  • Switzerland: Interesting Stories While Raising Awareness about Falun Gong among Chinese Tourists

    Lausanne is a renowned tourist site in Switzerland. There are always many tourists visiting its famous attractions, including more and more tourists from Mainland China. It is an excellent place for Falun Gong practitioners in Switzerland to talk to Chinese people face-to-face, distribute the “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party,” encourage withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party and let the precious Chinese people know the truth.
  • European Falun Dafa Association writes to UK Foreign Secretary: “These encroachments on basic freedoms in Hong Kong cannot stand”

    More than 800 Falun Gong practitioners have been denied entry to Hong Kong in recent days, having traveled there for demonstrations over the ten-year anniversary of Hong Kong’s handover to China. Witnesses say police officers have disregarded standard deportation procedures and used excessive force, including forcefully wrapping detainees in tarps and physically carrying them onto airplanes departing Hong Kong. An email leaked by a Taiwanese travel agency details instructions from the Hong Kong Immigration Department to bar Falun Gong practitioners from boarding Hong Kong-bound planes in Taiwan.
  • Austria: Almost Eight Years Have Passed Since the Beginning of the Systematic and Brutal Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners in China

    Many hold hope for an improvement in China's human rights situation with the promise of the Olympic Games. However, a black list has been distributed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), in which forty-three different categories of undesirable people that should not be allowed to come to China for the Olympics are listed, among them Falun Gong practitioners.
  • Germany: Falun Gong and Lotus Flowers to the Fore at The Altonale Culture Festival

    With the theme “The Path of Falun Gong” we organised a photo exhibition in two pavilions. There were photos depicting the dissemination of Falun Gong, photos about the persecution that began in July of 1999, as well as photos about the peaceful protests that call for an end to the torture and murder of Falun Gong practitioners in China.
  • Germany: Raising Awareness about the Persecution of Falun Gong During the Regensburg Citizens’ Festival

    Regensburg is an ancient city in south Germany with a history of 2,000 years. The Citizen Festival is held in this city every two years and attracts thousands of tourists from all the corners of the world. The Citizens’ Festival 2007 was held on 23rd and 24th of June. German Falun Gong practitioners took part in the festival again and they found the difference between this year and last year was that tourists came up to seek the truth rather than waiting to be approached.
  • Scotland: Promoting Falun Gong and Letting the People of Inverness Know about the Persecution

    In Inverness, known as the capital of the Scottish highlands, on Sunday June 23rd, 2007, UK practitioners held various activities at a street market. At last year’s successful event, the organiser told practitioners, “You created a wonderful environment with our peaceful practice perhaps you’d like to come along next year”.
  • Austria: Raising Awareness about Falun Gong in the Streets of Salzburg

    On June 30th, 2007, a group of Austrian Falun Gong practitioners held an activity in the old city of Salzburg to expose the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party. They also hoped to introduce the benefits of practising Falun Gong to local people and visitors visiting the city from all over the world.
  • Germany: Support for the Twenty-Three Million People Who Have Quit the Chinese Communist Party

    A Catholic priest told practitioners that when religion and capitalism could not completely solve social problems, some people, including himself, start to put their hopes in Communism. They look at Communism hoping to find a society where everyone is equal. But the practice from the past few decades proved that Communism is a failure.
  • Germany: Hamburg Practitioners' Activity to Support the Twenty Million Withdrawals from the CCP

    Hamburg practitioners organised an information day in support of the twenty million withdrawals form the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The booth was at a coveted location close to the central train station, because there were many passersby in that particular area. A man from Dortmund commented on the theme of the persecution of believers and different-minded people, “I know about it. I come from the former East Germany. The same happened in the former German Democratic Republic (GDR) under the communist regime.”
  • Germany: The Divine Land Marching Band Makes its debut at Frankfurt’s Great Culture Parade

    On June 23rd, 2007, the 20th Frankfurt Great Culture Parade was held on the street near Frankfurt Lake. The parade attracts about 120,000 spectators every year. Composed of 160 Falun Gong practitioners, the European Falun Gong Divine Land Marching Band made its debut at the parade.
  • Switzerland: Promoting Falun Gong at the Municipal Government Buildings in Zurich

    On June 23rd, 2007, Swiss Falun Gong practitioners held an activity in front of the municipal government buildings in Zurich. They set up a table at the foot of the bridge across the Limat River and displayed photographs and posters to expose the crimes of the Communist regime and the persecution of Falun Gong. Many tourists stopped to read the posters exposing the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s crime of harvesting organs from live Falun Gong practitioners and the photos of Falun Gong practitioners who have been persecuted to death.
  • France: Practitioners Teach Falun Gong Exercises on Qigong Day in Paris

    During the annual Qigong Day in France a variety of qigong groups gathered in Vincennes Park to teach qigong for a fee. However, Falun Dafa is always free to learn so Falun Gong practitioners taught the exercises for no cost. Several Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated the exercises and distributed leaflets nearby.
  • Turkey: Letting Turkish Students Know about Falun Gong and the Persecution Taking Place in China

    On May 6th, Cemgil Arslan, the headteacher of the Bilge Elit Dershanesi school in Mersin, invited two Falun Gong practitioners to hold a presentation about Falun Gong in the school. They introduced the practice and its principles of ‘Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance’ to the students and taught them the five Falun Gong exercises.
  • Slovakia: Silhouettes of Falun Gong Persecution Victims in Piestany

    Falun Gong practitioners visited Piestany in western Slovakia to introduce Falun Gong and raise awareness about the persecution in China. On unfolded information posters the passers-by could see and read stories of people who were persecuted or even tortured to death by the communist regime in China because they practised Falun Gong.
  • Scotland: Falun Gong Grabs the Limelight at the Glasgow West End Festival

    The annual Glasgow West End Festival always attracts a large number of visitors in June every year. Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate in the event this year. When the activities came to an end, the organiser said that it was a pleasure for them to have Falun Gong participating in the festival and it had made the activities more successful.
