• Suzhou City 610 Office Confidential Document Exposes a Large Number of Communist Regime Agents Active in the Persecution of Falun Gong

  The 610 Office is an illegal organisation established by the Chinese communist regime specifically to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Shen Huiming, a vicious agent from the Political Office of the Taicang City Procuratorate in Jiangsu Province, was awarded by Suzhou City 610 Office as a city-level brainwashing specialist. This news has already been published on the Taicang City Procuratorate website. Another item on that website was a confidential document from the Suzhou City 610 Office, which names 29 agents who were actively involved in the persecution of Falun Gong. Marked as “confidential” the document is numbered Suzhou City 610 Office-2010-No. 46, and was issued on May 25th, 2010.

• Shandong Zhaoyuan 610 Office Refuses to Allow Falun Gong Practitioners to Hire Lawyers

  Zhaoyuan City Court recently tried seven Falun Gong practitioners. The practitioners' families hired lawyers from Beijing to defend them, but Zhaoyuan police, court officials, Procuratorate agents and those from the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) worked together to harass, intimidate, and prevent the lawyers from defending the practitioners. When one lawyer first arrived in Zhaoyuan, 610 Office personnel went to the practitioners’ village and told the village head that the lawyer was a reporter, "digging for village gossip." The 610 Office agents told the village official to send two men to the village entrance and beat up the lawyer when he showed up.

• Yangpu 610 Office Agents in Shanghai Beat Elderly Woman

  On June 25th, 2010, police officer Zhou Guangrong deceived 64-year-old Ms. Xu Xuecun into opening the door of her home. The police then went into her bedroom and twelve more people from the local 610 Office [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong] arrived. A large policeman grabbed the small elderly woman, lifted her up and threw her to the ground. When Ms. Xu hit the ground, the policeman used his hands to push and roll her body. Immediately, Ms. Xu's legs and arms started swelling. The right side of her face was swollen and her eyes were black from bruising. One of her teeth also fell out. She sustained severe internal injuries. Currently, Ms. Xu's whereabouts are unknown.

Their job is to implement the "brainwashing experience" and force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce practising Falun Gong.

• Crimes Committed by Li Fenglin, Head of the Yushu City 610 Office in Jilin Province

  Li Fenglin, head of the Yushu City 610 Office in Jilin Province, arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Chen Shujie. Police sent her to Xinglongshan brainwashing centre in Changchun. She staged a hunger strike until she was at the brink of death. Her family strongly protested. Li Fenglin told the brainwashing facility officials to release her, fearing responsibility for her death. After Ms. Chen returned home, Li Fenglin told her employer to force her to write a guarantee statement to renounce practising Falun Gong, or she would be forbidden to work.

  The 610 Office--named after the date of its creation on June 10th, 1999--is an extralegal police task force responsible for carrying out the campaign to persecute Falun Gong. Ma Shaoyu was promoted to chairman at the Yanji 610 Office in Jilin Province because he was actively involved in the persecution of Falun Gong in 2005. Ma organises one or two brainwashing sessions every year and. personally plans the arrests of Falun Gong practitioners. Over ten practitioners have died due to torture on his account.

• Three Falun Gong Practitioners Taken from Their Homes by Officers from the Linshu 610 Office in Shandong Province

  On September 29th, officers from the Linshu County 610 Office [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong] in Shandong Province broke into and ransacked the homes of three Falun Gong practitioners. The three practitioners and their property were taken away. Currently, the three practitioners' whereabouts are unknown. After Liu Yuhong, the former chief of the Linshu 610 Office, stepped down, Liu Xing became the new leader. In order to prepare for the Chinese National Day, the 610 Office stepped up its efforts to harass and arrest Falun Gong practitioners.

• Ms. Wang Min and Ms. Liu Shulan Arrested by 610 Office in Shenbei New District, Shenyang City

A recent arrest of two practitioners in Shenyang City once again reveals the evilness of the 610 Office. On September 29th, practitioners Ms. Wang Min and Ms. Liu Shulan were shopping. A group of police officers suddenly showed up and forced them into a police car. The practitioners were then taken to the Domestic Security Division, where they were subjected to an aggressive body search and were detained separately. The police locked the practitioners in metal cages.

Despite the Communist regime's posing as a modern country, the tragedy of children harming and denouncing their own parents that took place during the Cultural Revolution is sadly once again taking place in today's China. On August 13th, due to their son's direct involvement, Mr. Huang Shilin and Ms. Yang Ying were arrested on their way to a food market by police. The officials sent the couple to the Xinjin Brainwashing Centre.

  In order to prevent two lawyers from defending Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Du Liming, the Yitong County 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) instructed police officers to hold the defence attorneys in their hotel rooms and confiscate their mobile phones. On the hearing date of September 10th, three plainclothes police officers took the two lawyers to Changchun City, bought train tickets for them, and forced them to go back to Beijing.

  The 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) in Zhoukou City, Henan Province, has always used underhanded methods to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, and since late August 2010, it has begun another round of persecution. On August 31st, about seven police officers suddenly broke into the home of Ms. Li Changying, 66 years old and Sun Zhanping, 70 years old. They ransacked the home and took Falun Gong books and materials, a desktop computer, a laptop, a digital camera and both of their salary cheques. Police sent both of them to Zhoukou Detention Centre.

• Hebei 610 Office Directs the Persecution at the Laishui County Party School in Baoding City

  Four people from the Hebei 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) and the Baoding City 610 Office went to the Laishui County Party School [Party schools are used to train officials for the Chinese Communist Party] on September 15th, demanding that the intensity of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners be increased and that each county bring more practitioners to the Party school. Falun Gong practitioners from Laishui County and Yongyang County were arrested yesterday afternoon. Two people from the Baoding 610 Office are now staying in the Party school to carry out forced brainwashing.

• 610 Office Agents in Tonghua, Jilin Province Conspire to Persecute Previously Imprisoned Falun Gong Practitioners

  As the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) conspired to carry out the so-called "re-visit" of Falun Gong practitioners who have been released from imprisonment, all city or county 610 Office personnel began harassing and arresting these practitioners again. On September 10th, five men (one in police uniform, the others plain-clothed) stormed into Yin Guifen's home and ransacked it. They then forcefully dragged her into a vehicle, taking her directly to the brainwashing centre. Practitioner Liu Fengyan, 59 years old, had just came home from a forced labour camp and was again taken to Tonghua Brainwashing Centre in early September 2010.

• 610 Office of Dandong City Political and Judiciary Committee Responsible for Arresting Falun Gong Practitioners and Sending Them to Brainwashing Centres

  Officials from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) 610 Office in Dandong City, instructed police in different counties and districts to arrest Falun Gong practitioners. The police subsequently harassed practitioners and their relatives, and ordered practitioners to write a guarantee statement to renounce practising Falun Gong while threatening to arrest and send them to brainwashing centres. Arresting Falun Gong practitioners and their relatives, extorting money from them, and ransacking their homes has become a popular way of making money among Dandong 610 Office personnel. Many officials in Dandong obtained their political capital and higher positions this way. Thus, they persecute practitioners unscrupulously.
