th, 2006, she suddenly fell ill and died the same day. Ms. Zhang was 58 years old.
