The 610 Office Disabled Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhang Zhe from Hebei Province through Brutal Beatings
2005-10-18
In April and May 2001, the local 610 Office imprisoned Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Zhe and her husband Mr. Chen Xijian from Hebei Province. They subjected the couple to all kinds of torture and mistreatment. The police set up a torture room at this place, and violently beat Ms. Zhang. At first, they beat her feet, knees and shoulders. In the process, they broke several wooden clubs. Later, they soaked the clubs in water to prevent them from breaking. To this day, Ms. Zhang's legs and feet are still numb and without any feeling. Her left leg was left with a deep scar. This has prevented her from walking normally, or standing for more than a short while. Ms Zhang is permanently disabled. -
Ms. Zheng Xiuqing from Yanbian Tortured and Sent to Forced Labour Camp: Her First-hand Account
2005-10-18On August 31st 2005, when practitioner Ms. Zheng Xiuqin took her daughter to her middle school, she told the facts of Falun Dafa to the taxi driver. The taxi driver, He Yang, reported her to the police. She and her daughter were arrested by the police. The police tortured Ms. Zheng brutally and seriously injured her. Her daughter, who is not a practitioner, was also beaten cruelly. The police did not want to take responsibility for their injuries, so they ordered Ms. Zheng's family to take them home on September 3rd. -
Two Falun Dafa PractitionersUnjustly Sentenced to Prison in Laiwu City
2005-10-18Practitioners Mr. Wang Zideng and Mr. Pang Jihai were represented by a defence counsel in Laichen District Court, Laiwu City on February 1st 2005. The defence counsel argued that according to the law, Wang Zideng should be released. However, the amoral court determined on June 5th 2005, that Mr. Wang be sentenced to 7 years in prison and Pang Jihai to 6 years in prison for following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to improve themselves. The court verdicts were controlled by the Laiwu City 610 Officeband the Political Judicial Committee. -
Chen Guibin from Shandong Province Died from Beating by Security Officers at His Place of Employment in 2001
2005-10-17A March 4th 2001 news report revealed that Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Chen Guibin from Wucheng County, Shandong Province died as a result of being beaten by security officers at his place of employment, a cotton manufacturing facility. Even after Mr. Chen Guibin became paralysed from the beatings he remained mentally quite clear. During treatment at a hospital, he told all his friends and relatives about how he was grossly abused and persecuted. Chen Guibin said, "When they were beating me, my head banged against the strongbox and I lost consciousness. They continued beating me for a long time. He was sent to a hospital but after he was discharged he died shortly after on February 7th 2001. -
Li Guangnian Develops Pain and Weakness in His Legs after Receiving Injection of Unknown Drug at Shayang Prison General Hospital
2005-10-17Mr. Li Guangnian, over 40 years old, developed problems in his legs after he received an injection from Yang Jingqin, associate professor at Hubei Province Shayang Prison General Hospital. Mr. Li felt terrible pain. Afterwards, he gradually developed pain throughout his whole lower body. He now feels pain regardless of whether he sits, stands or walks. He cannot stand up after using the toilet. This situation has continued for several months. One wonders what kind of injection Yang Jingqin gave Mr. Li Guangnian? -
Three Elderly Lady Practitioners Die After Facing Persecution
2005-10-1767 year old Mrs. Wei Peixiu went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, was arrested, and was subjected to brainwashing for three days. During another period of detention she was beaten, kicked, forced to kneel on bricks and forced to carry bricks on her back. Her knees bled, and her waist and back were injured from the torture. Due to the almost incessant harassment from the police, Mrs. Wei Peixiu died on the evening of September 1st 2005. -
71 Year Old Mr. Xu Shaofa Died as a Result of Long-Term Harassment
2005-10-17Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Xu Shaofa was seventy-one years old. Before practising cultivation, he used to have stomach problems, heart disease, bronchitis, and he was very thin and weak due to being wracked by sickness. Shortly after cultivating Falun Dafa in 1998, all of his health problems were miraculously gone. He told the facts of Falun Dafa to the Chinese government yet the police went to his home and threatened to have his children fired from their jobs if he did not quit practising Falun Gong. Due to long term harassment and pressure, Mr. Xu Shaofa died on June 24th 2005. -
Mr Peng Geng, a Policeman from the Liaoning Provincial Public Security Office, Was Persecuted to Death Because He Firmly Practised Falun Dafa
2005-10-16Mr. Peng Geng, thirty-one years old and a former policeman of the Liaoning Provincial Public Security Office, was suspended from his duties because he firmly practised Falun Dafa, and he was detained and tortured in Masanjia Forced Labour Camp and other labour camps or prisons. When he became terminally ill, the court and prison both agreed on release on medical grounds, but the 610 office of Shenyang City refused to release him. On July 14th 2005 Peng was persecuted to death. In the final moments of his life, Peng Geng still told his family members: "Falun Dafa is good." -
A Practitioner Is Tortured to Death in the Second Detention Centre of Hegang City
2005-10-16A male Falun Dafa practitioner was tortured to death in the Second Detention Centre of Hegang City in early October of 2005. It is said that the practitioner's body is stored in an autopsy room in the detention centre. Other details are unknown, and we hope people who know additional details can provide them. The related agencies of Hegang City have tightly controlled the news. The family members have not been notified and are not allowed to visit him. The persecutors are planning to secretly cremate his body. -
Dafa Practitioners Suffer Threats, Torture and Hard Labour at Beijing Tuanhe Forced Labour Camp
2005-10-16At the Tuanhe forced labour camp in Beijing, an assistant instructor once said to me, "Do you still refuse to be 'transformed'? I do have ways to make you! I will first inject you with addictive drugs. Then after you develop an addiction, I will withhold the drugs. I will only give you the drug when you say that you will stop practising." At the labour camp, I would often hear these words from the police, "Transformed or not? If not, we will extend your term by ten months!" "You are not allowed to talk to so-and-so. Otherwise wait and see!" -
Three Older Ladies Have Died After Frequent Persecution
2005-10-16Ms. Yang Suqing was a 58-year-old practitioner. On the afternoon of January 7th 2001, when she was at home, three police officers rushed into her home and illegally confiscated her Falun Dafa books and took her into custody. They released her after extorting 1000 yuan from her. One day in July 2001, she went out to post leaflets exposing the persecution and was arrested by the police. After many rescue efforts were made, she was released from the forced labour camp. Unable to recover, she died on October 28th of the same year. -
How Wang Jinian and Zhang Quanfu Died as a Result of Torture at the Chaoyanggou Labour Camp in Changchun City
2005-10-1534-year-old Mr. Wang Jinian was sent to the Chaoyanggou Labour Camp and was tortured for one year. In December, the camp authorities released him due to the extreme weakness of his body. Because of the severe torture, his condition worsened. He died in January 2002 about 20 days after he returned home. 65-year-old Mr. Zhang Quanfu was also sent to Chaoyanggou Labour Camp and viciously tortured. Only when he was on the verge of death, was he finally sent to the hospital. Mr. Zhang Quanfu passed away in less than a day after he was sent to the hospital in early 2003. -
Dalian City Practitioner Ms. Qu Shumei Imprisoned and Tortured at Masanjia Forced Labour Camp
2005-10-15Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Qu Shumei was arrested again and sentenced to forced labour for two and a half years in May 2004. She is imprisoned in Masanjia Forced Labour Camp and is being severely persecuted. During her previous term in a forced labour camp Ms. Qu Shumei was was brutally tortured, sexually abused, and even locked up in a small cage. Her husband, Mr. Zhu Changbin, was also sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment and is in Dabei Prison in Shengyang City. Their 16-year-old son is being taken care of by her parents. -
After Suffering a Ruptured Pancreas in Brutal Beating, Mr. Ma Zexuan Has Mental Breakdown during Brainwashing Session
2005-10-15Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Ma Zexuan from Tianjin was arrested by the local police for practising Falun Gong. He was detained first in the Shuangkou Forced Labour Camp, then in the Qingbowa Forced Labour Camp and later in the Ji County Yushan Forced Labour Camp. The guards in the forced labour camps brutally tortured Mr. Ma with such inhuman methods such as punching him very hard in the stomach area that his pancreas ruptured. Then he was subjected to relentless brainwashing until finally he suffered a mental collapse. -
Four Practitioners Put on Trial Unlawfully in Liaoning Province
2005-10-15On September 12th 2005, the Xinglongtai District Court put on trial four practitioners who had been arrested without due cause. The "defence lawyers" for the four practitioners were court-appointed (Note: The lawyers could only enter guilty pleas for the practitioners and were not allowed to speak in their defence.) Ms. Hu wanted to defend her innocence, but the court refused to hear her. Her lawyer said, "I'm not allowed to enter a not guilty plea for you. I can only enter a guilty plea of misdemeanour." Mr. Hou's lawyer was not allowed to enter a not guilty plea and thus entered a guilty plea for misdemeanour for him as well.
