Mr. Yang Hongquan from Jilin City Persecuted to Death
2006-12-03The police beat him, used a wood plank to scrape his ribs, and turned him around by dragging his hair. The police also used plastic bags to cover his head and suffocate him. They released him momentarily when they saw him near death before they repeated the suffocation. The police also threatened that he was not to go out and talk to anyone else about the torture; otherwise they would torture him to death. He died on August 29th, 2006. -
Four Practitioners from Shandong, Liaoning, Jilin, and Yunnan Provinces Pass Away as a Result of the Persecution
2006-12-03Ms. Feng Guiqin was 65 years old. She began practising Dafa in 1997 and was cured of chronic bronchitis. She went to Beijing to appeal after the persecution began. When she went back to Linghai City, the police shocked her with electric batons, slapped her face, beat and kicked her. They then took her to a custody centre and held her there for 40 days. She was held again for the second time for 15 days and was extorted of 1,800 yuan. The local police frequently harassed her and her family at home. She passed away at home on September 4th, 2006. -
Practitioner Mr. Li Feng From Hebei Province Brutally Tortured; Family Asks for Medical Parole
2006-12-03Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Feng was sentenced to 15 years in prison for broadcasting videos exposing the persecution on the cable TV system. He was held at the prison in Hebei Province and savagely tortured. He was administered with unknown drugs against his will, resulting in a partial loss of hearing and eyesight. He lost the ability to think for many days. He was subjected to brainwashing until he suffered a nervous breakdown. He has had persistent high blood pressure and symptoms of heart disease since March 2005. He is in critical condition, and his family has asked for his release on medical parole. The prison authorities refused the petition because he did not "reform." -
Ms. He Qing Tortured for 100 Days Straight in Shijiazhuang Forced Labour Camp, Hebei Province
2006-12-02Practitioner Ms. He Qing was sentenced to two years of forced labour in May 2002. She was once tortured around the clock for 100 days at Shijiazhuang Forced Labour Camp. The guards forced her to stand against a wall while they beat her palms and legs with a broom. They also threatened her, saying "As long as you are alive, the brainwashing will continue. If we beat you to death, it will be considered a suicide, and no one will care." After about 20 days, they kept her handcuffed to a bed frame day and night, stretching her arms as far apart as they would go. If she began to fall asleep, the weight of her entire body would pull on her shoulder muscles, causing excruciating pain. -
Ms. Wang Yamin Suffers Mental Disorder from Persecution in Jiangsu Province
2006-12-02On October 24th, 2005, Wang Yamin was arrested while at work by the State Security Group of Donghai County. She was questioned and tortured for eight days and nights with electronic batons and unknown drugs to force her to give up her beliefs. As a result, Ms. Wang Yamin became mentally disordered. She is currently detained on the Mental Disorder Section of Pukou Prison in Nanjing City. -
A Practitioner Exposes Cruel Acts of Persecution at Harbin Women's Jail in Heilongjiang Province
2006-12-02In the Chinese New Year of 2003, I visited a fellow practitioner. However I was arrested by a police officer and taken to a place for interrogating and torturing Falun Gong practitioners. The police chained me on the "iron chair". They used many means to torture me, first punching my head, temples, etc., and repeatedly slapping my face. Later they used an electric baton to shock my hands and body. Later they tied me up on the iron chair with a rope that was so tight it almost suffocated me. I could hardly breathe. Then they held up my shirt, exposing my whole upper body, and used the electric baton to shock me until lines of blood appeared on my chest and back. -
Partial Description of the Persecution of Practitioners in Qianjin Prison, Beijing
2006-12-02Mr. Wang Weiyu, a doctoral student at Tsinghua University was sentenced to eight years and is currently in Qianjin Prison. Previously, he was imprisoned in an unknown place in Daxing City for six months and twelve days. During this period, he suffered a myriad of torture and humiliation. He was interrogated and forced to submit to the authorities' demands. The guards used electric batons with ten thousand volts to shock Mr. Wang all over his body, until almost every part of his body had been shocked. They pressed an electric baton onto his body and held the switch until the power was used up and then used another baton to shock him again. -
Ms. Wang Yulin from Jilin City Escaped after Being Arrested
2006-12-02At around 7:00 p.m. on November 13th, 2006, five police officers stormed into Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Yulin's home. They dragged her into the police vehicle without letting her put on trousers over her pyjamas. Ms. Wang's husband, Mr. Han Yunyou, and their relative, Ms. Jiang Li, (both practitioners) were also arrested. The officers took the three practitioners to the police station. A heavy-set policeman in his 40s hit Ms. Wang in the face with a book. Ms. Wang managed to escape a little later. -
The Guiping City 610 Office in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Persecutes and Tortures Practitioners
2006-12-01At 11:00 p.m. on November 6th, 2006, police officers from the Guiping 610 Office arrested practitioner Mr. Liang Zhiwei. Mr. Liang was on his way home from work when he was struck down by the officers. They swarmed around him, kicked him, beat him with iron rods, and shocked him with electric batons. Mr. Liang's head was covered with bumps and bruises. The officers then ransacked his residence, taking away everything of value. Mr. Liang is being held at the Guiping Detention Centre. -
Fuling Police Station in Chongqing City Persecutes Practitioners Employed at the Chuandong Ship Manufacturing Factory
2006-12-01Ms. Chen Yunqing was posting leaflets exposing the persecution in Chongqing City during May 2001. She was detained in a detention centre. She was then sentenced to Maojiashan Forced Labour Camp. She was tortured, and required hospitalisation after only six months. Ms. Chen was arrested, held, and tortured for over a month at the Fuling Police Centre, without any charges being filed, during the 2001 New Year. She was then released. In August 2002 Ms. Chen was again imprisoned at the Fuling Detention Centre for several months. She was then sentenced to three years in Yongchuan Prison. She was released in 2005, but she can't go home because of the persecution. -
Ms. Liang Yanying Is Sent to Forced Labour for Two Years; Her Daughter Might Have to Leave College
2006-12-01Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liang Yanying, in her 40s, is a teacher. She truthfully answered her students' questions about Falun Gong in class. Her brother's wife, who is also the school's Chinese Communist Party (CCP)CCP Secretary, led Yitong County State Security agents to ransack her home and threatened her until she fainted. On September 18th, 2006, a CCP agent went to the school again, arrested Ms. Liang, sentenced her to two years of forced labour, and took her to the Changchun City Forced Labour Camp. Now that Ms. Liang has been secretly arrested and sent to a forced labour camp, her daughter is faced with not having enough money to go to college. -
Three Missing Practitioners from Hubei, Hunan, and Jilin Provinces
2006-12-01In August 2000, Ms. Cao Qiongfen, in her 40s, was sentenced to one year in Shizishan Forced Labour Camp. Three months later, the persecution had left her in a state of mental collapse. Later she nearly lost consciousness due to the brutal persecution she faced in the labour camp. Despite her deteriorated health, the criminal inmates who were sent to monitor her still beat her and yelled at her frequently. People could hear her miserable cries from her room every day. Ms. Cao Qiongfen's term was extended for a long time. As of now, no one knows her whereabouts. -
Practitioner Mr. Liu Yi Still Detained in Cangzhou City No. 2 Detention Centre - His Family Members Also Persecuted
2006-12-01Practitioner Mr. Liu Yi was arrested on April 1st, 2006, by Zhang Guofu, head of the Xinhua District Police Branch National Security Division. The police confiscated Mr. Liu's bank cards that had a large amount of his savings, many personal belongings, and his car. Liu Yi's family members spent a great deal of money on gifts and restaurant meals for corrupt officials and finally got back some of their belongings. However, Mr. Liu is still detained in the No. 2 Detention Centre. Police at the detention centre kept telling lies to deceive his family and reject their requests to see him. -
Ms. Wang Bo and her Family Defend Themselves by Explaining the Facts about Falun Dafa
2006-11-30On November 10th, 2006, the Changan District Court falsely charged Ms. Wang Bo, her father Mr. Wang Xinzhong, and her mother Ms. Liu Shuqin with "Sabotaging Law Enforcement" and conducted a show trial. After enduring physical and mental torture from the police, Ms. Wang and her parents were very frail, especially her father. During the trial, Ms. Liu exposed the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) inhuman persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by sharing her family's bitter experiences. She also tried to defend her family members by explaining that Falun Gong practitioners' exposing the persecution activities fall under the category of freedom of belief and speech allowed in the Chinese constitution. -
Zhao Caihua, a Falun Gong Practitioner in Huludao City, Liaoning Province, Is Once Again Sent to the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp
2006-11-30a Falun Gong practitioner, worked at the Zinc Company of Longgang District, Huludao City, Liaoning Province. On October 18th, 2006, when she was distributing Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution, Ms. Zhao Caihua, was arrested and detained her at the city custodial centre. After Zhao Caihua's 15-day detention ended on November 2nd, she was sent to the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp for further persecution.
