Practitioners Ms. Tan Xiuying and Ms. Zhang Haiqin from Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province Fell Victim to Trickery and Were Arrested by Communist Regime Spies

According to insiders, when Ms. Tan Xiuying went out to to distribute leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong, a man in his forties approached her and began to communicate with her. He tricked her into believing he was interested in learn about Falun Gong and the persecution and arranged to meet her at a later time. On August 17th, 2007, Ms. Tan and another practitioner Ms. Zhang Haiqin were arrested. They are now being held in the Shijiazhuang City Forced Labour Camp. Ms. Tan Xiuying was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labour. The length of Ms. Zhang Haiqin's forced labour term is unknown. -
Persecution of 70-year-old Practitioner Ms. Wang Yanxiang in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province
2007-10-07Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Yanxiang, a 70-year-old woman from Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, was again persecuted on September 27th, 2007. Her daughter, Ms. Liu Shufen, is also a Falun Gong practitioner and was sentenced to 11 years in prison eight years ago. Ms. Wang's husband died about one year ago, so she not only lost her family but lost her sole financial resource. This lonely old woman's experience is so bitter that a lot of kind people surrounding her feel much sympathy for her. -
Practitioner Ms. Wang Lina from Beijing Sent to a Forced Labour Camp-Her Family Forced to Endure Additional Suffering
2007-10-06One morning in late July or early August, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Lina from Beijing was arrested at her home by police officers. Ms. Wang was sentenced to two years in a forced labour camp. Presently, the persecutors are blocking the information about where she is detained. Ms. Wang's daughter said, "After my mum was arrested, I was shocked and could not concentrate on my exams. I am so worried about my mum. Last time my mother was sent to a forced labour camp, she suffered a lot." -
Police Arrest Three Elderly Ladies in Li County, Hebei Province, Ransack Their Homes and Confiscate Their Property
2007-10-04On September 19th, 2007, three elderly ladies, Ms. Wen Zhen, Ms. Shu Mei and Ms. Cui Xiaoxian went to the Huagang Area to distribute leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong. They were arrested by a group of police from Li County National Security Team. That same afternoon, the police ransacked their homes. The confidcated electrical equipment and took away all belongings of any value, leaving behind only a broken refrigerator. Ms. Shu Mei's grand daughter broke into tears when she returned home and saw the mess. She was too scared to sleep in the home that night. While the policemen ransacked their homes, they did not show any search warrant or ID, nor did they provide a log of the confiscated items or have any consent from witnesses or the victims' family members. -
Ms. Luo Xiangyin Taken into Custody While Teaching
2007-10-03Since the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20th, 1999, Ms. Luo Xiangyin has been subjected to persecution many times by the Chinese Communist Party. On September 17th, 2007, while Ms. Luo was teaching in the Balipu Village Primary School, the principal called her into his office. She was then taken away by an officer of the State Security Division in Yi County, under the pretext that no one would be allowed to go to Beijing to appeal during the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) 17th Congress. She was then taken to the Jinzhou City No. 2 Detention Centre. -
Urgent Call to Stop Persecuting Two Older Falun Gong Practitioners -- Ms. Li Chunmei and Ms. Ren Xueying
2007-10-02Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began persecuting Falun Gong, Ms. Li Chunmei and Ms. Ren Xueying, two older practitioners from Zhoukou City in Henan Province, have been detained and persecuted multiple times. At about 3:00 p.m. on August 24th, 2007, Ren Xueying and Li Chunmei were taken from their homes at the same time. Ms. Ren Xueying, 58, is a retired senior lecturer from the Zhoukou Sports School. After Ms. Ren's second Beijing appeal the persecutors sentenced her to one year and nine months of forced labour. Ms. Li Chunmei is an elderly retired employee from the Department of Logistics at Zhoukou Normal University. She was detained in a detention centre when she was critically ill from persecution. Her husband, unable to withstand the pressure of harassment from officials, beat her. -
Police in Jining City, Shandong Province Arrested Mr. Li Ruifeng, Whose Deafness was Cured After Practising Falun Dafa
2007-10-01At around 6:00 a.m. on September 12th, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Ruifeng, who was born as a deaf mute from Jining City, Shandong Province, was arrested by police. At the same time, his 70-year-old father and son were also arrested. The police also confiscated a computer, printer, copier, and Falun Dafa materials from his home, which filled up a whole truck. After practising Falun Dafa, Mr. Li's hearing problems improved. He could even communicate with other people with the help of a hearing aid. Before the persecution of Falun Dafa started on July 20th, 1999, his story was spread widely in Jining City. It was referred to as the miracle that happened to a deaf mute who could talk after practising Falun Dafa. -
Mr. Zhang Junan and His Wife, Cai Baoju, from Shenyang City Secretly Sentenced in Liaoning Province
2007-09-28Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Zhang Junan and his wife, Ms. Cai Baoju were arrested by Taoxian police officers on June 24th, 2007. It has been confirmed that they were secretly sentenced without their family being notified, they were not permitted a public trial with a defence lawyer, and they never admitted to any wrongdoing. Mr. Zhang Junan, who was born with polio, was sentenced to six months in prison and Ms. Cai Baoju to three and a half years. -
Panjin City National Security Bureau Officials Recently Arrested Many Falun Gong Practitioners
2007-09-26According to a preliminary investigation, numerous Falun Gong practitioners in Panjin City, Liaoning Province were recently arrested. Participating in the early morning arrests on August 30th, 2007 were officials from the National Security Bureau and local police stations. The practitioners were taken to the Panjin City Detention Centre in Shisanlipu. Two or more police cars were dispatched to each practitioner's home to carry out the arrests. These officials broke into Falun Gong practitioners' homes between 5:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. that morning, arrested the practitioners and ransacked their homes. They also took money and personal belongings. The police knew the exact location of computers, printers and other equipment, and they carried a list of names and addresses. -
An Elderly Mother's Journey in Search of Her Daughter
2007-09-25I am over 70 years old. My daughter's name is Chen Man. In March of this year, my son-in-law, Zhang Weijie, disappeared on his way to work. My anxious daughter searched high and low for news of her husband. Only after two months of searching did she find out that he has been imprisoned by the local 610 Office in the Shenjiaji Brainwashing Centre. My daughter visited the brainwashing centre on several occasions to ask about her husband. On June 8th, when she went there again, she was imprisoned in the same Shenjiaji Brainwashing Centre. Even though she is perfectly harmless and was only trying to find her husband who practises Falun Dafa, she was arrested and imprisoned. She has broken not a single law in the country. -
Chuanying District Court in Jilin City Sentenced Five Practitioners after They Suffered Brutal Torture
2007-09-24On September 11th, 2007 Chuanying District Court in Jilin City, Jilin Province sentenced five Falun Gong practitioners to long prison terms. Agents in the Jilin City Police Department used the following methods to torture these practitioners: 1) Compressing the practitioners' legs with spiral steel bars (used to construct buildings). 2) Force-feeding them spicy mustard oil. 3) Handcuffing practitioners with their arms behind their back and brutally beating them. 4) Sexually assaulting a female practitioner by penetrating her with a wooden stick. 5) Using plastic implements to cover practitioners' faces so they could not breathe. 6) Force-feeding them with huge amounts of salt water. They are very weak now. -
610 Office in Baiding City Arrests Practitioner Ms. Sun Jingsu, a Kind Farmer, Breaking Into Her Home Late at Night
2007-09-24At about 3:30 a.m. on August 29th, 2007, National Security guards from the 610 Office in Baiding City, Hebei Province, broke into the home of Ms. Sun Jingsu. They entered by climbing over a wall and breaking through a window, and then forcibly took her away. They imprisoned Ms. Sun in a brainwashing centre and tried twice to send her to Shijiangzhuang City Forced Labour Camp, but the camp refused to take her because of her health condition. -
Jinzhou City Police Harass and Detain Falun Gong Practitioners (Photo)
2007-09-23On August 25th at around 10 p.m., Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Jing Cuizhen, who is over 60, and Ms. You, who is over 70, were arrested by the police and security personnel when they were distributing leaflets exposing the persecution . They were taken to the Nu'erhe Police Station. The police interrogated Jing Cuizhen attempting to force her to give a confession through torture. Jing Cuizhen was brutally beaten, and her eyes were blue and purple with hyperemia. Her lips were swollen and bleeding. The front side of her coat was covered with blood stains and her hands were cuffed behind her back. The handcuffs dug into her hands. Her hands were badly swollen and her knees were black and blue. -
Two Female Senior Citizens Arrested in Xintai City, Shandong Province - One Brutally Tortured, the Other's Whereabouts Still Unknown
2007-09-21The Public Security Bureau in Xintai City arrested practitioner Ms. Ying Peikun, in her 60s, again on September 1st. She had been detained in a forced labour camp for two years until released at the beginning of this year. ey forbade her from speaking. If she spoke, they would pull her hair and pinch her mouth and cheek. Her upper teeth were pulled out, leaving her with only four teeth. They sealed her mouth and bound her arms, hands, and legs with tape. They pulled out several clumps of her hair. The day after her arrest, another practitioner from the same village, Zhu Minglin, also in her 60s, was arrested as well. -
The Story of 64 Practitioners from Kunming That Appealed for Justice for Falun Gong in 2000
2007-09-21On April 4th, 2000, 64 practitioners went to the Appeals Office of the Yunnan Province Communist Party Committee to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. Several practitioners represented the group to talk to the staff in the appeals office. They peacefully described the wonders of Dafa and asked to have Teacher's [Teacher Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa] name cleared, for the persecution of Falun Gong to stop, to be able to practise legally, and to have all the detained practitioners released. Half-an-hour later, several police cars arrived, as well as two buses and one mid-sized van. They were taken to their local police stations. Two days later, those who were steadfast in their belief were sent to different detention centres in Kumin City and were detained for half-a-month or one month. Later, over ten practitioners were sentenced to forced labour.
