  It was later confirmed that Meng Jincheng died the same day. That night, the captain of the labour camp did not go home. The second day (the 8th) was a visitation day. Chen Fu cooked up a document claiming that Meng Jincheng died of a certain illness. Later Meng Jincheng's body was cremated before his family could get a chance to take a look at it. After cremation, the corrupt labour camp even asked his family to pay 20,000 Yuan for his medical expenses.

He said that Zheng Libo died of sickness, but he refused to explain how she could have died of sickness only two days after being brought to the Police Station. When she tried to escape from her sixth floor window by sliding down on a long strip of cloth, she tragically fell to the ground and died.

  Because he refused to submit to the evil authorities, he was brutally tortured at the camp. As a result, he developed scabies all over his body, from his neck to his ankles. He was so emaciated that he couldn't even sit straight. The police forced all practitioners, including Zhou Jingsen, to sit during the day, not allowing them to make any move. Oftentimes Zhou Jingsen fell and other people had to get him up. Even so, the police still wouldn't release him.

He was arrested by policemen Yang Zhigang and Li Jingfeng from the police squad in October 2002 when he was printing truth-clarifying materials. A policeman in the Wanbolin Police Station confirmed Hou Lijun's detention. He said nobody was allowed to visit Hou. "We never allow anyone to visit the detainee in such cases.
