  • Ms. Wu Yunrui, a Respected and Conscientious Provincial-Level Government Official, Sentenced to a Second Four-Year Prison Term for Practising Falun Gong

In September 2003, the jail authorities launched a campaign to forcibly "transform" Falun Gong practitioners. They threatened that the Falun Gong practitioners who refused the "transformation" would be pressed to commit suicide, and then the blame would be shifted to Falun Gong. They said beating to death would also count as suicide. It is said that Ms. Wu Yunrui experienced beating for two days in that campaign. In the afternoon of the second day, she was beaten into a coma, and when she regained consciousness she suffered from a mental disorder for three months. Ms. Wu showed visible bodily deformation, blue discharge ran from her eyes and she had no eye response.
  • A Chinese University with Worldwide Research Ties Persecutes Falun Gong Practitioners

On September 10th, 2006, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Qiu Min, over 30 years old, was taken away by security officers from Sanxia University and the local 610 Office. Mr. Qiu is a teacher at the College of Chemistry and Life Sciences at Sanxia University. Since July 20th, 1999, when the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution of Falun Gong, several teachers at Sanxia University have been arrested and taken to a brainwashing centre by the university's CCP committee and 610 Office. Currently, the university has set up cooperative relations with 54 universities and scientific research institutes around the world, including London South Bank University and University of Wales Swansea.
  • Torture and Slave Labour at Hohhot Forced Labour Camp in Inner Mongolia

The guards took the most steadfast practitioners behind closed doors to torture them with more brutal means. They stuffed filthy socks into the mouths of practitioners to stop them from crying out or groaning, then they handcuffed and shackled them with very heavy fetters. They shocked them with electric batons after pouring water on the floor so as to induce more severe shocks, and they imprisoned practitioners in tiny cells which were less than one foot tall and totally dark. Many practitioners were tortured to the extent that they became very sick. The guards did not allow those sick practitioners to get medical attention or have proper rest.
  • Persecution in the Gaoyang Detention Centre and Baoding Forced Labour Camp

At Gaoyang Detention Centre, Ms. Yan had to listen to the sounds of police beating and verbally abusing people. Police officers tried to force her to give up the practice of Falun Gong by subjecting her to brainwashing, but she refused to cooperate. The police tied her to a "Tiger Bench" for four days and nights. When tied to the "Tiger Bench", your hands and feet are shackled so tightly to a big metal chair that you can't move at all. You sit on two iron bars, with the weight of your whole body pressing on your buttocks. It is extremely painful. During four very hot days when she was tied to a "Tiger Bench," she wasn't given any food or fluids and was not allowed to use the toilet or sleep.
  • The Persecution I Witnessed at the Wanjia Forced Labour Camp

Ms. Song Wenjuan called out, "Falun Dafa is great! Falun Dafa is a righteous way!" Guard Wang Na immediately dragged her off to be tortured. I later learned that the guards had tortured her with electric shocks to the point of unconsciousness. Ms. Sun Yanfang refused to renounce Falun Dafa. Guard Liu Baibing summoned her and brutally tortured her until she could not move her wrists. In spite of this, they still forced her to work. Because of the repeated torture, she has rows of scars behind her knees to this day.
  • I Was Arrested and Taken to Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp to Be Persecuted for My Spiritual Belief

"Most of the people imprisoned in Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp were Falun Gong practitioners. There are also some non-practitioner detainees there, but not many. The atmosphere is especially intense. As soon as a person enters the camp, he/she feels it is ghastly and fearful, causing one to gasp for breath. I lived on the first floor. Five people live in each room. The window was nailed shut and the room was not ventilated. The smell was very strong from the toilets. We often heard guards beating and abusing people on the second floor. There were also the pitiful cries as the practitioners were beaten."
  • Practitioners Tortured at the Fourth Division of Jilin Province Women's Forced Labour Camp

Guard Zhang Guimei and Wang Zhufeng (warden) once tied practitioner Yuan Shufang (over fifty years old) to an execution bed for many days. They used the excuse of treating her illness to insert over ten electric needles into her face, head, hands and soles of her feet and then applied electricity, causing Yuan Shufang to foam from the mouth. Wang Shufeng and Feng Xiaochun (warden) shocked practitioner Ma Guirong (over fifty years old) with electric batons, causing her to be unable to walk or take care of herself. She could only lay on the ground after the beating.
  • Exposing the Brainwashing Methods Used by Masanjia Forced Labour Camp

I just came out of Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. The camp had tried all means to persecute me and make me give up Falun Dafa. When I was initially sent to the labour camp, the guards and the collaborators were very "nice" to me. They showed their particular "care" in their attitude of talking and how they treated me in daily life. Never be deceived by them. After a while, their true intentions were revealed. Each air particle in Masanjia is soaked with evil, and it makes people feel suffocated.
  • Stories of Slave Labour and Psychological Torture at Xin'an Forced Labour Camp

Some practitioners were made to knit sweaters while the rest had to wrap disposable chopsticks and skewer bait fish. Wrapping disposable chopsticks is also hard work. The chopsticks came in large burlap bags. Practitioners had to carry the burlap bags to the third floor, about 100 metres. Each day over 100 burlap bags of chopsticks would arrive. Each bag of chopsticks weighed over 60 lbs. on average. Sometimes there was a shortage of people, and even an elderly practitioner near 60 years old had to carry these heavy sacks to the third floor. Every day practitioners had to wake up before 6:00 a.m. Immediately after they made their beds and washed, they were made to start the day's slave labour.
  • An Appeal from Family and Friends: Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Wang Jincui, 64, of Daqing City Has Been Sentenced

On July 25th, 2006, Ms. Wang Jincui, a Falun Dafa practitioner was tried by the court. She was then sentenced to a four-year prison term by the Honggang District Court. Sources say that 64-year-old Ms. Wang began a hunger strike following her unlawful arrest on June 9th. Her two front teeth were knocked out by a vicious officer of the First Detention Centre of Daqing City. The villains handcuffed her and barbarically force-fed her. In an appeal made several days ago, the family and friends of Wang Jincui requested that Ms. Wang be released immediately and that her good reputation be restored
  • The Persecution of Ms. Lei Xiuhua in Inner Mongolia

Practitioner Ms. Lei Xiuhua is from Inner Mongolia. During the past several years, she was detained multiple times, and her family was fined a great deal of money. As a result, her son was forced to quit school. Her daughter was admitted to a university, but couldn't go since they couldn't afford the tuition. Ms. Lie was sent to forced labour camps twice and detained for a total of two years. She suffered various tortures. She was whipped with power cords and pinched on the upper portion of her thighs.
  • My Experiences in Three Forced Labour Camps

On October 23, 2000, I went to Beijing to appeal to higher authorities on behalf of Falun Dafa with three other practitioners. At 10:00 p.m., we were arrested in a hotel. Our cash was also confiscated. When one practitioner walked toward the doors to leave the lobby, police officers caught him, pushing him to the ground and beating him. The practitioner's nose was bleeding, and his clothes were torn. We were detained and the other practitioners protested the detention. Officer Feng poured boiling water on them, and they were scalded badly. Later on we were detained in Zhangshi Forced Labour Camp. We worked as slaves until 10:00 p.m. or later.
  • Persecution Intensifies in Liaoning Province after the Truth of Organ Harvesting Broadcast via Tapping into the Cable TV Network

On August 26th, 2006, only six miles away from the Sujiatun District, Liaoning Province (the secret concentration camp that witnesses claimed harvested organs from living Falun Dafa practitioners), the truth of this horrible crime was broadcast to the area by practitioners who successfully tapped into the local cable TV network. Local people said they watched the programme exposing the persecution for about an hour and a half. The day after, Central Public Security Bureau officials started a large-scale harassment of local Falun Dafa practitioners. At least ten Falun Dafa practitioners were arrested, and practitioners were forced to have their fingerprints taken.
  • The Persecution of Practitioner Ms. Gao Deyu, in Her 60's, from Sichuan Province

In February 2004 National Security Division guards raided my home and sent me to a detention centre. I held a hunger strike the following day to protest the persecution. Guards told a doctor to force-feed me. I refused to cooperate with them and they didn’t succeed the first time. During the second attempt, agent Liu called the city 610 Office and said, "We can’t force-feed Gao Deyu. She may be dying!" Zhang at the 610 Office said, "Go ahead and force-feed her! I’ll back you up if she dies from it." I lost consciousness from the pain. I faintly recall them feeding me with something, and it smelled like drugs. After the feeding, they pulled out the tube, and the 2.2 ft. tube was dripping with blood.
  • The Persecution I Suffered at the Nanning City No. 1 Detention Centre in Guangxi Autonomous Region

On October 27th, 2004, several police officers from the National Security Team arrested me off the street. They had previously broken into my home and searched it when no one was at home. This time they "showcased" searching my home. One police officer carried a video recorder; one had a conventional camera and a third one had a digital camera. They sent me to Nanning City No. 1 Detention Centre. Inmates have to do daily slave labour until late at night. We were forced to make shoe insteps. If we could not finish the quota, we would have to work overnight. Many times we could only sleep one to two hours. The police agents often arrived with batons in hand to check the product quality. Some police officers poured water and salt on our injuries after they had beaten us.
