Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Lin Qiongfang Recounts Ten Years of Suffering Persecution

I have been detained several times and imprisoned twice because of my belief. Another practitioner and I went out to put up Falun Gong information exposing the persecution in public in February 2003. We were picked up by several officers and taken to the local police office. When we got there, an officer took one damp towel and put it through the gap of my handcuff. He twisted the towel around several turns, twisting my arms along with it. He then threw me to the ground and the handcuff cut into my skin. The police kept interrogating me for seven days and took me to a local prison. I was sentenced to six years in prison several days later. -
Ms. Liu Hefang Confined and Persecuted in Hefei Mental Hospital
2010-10-27Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Hefang was recently arrested by police and is now being detained in Hefei Mental Hospital. She recounts her previous experience of persecution in 2007: "I was on my way to visit a friend and strangers arrested me. They took me to a brainwashing centre. There they played DVDs discrediting Falun Gong every day and tried to force me to write statements to renounce my faith in Falun Gong. I refused. I was sent to a forced labour camp for a year. Guards forced me to do slave labour in the prison workshop more than ten hours each day. I went on a hunger strike. Criminal inmates tied my hands and feet and force-fed me. They pried out one of my incisor teeth." -
The Personal Account of the Abuse and Torture Ms. Lu Quilin From Heilongjiang Province Was Subjected To
2010-10-25Since 1999 when the communist regime started to persecute Falun Gong, I have been continually subjected to mistreatment many times. When I was detained in Hongxinglong Detention Centre police officers came to the detention centre to interrogate me. I refused to co-operate with them and tore up the interrogation form. Both of them grabbed me and beat me frenziedly. They grabbed me by my hair and slammed my head against the wall. They viciously kicked me with their leather shoes and slapped my face with their hands. -
Accounts of Harrowing Persecution at Sanshui Forced Labour Camp, Guangdong Province
2010-10-25Since the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20th, 1999, incomplete statistics have so far revealed that more than 1,000 practitioners have been persecuted in the Sanshui Forced Labour Camp. When Guard Lan Yuanhang saw Mr. Pan Zhihao practising the Falun Gong exercises from a video monitor on April 6th, 2010, he ordered inmates to drag Mr. Pan downstairs to the duty office and beat him. Su Jiashi burned his ears with a cigarette lighter. Due to the severe persecution, Mr. Pan became mentally unstable. Practitioners Mr. Chen Lixiong and Mr. Mai Mufa went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution when guards tried to force them to write guarantee statements to renounce practising Falun Gong. Guards then force-fed both of them. -
My Two Years and Seven Months in Harbin Qianjin Forced Labour Camp
2010-10-23Ms. Gao Guofeng, a Falun Gong practitioner from Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province, was detained in the Harbin Qianjin Forced Labour Camp for two years because she wore a shirt that had three words--Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance--printed on it. While being detained, she was cruelly persecuted. Her life has been in danger twice. She recounts: "I was beaten black and blue all over my face by guards. I was tortured by being hung-up. They handcuffed me and hung me up, both of my arms stretched to the limit. I was not allowed to move or close my eyes. My arms felt sore and the handcuffs dug into my flesh. I fainted several times." -
Mr. Fan Qingjun Files Lawsuit Against Jidong Prison Guard He Xiaoqiang
2010-10-23Mr. Fan Qingjun was sentenced to seven years in prison in October 2003. He has been held at the No. 1 Division in Jidong Prison, Tangshan City, Hebei Province. Seven years of continuous persecution has caused his health to deteriorate. Prior to his imprisonment, he was in excellent health. Recently, Mr. Fan has filed a lawsuit against He Xiaoqiang, a prison guard at Jidong Prison. Mr. Fa says: "He Xiaoqiang instigated other inmates to beat, physically penalise, and abuse me on numerous occasions, which purposefully damaged my health." -
Circumstances Surrounding Ms. Zhang Chengmei's Death Due to Torture in Wangcun No. 2 Forced Labour Camp in Shandong Province

When Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang was taken to Wangcun No. 2 Women's Forced Labour Camp she was healthy and sturdy. When I saw her a little over a month later, she had become emaciated and was unrecognisable. After my release, I asked about Ms. Zhang. Later I learned that she had died in the labour camp hospital on February 6th. When her family saw her body, they noticed that her teeth were missing, and her arm was broken. When she died, she was nothing but skin and bones. The police did not allow her family to take pictures and hastily had her cremated. -
Ms. Shang Yuqin Persecuted in Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp in Changchun
2010-10-20Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Shang Yuqin was arrested three times and twice sentenced to forced labour camps since the persecution of Falun Gong began in China in 1999. She was tortured severely in Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp in Changchun. She recounts: "In the forced labour camp, we were forced to work from 6 a.m until 8 or 9 p.m. We prepared 500 boxes to be shipped by air every day and could not rest without finishing the work. We were forced to stand every two or three days, facing the wall, and were not allowed to look sideways. If we were found turning our heads, we would be beaten." -
Despite Torture, Ms. Yang Jun from Ganxu Province Remains Firm in Her Belief
2010-10-15Over the past eleven years of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong, practitioner Ms. Yang Jun has been detained in forced labour camps, where she suffered cruel torture and humiliation, both mental and physical. She recounts her experience in the labour camp: "Guards ordered drug offenders to torture me. Three of them held me to the ground and cruelly beat me. They pulled my hair, slapped my face, punched me in repeatedly in the face, and kicked me in the ribs and legs." Ms. Yang has now been forced to leave home and move from place to place to avoid arrest. -
Teacher Zhu, Everyone is Looking Forward to Your Return Home
2010-10-14I remembered my chemistry teacher, Ms. Zhu Huimin, whom I had studied with at the Wuhan First Business Vocational School. I went to visit her and she looked very excited and told me that she was practising Falun Gong. Ms. Zhu simply said that after she started practising Falun Gong, her headaches, insomnia and all other diseases disappeared. I was worried about Ms. Zhu at that time because the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was doing so many bad things, including defamation, disinformation, and attacks against Falun Gong. Ms. Zhu was handing out flyers in a shopping centre and the police had sent her to Hewan Labour Camp for a year of forced labour. -
Guizhou Women's Forced Labour Camp Uses Prisoners to Persecute Falun Gong Practitioners
2010-10-07Six prisoners called "collaborators" monitor and torture practitioners around the clock. They force practitioners to stand like soldiers, with both hands tightly touching the trousers, the body straight, and heels touching each other. Practitioners can only look forward and they are not allowed to talk or move any part of their body. If practitioners even look in another direction once, they are denigrated by the collaborators. These collaborators continuously slander Falun Gong. Some practitioners pass out during this torture. Collaborators forced practitioners to read books that slandered Falun Gong. The practitioners who refused to read the books were not allowed to use the toilet. With excrement in their trousers, they were not allowed to change clothes. -
Mr. Ma Zhiwu Recounts Eight Years of Suffering
2010-10-06The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began to persecute Falun Gong on July 20th, 1999. Because of my belief, I was detained and imprisoned in Yinchuan Detention Centre, Ningxia Forced Labour Camp, and Wuzhong Prison for eight years. I experienced the most inhuman torture imaginable during those days. I couldn't understand why good people would be detained in a place that should only be for criminals. In August 2000, I started a hunger strike to protest the persecution and demand my freedom. They poured some milk down me through a tube in my nose after the doctor gave me anaesthesia. In order to make me suffer, they inserted the tube into my nose and kept inserting and pulling it out. Some pulled my arms, some pushed my legs down, some held my head. It was so painful that I wanted to die. -
Female Practitioner from Heilongjiang Persecuted in Shiijingshan Detention Centre in Beijing
2010-10-05After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong, Ms. Wang Liqing went to Beijing to appeal for the practice. She was arrested in Tiananmen Square and detained in Beijing's Shijingshan Detention Centre for over 40 days. When she was released, she weighed barely 80 pounds. Here is an account of her experience in her own words: "I was beaten by criminal inmates and they collected cold water with a basin and poured it over me. Prison head threatened me so that I would give up Falun Gong. I was interrogated many times to obtain my address. Since I would not divulge my name and address, the investigator threatened to send me to the Eighth Male Ward to be bullied by male criminals." -
I Was Severely Tortured in Huizuizi Forced Labour Camp in Jilin Province
2010-10-04I am a 52-year-old female from Changchun City in Jilin Province. I was a high school teacher. Since practising Falun Gong, I have been detained twice, lived under supervision once, and was sentenced to one year of forced labour. During my time in Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp I was cruelly tortured. During my two years in the forced labour camp, the guards used many vicious tactics to try to force me to give up my belief. All of the practitioners who arrived new to the camp were "greeted" at the entrance door with electric shock. The guards were always armed with electric batons. They used the batons to threaten, terrorise, and shock me (among others), and I remained bedridden after suffering from a heart attack. -
Ms. Pang Yali from Jilin Province Subjected to Abuse and Torture at the Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp
2010-09-27Ms. Pang Yali, aged 53, lives in Yushu City, Jilin Province. Since she started practising Falun Gong, she has conducted herself according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and she has informed the world's people about the persecution of Falun Gong. As a result, she has been arrested, harassed, detained, and subjected to forced labour and torture by agents from the 610 Office [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong]. Ms. Pang Yali recounts her experience: "While in the labour camp, guards slapped my face because I resisted their persecution. Guard Zhang Yuxue handcuffed me and locked me down on a bed; then Hou Zhihong, shocked me on my arms, my neck, my head, and my face with an electric baton for 40 minutes. My face was swollen as a result of this torture."
