Seventeen Year Old Girl Thrown into Masanjia Forced Labour Camp: Family Devastated by Persecution

Cheng Ling, aged 20, from Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province, was illegally sentenced to seven years in prison just for preparing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. In 2001 when she was only 17 years old, Cheng Ling was thrown into Masanjia Forced Labour Camp for two years. Cheng Ling's mother and elder sister were also sent to this same camp to be persecuted. Her mother is still in detention there. Her father was also detained illegally many times...Cheng Guanghui's son was just 13 years old in 1999. He was a terrified witness to the arrest of all his family members, leaving no one to take care of him. He was emotionally devastated. -
Heilongjiang Province: "610 Office" Responds Viciously to Truth-Clarifying TV Broadcast in Nahe City
2003-12-10On October 26, some facts about Dafa were broadcast on TV in Nahe City, Heilongjiang Province. After this happened, the "610 Office" sent a special group to Nahe City to deal with the case. The provincial police department also sent persons to Nahe City, as well as to Molidawa Banner of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and other nearby counties. According to sources within China, Luo Gan (a member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Central Committee who follows Jiang Zemin closely in persecuting Dafa), and Li Changchun also gave "written instructions."...During that period, a female practitioner from Suiling County of Heilongjiang Province took a copy of "Zhuan Falun" [the main text in Falun Dafa] with her and brought her baby to Nahe for a visit. She was arrested, and her innocent baby was sent to the Welfare Centre of Nahe City. Her situation is now unknown. -
The Brutal Tactics Used by the Wanjia Forced Labour Camp Prison Guards to Torture Falun Dafa Practitioners
2003-12-10Practitioners have to endure forced hard labour beyond the tolerable limit. The major task is to fabricate and sew car seat cushions, which makes the practitioners' hands swollen. Another task is to stick eyelashes onto dolls. Each person is assigned 13 dolls a day. Several hundred eyelashes have to be stuck to each doll, one by one, with tweezers. This task gives practitioners headaches and causes eyestrain. Another task is to repair cloth, batches of defective linen, by mending. Each person is assigned 40 metres of linen cloth, and the repairs must be completed before sleeping. Sometimes one has to work until 11:00 p.m. to complete the job. They must get up at 5:00 a.m. each morning, and only 10 minutes are allowed for each meal. The rest of the day is spent working. Prison police Zhang Po said they have to make a 200,000 Yuan profit. -
Heilongjiang Province: Chinese Citizens Call the State Security Bureau in Daqing City "Shameless"
2003-12-10Around 5:00 a.m. on September 6, 2002, the Head of the State Security Bureau in Daqing City, Mr. Lin Shaojun, led a large squad of police officers to the outside of the apartment building where Dafa practitioners Mr. and Mrs. Guan Zhaoqi resided, attempting to abduct them from their home. Mr. Guan Zhaoqi refused to open the door of the apartment building, so Lin Shaojun called to Mr. Guan from the ground floor, "Open the door. We did not come to arrest you. We noticed that there was a water leak from the roof, so we want to help you repair the roof." Upon hearing such a ridiculous lie, many residents in the apartment building began to reproach Mr. Lin out loud, "Trust an idiot to run the State Security Bureau! It's nobody's business whether we need to repair our roof!" -

Many of these practitioners had remained in Beijing for a long time, waiting for a chance to appeal and say that Falun Dafa is good. Most of them had lost everything and they even had a hard time supporting themselves, but a glow of purity and harmony surrounded them. This moved my heart. -
Guangdong Province: Guards Dislocate Dafa Practitioner's Shoulder in Sanshui Labour Camp
2003-12-09For fear of their evil deeds being exposed, the police subsequently transferred Huang Zhufeng to the Foshan Chinese Medical Hospital, where he currently is housed in room 404, building A of the Hospital of Orthopedics, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City. However, he is not receiving any effective medical treatment but merely being guarded by six policemen taking turns. His family has never been informed of his condition. Even on August 2, when his illegal term was up, he still was not released to his family. Later, Sanshui Labor Camp sent a vehicle to take his family members to Guangzhou City to see him, lying to them that Huang Zhufeng had his hands injured because he was inattentive and failed to follow instructions. -
Violence, Forced Labour and Deception in the First Women's Labour Camp of Shandong Province
2003-12-09Every day, Falun Dafa practitioners were forced to work in the workshop or in their cells. The most frequent type of work supplied by the labour camp was to make ribbons for some factory in Changyi City, Shandong province, Christmas gifts for the Jinan City Arts and Crafts Factory; medicinal packages for the Jinan Donggang Printing Plant; pencils and coloured pens for the Jinan Youai Pen Factory, vases for an undetermined factory, as well as quilts for export. The labour camp took advantage of this type of slave labour to accumulate huge amounts of money. Not only did the guards get a very generous bonus and benefits, but a five-story, fully-equipped and decorated building was constructed between the beginning of 2000 and autumn of 2001, when the most Falun Gong practitioners were detained in the labour camp. The work generated for the imprisoned practitioners detained is endless. -
In Memory of a Panjing Dafa Practitioner--Mr. Liu Dejun
2003-12-09I heard that Mr. Liu had been shot by the police at his home. They abducted him and sentenced him to three years of forced labour on May 25. A month later, on June 25, I heard that Mr. Liu staged a hunger strike in order to resist the persecution and his life was in danger. I was informed on July 16 that Mr. Liu had left this world on July 11. It had only been 41 days since Mr. Liu was abducted. In these 41 dark days and nights, how much had he suffered in that bloody persecution? Thus far, we still do not know. -
What Was Seen and Heard in the First Labour Camp of Hebei Province
2003-12-09The labour camp head and police claimed that they were going to construct more buildings. They also said that in different parts of China, all places for incarceration, such as labour camps and prisons, are expanding and more new ones are being built. They boasted of "catching all the Falun Gong practitioners and totally eliminating Falun Gong.". ...Some practitioners had been on a hunger strike for a long time. The authorities came into their room several times a day to force-feed them. Policewoman Zhang kept saying, "This is fun!" while she was brutally force-feeding Dafa practitioners. She claimed that she wanted to have fun force- feeding Dafa practitioners. Later, after she had done it many times, she said she did not have fun doing force-feeding anymore; she was tired of it. -
Shandong Province: 23 Year Old Shandong University Student Killed by Police
2003-12-08A 23-year-old university student was tortured to death like this. The police department tightly blocked the news. Later on, a relative of Zhang Zhenzhong saw a piece of news in a newspaper in Beijing, "A tourist drowned after falling into a river in Tongyin county, Henan province." When he saw the picture, he recognised the person and realized it was Zhang Zhenzhong. In this way, the police covered up the truth and tried to avoid taking responsibility. Zhang Zhenzhong's father could not believe it was true. When he went to the Tangyin Detention Centre to ask for his son, the police did not dare to admit what had happened. In order to get justice for his son, Zhang's father brought the case to the court in Tangyin County. However, the judge said, "We know that Falun Gong is innocent, yet who can make a ruling on this case since it was a result of Jiang Zemin's orders?" -
Jilin Province: Jiutai City Court Puts on a Cultural Revolution Style Show Trial
2003-12-08A few days before this secret trial, these thirteen Dafa practitioners, who had been kept in the Jiutai City Detention Centre for a long period of time, each suffered severe beatings. The beatings injured the practitioners in various ways: Mr. Shi Wenzhuo has bruises all over his body; Ms. Liu Yamin suffered broken teeth; Ms. Han Xiaolian's eyes were swollen shut and she could not see. The police handcuffed these thirteen behind their back, tied ropes around their necks and secretly brought them to court. In court, the police did not allow the practitioners to speak up for themselves. They would tighten the rope when anyone spoke, so the practitioner was choked and could not utter a word. -
Guizhou Province: Twelve Guiyang Dafa Practitioners Brought to Court Again for Broadcasting Falun Dafa Truth-Clarification Videos on Chinese TV
2003-12-08On August 22, 2003, the Yudang District Court in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province held an unlawful trial at a remote location in Wudang District against twelve Dafa practitioners. The Yudang District Court denied Dafa practitioners the right to have a defence lawyer and adjudicators. They did not notify any of the families with regard to the court date and location. In just one day Yudang District Court sentenced the twelve Dafa practitioners to different prison terms, with the maximum length of 16 years. During the sham trial, the judge did not even allow the twelve Dafa practitioners to defend themselves. -
Heilongjiang Province: Complete Denial Of Dafa Practitioners Human Rights
2003-12-08Mr. Zhang Xingye is a former Oil Extraction Plant employee. Because of his belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" and striving to be a good person, he was forced to retire earlier than expected. He was abducted by personnel from the Plant and the Sa District's Yongjun Police Station, Daqing City. On November 15, 2002, the Honggang District Court secretly and illegally sentenced him. The Court could not show any criminal activity on the part of Mr. Zhang and did not follow any legal procedure. Conforming to the provincial regulations on Falun Gong, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison. The court staff could not help telling practitioners, "We don't want to do this. Your case was already decided by the provincial authorities." Zhang Xingye was thus illegally imprisoned in Daqing City Prison. -
Hubei Province:The Criminal Acts of Torture Committed against Dafa Practitioners at Police Station in Shiyan City
2003-12-07His body was so deformed from the tortures that he no longer resembled a human being. Because the policemen could not find any criminal evidence against the man to justify their cruelty, they started fearing for the potential legal consequences of murder. Out of cowardice, the policemen took the man to a hospital in Sanyan for resuscitation and medical treatment. To conceal their crimes, the head of the Renmin Road Police Station warned his subordinate officers before they headed for the hospital, "When the doctors ask you the cause of his injury, you must reply that the injuries were caused by two bandits, who robbed the man's wallet and beat him. If you give them the wrong answer, you will pay for the consequence with your life." So the head of Renmin Road Police Station and two police officers took the man to Taihe Hospital in Sanyan. The doctors and nurses were shocked to see the man's severe injuries. They demanded, "Who has done this to you? Do these criminals have any humanity left in them?" -
Appalling New Details Regarding the Death of Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhao Chunying
2003-12-07The Jixi Procuratorate carried out the first of two autopsies on the remains of Ms. Zhao Chunying. They found a large knife wound on her head. They also found four broken ribs and many black and purple bruises that they concluded were the results of a violent beating. According to their findings the beating also caused considerable internal bleeding with blood flowing out of her mouth. On November 15, 2003, the Heilongjiang Judicature Appraisal Committee carried out the second autopsy. They found not only broken ribs, but also a fractured skull. Even more appalling, they found that her heart, spleen, pancreas and other internal organs were missing and could not be accounted for. At present, Zhao Chunying's family members are suing the murderers.
