Peru: Practitioners Holding Candlelight Vigil in Front of Chinese Consulate on the Sixth Anniversary of the Persecution
2005-08-02On July 23rd, 2005, practitioners in Peru gathered in a park in front of Chinese Consulate and held a commemorative candlelight vigil and called for an end of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) six-year-long ongoing persecution. Later, the President's motorcade following a police van passed slowly by in front of the practitioners. -

Japan: Wonderful Performances at the 2005 World Exposition, Aichi
2005-08-01To bring some of the beauty of Falun Dafa to more people, practitioners in Japan took part in the six-month-long 2005 World Exposition being held in Aichi County. Practitioners hung banners outside the Outdoor Theatre in the Seto Area, and performed dancing and singing. -

People signed the petition condemning the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. -
United States: Scenes from the 7·20 Rally in Washington, DC
2005-07-31At around 9 a.m. on July 21, 2005, practitioners from all over the world came to the lawn at the west side of Capitol Hill. 2005-07-30On July 23, over twenty Falun Dafa practitioners held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Embassy in Bangkok to commemorate the practitioners who have been killed in the persecution in China. Practitioners also called upon people to take notice of the six years of brutal persecution of Falun Gong and to help end it. -
Radio Free Asia: The World Organisation for Human Rights Sues Xu Guangchun, Secretary of the Henan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party
2005-07-30On July 21, 2005, Xu Guangchun, Secretary of the Henan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party, was sued by the World Organisation for Human Rights when he visited San Francisco, CA. The lawsuit charged Xu with slandering Falun Gong and molding public opinion to persecute Falun Gong. RFA reported on July 25 that human rights organisation pointed out that Xu Guangchun had committed serious crimes in the persecution of Falun Gong when he was Deputy Minister of the Publicity Department and concurrent Director of Broadcasting and TV Bureau, and Secretary of the Henan Provincial Committee of Communist Party. -

Washington Times (United States): Site claims 3 million former Communists
2005-07-29In November, the Epoch Times published a nine-part polemic called "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" that was distributed clandestinely in China and outlined the Communist Party's history of repression and human rights violations. "The goal is not to overthrow the [the Communist Party], but to give people information so they can make their own moral judgment," said Shujia Gong, a practitioner of Falun Gong and student at George Mason University, who said he has 10 friends in China who have quit the party. -
