  Later she was transferred to the Heizuizi Female Labour Camp in Changchun City, where she was forced to do slave labour and brutally tortured, both physically and mentally. She developed severe abdominal oedema and was released in July 2003. She had a constant fever after she had returned home. Xuan Honggui's husband, Zhao Yongtian, was deceived by the Jiang regime's lies and continued to abuse her. Xuan Honggui passed away in the morning of October 8, 2003.

• Death of Dafa Practitioner Mr. Zhang Xiaodong in Gansu Province Due to Torture

  He was illegally arrested and detained at the No. 1 Detention Centre in Lanzhou City for over two years, merely for clarifying the truth about Dafa. Not only that, but the enforcers had also unlawfully sentenced him to seven years in prison. During over two years of detention, he was brutally tortured and was close to death and was later sent to a clinic. He passed away on October 24th, 2003 at Kangtai Hospital.

• An Account of How Police in Qian'an City, Hebei Province Brutally Killed A Young Female Falun Dafa Practitioner

  In attempts to escape responsibility for his impending death, the labour camp authorities sent him home on September 1, 2003. At that time he could neither speak nor walk, and he shed tears in front of his family as he lay in bed. He passed away on September 21, 2003. After he died, his father who was in a critical condition was so grief stricken that his health declined drastically and he passed away on October 2, 2003.

• Eighth Practitioner Known To Have Died as a Result of Torture at Jilin Province Yinmahe Labour Camp

  On November 2, the Yinmahe Labour Camp officials notified Li Yutong's family to pick him up in order to abnegate their responsibility. When they arrived, Li's family became aware that he could no longer recognise people and his mouth was bruised from force-feeding. His family sent him to a hospital for emergency treatment. The doctor diagnosed kidney failure, and five days' emergency treatment failed to revive him. Li Yutong passed away at 1:30 p.m. on November 6, and his body was cremated on November 7, 2003.

  She soon showed symptoms of heart disease, vasculitis, etc. When her family members were finally able to see her -- after great effort -- they found her extremely thin and weak. • More About the Death of Falun Dafa Practitioner Jilin Province Ms. Li Shuhua and the Devastation of Her Family

  When the families saw her body, it did not look like she died of hunger at all. Even though her face had a lot of make-up on it and her clothes had been changed, they still could see that there were bruises on one side of her face and there was broken skin on two places on her face. One side of her skull was caved in and there were some lumps on the back of her head. Besides that, she was extremely thin. After dissecting her body, the coroners found over 5 kilograms of blood in her abdominal cavity. The blood hadn't congealed and it was still liquid. The coroner claimed that the blood was menstrual blood. Anyone with any medical knowledge would know that this was a lie intended to deceive the family. The family doubted the reason given as the cause of her death, so they wanted to take some pictures of her body. The Public Security Bureau not only refused to allow the family to take pictures of her, but also had the police watch her body until her cremation.

  Zhang Mingzhu was also one of the disciplinary guards directly responsible for the murder of another practitioner He Huajiang. Because Zhang was highly "accomplished" in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, he was promoted to Assistant Brigade Leader of Daqing City Forced Labour Camp. • Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhou Liangzhu Dies as Result of Torture at Maojiashan Female Labour Camp

  They had planned to detain her there for three years, but a physical exam at the labour camp discovered that Zhou Liangzhu could barely stand up. Afraid that she might die, the labour camp authorities called the local "610 Office," her work unit and her family to take her home on December 12, 2002. Because the injuries she sustained from the brutal tortures at the camp and at brainwashing class were too severe, sadly Zhou Liangzhu was never able to recover, and passed away at 11:20 p.m. on October 17, 2003.   On October 16, 2003, Lu Xingguo's wife, daughter, and elder brother were suddenly summoned to the Qingpu Drug Rehabilitation Centre. As soon as they arrived there, they were separated and sent to different rooms where dozens of police conducted a so-called "talk" with them, when in fact, the police were intimidating them. Only then did the family learn that Lu Xingguo had died. Yet the callous police deceived the family by claiming that he died of some illness. They did not allow the family to check the body.

• Practitioner Ms Lu Xiufang Callously Released from Jinan Women's Prison only To Die Two Hours Later at Home

  Ms. Lu Xiufang was very determined in continuing her cultivating in Falun Dafa despite the torture she suffered at the hands of the police. On July 21, 2003 Ms. Lu was barely breathing when she was brought home from the Jinan Women's Prison. According to a reliable source, her whole body, including her head, was terribly swollen, and she was covered with injuries. She could not stand or sit on her own and she was a terrible sight to behold. She sadly died within less than two hours after arriving at home.
