Agents from the Dingxing County 610 Office and Police Department in Hebei Province Force Han Xuelian to Have an Abortion

On July 22nd, 2007, police officers arrested practitioner Ms. Han Xuelian and her three family members. The police ransacked her home and confiscated electronic equipment and personal belongings. Later on, Han Xuelian's mother-in-law, her husband, and her sister-in-law were also locked up in the detention centre. Han Xuelian's husband is not a practitioner. Han Xuelian was sent to a forced labour camp a week ago and discovered then she was pregnant. The forced labour camp would not accept her and told the police department to release her. After the police took her back, they did not let her go home. They used deceitful tricks to secretly abort Han Xuelian's baby. Several days later they again sent her, her husband, and her sister-in-law to Shijiazhuang Forced Labour Camp. -
Mother and Son from Liaoning Province Arrested after Unfurling Banners on Tiananmen Square on July 20th, 2007
2007-08-17On July 20th, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Xu Hui and her son, Mr. Cai Chao went to Beijing together to unfurl banners on Tiananmen Square. They were arrested by officers from the Tiananmen Police Department and are being detained in the Dongcheng District Detention Centre. The banners they held up read: "Heaven Will Destroy the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)" and "Stop the CCP's Atrocity of Harvesting Living Falun Gong Practitioners' Organs!" The Dongcheng District Detention Centre refused to allow the family to visit and only provided a photo for the family to identify them. In the photo, Ms. Xu's face was very red, as if she had been beaten. -
Ms. Bai Jialing Persecuted in the Shibalihe Forced Labour Camp in Henan Province
2007-08-17In spring of 2006, someone reported practitioner Ms. Bai Jialing to the authorities because she was clarifying the facts to people about the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. As a result, she was sentenced to one year of forced labour and taken to the Shibalihe Forced Labour Camp in Henan Province. While detained, she suffered from both physical and mental torture. In the hot summer, Ms. Bai was handcuffed and her head was covered with a plastic bag with only the nose and mouth area cut open to allow her to breathe. She was only allowed a little water to drink in the evening. Within two days, her mouth was full of sores. After just two months of severe torture at the Shibalihe Forced Labour Camp, Ms. Bai Jialing's hair all turned white. -
Eyewitness to the Brutal Treatment of Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Li Xiuying at Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp in Changchun City
2007-08-17I saw a woman lying on the ground. Her shirt was unbuttoned, and her bra was ripped loose and barely covering her breasts. Her trousers were also pulled loose, and she wore no shoes. It looked like she had been dragged on the ground for a long time. She was lying on her back, motionless, with her pale face turned to one side. Her hair was a mess. We could tell that she was still alive only from her slightly moving abdomen. Several guards were making dirty jokes and laughing at the practitioner on the ground. Liu Hu even kicked her and cursed, "Fake death." According to a prison guard, the woman was a Falun Gong practitioner from Tonghua City. I saw her name on a bulletin board: "Ms. Li Xiuying." -
Over Forty Practitioners Arrested in Liaoning Province, Ms. Hu Yanrong Dies Under Suspicious Circumstances in Police Custody

On August 1st 2007, police officers arrested over 40 practitioners, including Ms. Hu Yanrong, during a Falun Dafa meeting. Ms. Hu Yanrong was tortured in the Lingyuan Detention Centre and the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp in Shenyang City. Ms. Hu fell into a coma and died at 2 a.m. on August 5th. The details of Ms. Hu's death are still under investigation. -
Hebei Province Police Try to Send Practitioner Li Weimin to Forced Labour to Meet Quota for "Olympics Preparations"
2007-08-16Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Weimin lives in Qing County in Hengshui City, Hebei Province. He was forcibly taken into custody and is detained in the Hengshui City Detention Centre. We learned that the Qing County Police received an order to send a certain number of Falun Dafa practitioners to forced labour before the 2008 Olympics. They are trying to forcibly take Mr. Li Weimin to a labour camp again. -
Falun Gong Practitioners in Heilongjiang Province Appeal to International Organisations to Investigate the Brutal Persecution

On June 28th 2007, 30-year-old Ms. Jiang Pai died as a result of persecution, she was still wearing 5-kilo-shackles. Two days before she died in hospital her parents saw her handcuffed to a bed, shackled and unconscious. There were black and blue marks on her swollen feet. She was on oxygen and could not speak. The Wolitun Police Department deputy head said, "We will not release her unless she dies." Jiang Pai died two months after she was unlawfully arrested. -
Ms. Yu Peiying and Her Two Daughters From Shanghai Severely Persecuted; Eldest Daughter Tortured to Death
2007-08-16Practitioner Ms. Yu Peiying, 71, was arrested a second time in 2004 and sentenced to three years of imprisonment. In September 2005, she was released on bail for medical treatment due to a stroke. The Shanghai 610 Office and the local neighbourhood committee continue to monitor and follow the elderly lady. Soon after Ms. Yu was released from the labour camp, her eldest daughter Li Weihong passed away in April 2003 after she endured force-feeding with pepper water that caused her to roll back and forth on the ground in severe pain.. -
Practitioner Ms. Cui Xinxiang from Hebei Province Died on July 11th, 2007 as a Result of Persecution
2007-08-15Ms. Cui Xinxiang, a Falun Gong practitioner, went to Beijing seven times to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. She was detained 13 times and sentenced to forced labour twice. To protest the persecution while in prison, Ms. Cui held hunger strikes many times. On July 11th, 2007, Ms. Cui passed away at the age of 54. -
"Return My Mother!"
2007-08-15"Return my mother!" This was the agonising outcry coming from the 16-year-old girl Beibei. Beibei's mother, Liu Shuxiang, was arrested several days ago because she practised Falun Gong. On July 17th, 2007, Liu Shuxiang started to distribute leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong while waiting for a bus. Some bystanders who did not understand the truth reported her to the local authorities, and the local police took her into custody. Liu Shuxiang is currently being confined inside the Qiangdao Mountain Detention Centre on criminal charges. Beibei went to look for her mother everywhere, only to find out that the police abducted her even before she could board the bus at the bus station. Beibei lost her voice because of her agonised crying. -
After Years of Persecution, Wife Dies and Husband is Again Detained
2007-08-15Zhang Aijun and his wife Wang Guiying were both Dafa practitioners from Shandong Province. Since they firmly believe in Dafa and refused to be "transformed", Zhang Aiyun and his wife Wang Guiying were repeatedly arrested and detained. Wang Guiying died in September 2006 as a result of the persecution. Their teenage child is left without family to care for him. -
Tianhe Detention Centre: a Place of Brutal Persecution in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province
2007-08-15Every morning, when the gate opens, the cold winter blows in. The prison warden sits in a chair followed by thugs in red vests with guns in their hands. When the warden waves his hand, the head of the cells will run to him with the labour completion report from the prior day. The warden will then call out names. Those who did not finish their work are subjected to whipping. The thugs will use full force and strike the victims with one end of a long gun. You can only hear the sound of strikes and horrendous screams. The victims' bottoms often are beaten black and purple with blood all over. Falun Gong practitioner Wang Jinhua was subjected to such torture. She had difficulty walking afterwards. -
Urgent Call to Rescue Mr. Cao Dong and Mr. Xu Feng from Severe Torture in Tianshui Prison
2007-08-14Practitioners Mr. Cao Dong and Mr. Xu Feng are both being cruelly tortured in the Gansu Province Third Prison (also called Tianshui Prison). They are locked in two separate cells for brainwashing, with each cell containing 4-5 prisoners that closely monitor and torture them. Cao Dong and Xu Feng are both very weak. Cao Dong met with the Vice President of the European Parliament Edward McMillan-Scott on May 21st, 2006. He provided evidence of the cruel persecution by describing the experiences of his wife and other Falun Gong practitioners. Only two hours after the meeting, he was arrested by State Security agents. We are calling on people to take note of their situation and take action to rescue them. -
Ms. Chen Mingchen, 73, from Fujian Province Tortured to the Verge of Death
2007-08-14Seventy-three-year-old Dafa practitioner Ms. Chen Mingchen was arrested and detained in the Nanping City Detention Centre in December 2006. It has been more than seven months since then. The guards forbade her husband from visiting her. She was interrogated from time to time and threatened. They extorted a "confession" and forcibly brainwashed her. She has become mentally traumatised. Her blood pressure has reached 200 and she suffers urinary incontinence. She lost weight from 121 lbs to 77 lbs and is too weak to stand. They forcibly inject drugs into her and make her take medicine. She is on the brink of death. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhao Meiling Tortured at the Wangcun Women's Forced Labour Camp in Shandong Province
2007-08-14On September 30th, 2005, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhao Meiling was taken to the Wangcui Women's Forced Labour Camp. From July 2006 to March 2007, Ms. Zhao Meiling was confined to a damp toilet that was less than 50 square feet in size. Camp officials ordered some of the inmates imprisoned for drug abuse to watch Falun Dafa practitioners day and night, slandering, cursing, and torturing practitioners. Ms. Zhao was constantly monitored by someone and was beaten by ward leader Zhao Wenhui. Ms. Zhao Meiling was tortured for a long time by having her arms stretched, her wrists tightly shackled, and her legs constrained in painful positions. She could only stand up or squat down. She was also tied to a metal pipe and force-fed. As a result, her health became very frail and she became hypertensive at times.
