  • Germany: The Divine Performing Arts European Tour China’s Traditional Culture

    The Divine Performing Arts (DPA) troupe began its European tour in Frankfurt and the Jahrhunderthalle was packed with people. The CCP’s interruption to DPA shows encouraged more people to see the shows. Some audience members said that right after they saw news about the CCP suppressing the DPA's show, they decided to see it.

    “Because what they (artists from Divine Performing Arts) represent is compassion with a just state of mind. In this persecution, all means the Chinese (the Chinese Communist Party) government use are inhuman indeed. And who it is ill-treating are a group of very kind people. I think that all those who have conscience have felt the power of compassion from these performances and can realize the evilness of the persecution by the CCP.“
  • Germany: "We shall certainly go and see the show"

    From February 13th-19th 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Europe held a series of activities near the city centre in Frankfurt and in front of the CCP Consulate disclosing how the CCP violates human rights. In particular, the CCP disrupts the performances in Germany given by Divine Performing Arts.
  • Finland: A Voice For Justice in the Cold Winter

    On February 14, 2009, volunteers from the Northern European Quitting the Party Service Centre and some Finnish Falun Gong practitioners came to the central railway station in Helsinki to support the 50 million Chinese people that have withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party. They also called for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong.
  • European VIPs Strongly Recommend: Go to See Divine Performing Arts

    On February 9th 2009, the vice president of the European Parliament hosted a reception in the European Parliament to welcome the Divine Performing Arts European Tour. At the reception, many European VIPs said that they saw the performance last year and were deeply impressed. They strongly recommended people to see the show.
  • Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners in Germany Demand that the Chinese Communist Party Stop Interfering with Divine Performing Arts

    Falun Gong practitioners held an activity in Frankfurt exposing how the CCP Embassy interfered with the Divine Performing Arts Company's performances in Germany. Many people were so disgusted and angry with the conduct of the CCP that they bought tickets from the booking office nearby immediately.
  • European Parliament Welcomes Divine Performing Arts to Europe

    The Chairman of the European Parliament wrote in his welcome letter to the DPA that, “The Divine Performing Arts, aiming at bringing China’s 5000 years of traditional culture to the world, makes an enormous contribution to cultural exchange, enabling the rest of the world get a better understanding of Chinese culture”.
  • Ukraine: Media Report “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance” Art Exhibition

    On January 12th, 2009, practitioners in the city of Kyyiv in Ukraine held a “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance” Painting Exhibition. The exhibition attracted attention from local Ukrainian media. According to the report, if these paintings were publicly displayed in mainland China, the painters risked being killed. The exhibition, however, has been successfully held in some 40 countries and 200 venues. The 22 paintings tell the stories of Falun Gong practitioners who follow the principles of “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance”.
  • Switzerland: Beijing Tour Guide Commits Criminal Assault

    About 1:30pm on February 1st 2009, a Beijing tour guide assaulted a Falun Gong practitioner in the renowned tourist site Luzern. The perpetrator is named Cao Zhangjie from Beijing who currently holds a Chinese passport.
  • United Kingdom: Wen Jiabao Makes a Speech at Cambridge University

    On February 2nd, 2009, according to schedule, the premier of China, Wen Jiabao made a speech at Cambridge university. Two hours before Wen Jiabao arrived, the Cambridge University Amnesty International group and those from Cambridge University who pay close attention to human rights in China had already arrived at the speech site, and they held a protest, demanding respect for human rights. Cambridge Falun Gong practitioners were also present.
  • Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Rally to Expose the Chinese Communist Party’s Persecution

    On the end of January, Falun Gong practitioners rallied in Frankfurt. They demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises together and protested against the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s persecution of human rights. One after another, local people expressed their support for for an immediate end to the persecution.
  • Switzerland: "Although far away from China, we should also help to stop the persecution"

    During the World Economic Forum on January 28th and 29th, 2009, Davos in Switzerland became the focus of the world media. Falun Gong practitioners came here again to tell people the ongoing bloody persecution against Falun Gong in China. They displayed photos exposing the Chinese Communist regime’s torture of Falun Gong practitioners.
  • Turkey: The Art of Truth, Compassion and Tolerance Draws Attention from the Media

    From January 10th - 22nd, 2009, an exhibition entitled the Art of Truth, Compassion and Tolerance was held in Mersin, a city in southern Turkey. It was not only well received by visitors from all walks of life but also attracted attention from some major media. Many local newspapers, magazines and televisions reported on the event before and during the show.
  • Finland: Mourning Fellow Practitioners

    On January 27, 2009, at Helsinki railway station, practitioners lit candles and hung banners with messages including “Falun Dafa is Good”, “Stop the Chinese Communist Party Removing Organs from live Falun Gong Practitioners”. They mourned fellow practitioners tortured to death during the CCP’s nine-year persecution of Falun Gong.
  • Germany: Chinese Prime Minister Visits Germany

    When the Chinese Prime Minister motorcade passed by, he could see Falun Gong practitioners several meters away displaying banners. The banners called for the ringleaders of the persecution to be brought to justice and called on the Chinese regime to end the persecution of Falun Gong.
