  • My Memories of Practitioner Ms. Lin Tiemei from Guangxi Autonomous Region

    Several "collaborators" tried to "transform" Ms. Lin, but she resisted it with a strong will. From then on, the police tried everything to torture Ms. Lin both mentally and physically. They attempted to make her give up Falun Dafa through the following brutal methods: shocking her for an extended duration with electric batons, suspending her in the air to beat her, not letting her use the toilet, instigating the inmates who were drug addicts to beat her, and depriving her of sleep for a long time. None of these tortures could move Lin Tiemei. For a very long period of time, Ms. Lin was on a hunger strike to resist the persecution. The guards brutally force-fed her, causing her mouth to bleed. On December 8th, 2005, she died from the persecution at the Guangxi Women's Forced Labour Camp and Mental Hospital. Lin Tiemei was only 33 years old.
  • Ms. Mao Chunxia from Luoyang City, Henan Province Suffers Relentless Persecution; Her Father Dies from Trauma

    For refusing to renounce Falun Gong, Ms. Mao Chunxia was sent to a forced labour camp in 2000, where she suffered severe abuse. On December 23rd, 2006, the police officers from the National Security Team of the Chanhe District Police Department in Luoyang City forcefully ransacked her home and arrested her. They detained Mao Chunxia for 15 days at first. Afterwards, they changed the detention term to a criminal detention term and planned to send her to a labour camp again. However, she escaped on the day her initial 15-day term expired. Nobody has known her whereabouts since then. The National Security Team police officers in the Chanhe District Police Department frequently harassed her family members. Her father could not bear the constant pressure. As a result, he fell ill and died on February 7th, 2007.
  • Exposing the Evil Deeds of Perpetrator Sun Haibo from Changyi City, Shandong Province

    Sun Haibo used a leather belt to savagely beat female practitioners. The feet of some practitioners were swollen severely and bruised as a result, and they were not able to put shoes on. Sun Haibo instigated inmates to handcuff a female practitioner and ordered one inmate to pin her down and another to insert a big plastic tube (not the kind used in hospitals, and not disinfected at all) into her mouth. They then put a funnel-like gadget on the other end of the tube and poured food in. Some practitioners vomited mouthfuls of blood during these brutal forced-feeding sessions. Sun didn't even spare elderly or young practitioners from this torture. Sun Haibo also stole money and property from practitioners and took it as her own.
  • Criminal Prisoners Incited to Brutally Torture Ms. Liu Dan in Heilongjiang Province Women's Forced Labour Camp

    Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Dan is 29 years old and from Jixi City in Heilongjiang Province. She was arrested and sent to Heilongjiang Province Women's Forced Labour Camp on March 1st, 2006. At one time she went on a hunger strike for several months. On October 3rd, 2006, criminal inmate monitor Han Ying beat her brutally, so she went on a third hunger strike. She has resisted the persecution and suffered brutal torture at the hands of criminal inmates. Ms. Liu is now extremely thin and weak.
  • Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Li Enying Died from Torture - His Family Placed Under Surveillance for Seeking Justice

    Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Enying passed away on July 29th, 2007, after being tortured at the Shijiazhuang Forced Labour Camp. His family spotted large bruises on his back and behind his ears and called the police after failing to identify the cause of death. When they went to the Tanghai County Police Department and demanded an explanation, the police were quite afraid. They tried to evade responsibility and sent officers to watch Li Enying's family near their home.
  • The Ms. Su Kezhen I Knew

    Ms. Su Kezhen, a Falun Dafa practitioner was arrested multiple times during the recent years of the persecution of Falun Gong. In the Wuhan Women's Prison, she was subjected to various types of torture and many of her teeth were knocked out. On a number of occasions the severe, brutal nature of the torture rendered her unconscious and she had to be carried home by her family. Under constant harassment and threats, she passed away on May 24th, 2007.

    On September 6th, 2001, Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Xinglei was tortured to death by officers of the Yanggu County Police Station in Liaocheng City. Before his body temperature completely dropped, he was sent to the People's Hospital of Yanggu County for an autopsy. Officials at Yanggu County Police Station lied to his family, saying that Wang Xinglei died from a hunger strike. His family was not allowed to touch his body. His body was immediately cremated.

    At around 10:00 a.m. on July 13th, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Sha Naiyi was arrested and taken from his workplace to the Liangjazi Town Police Station by two policemen who didn't provide any legal documents. Mr. Sha worked at the Honggang Oil Extraction Factory at Jilin Oilfield. Later that day, the police sent Sha to the National Security Team at the Da'an City Public Security Bureau. At about 2:00 p.m on July 14th, 2007, Sha died while in police custody.
  • Living Conditions of the Nearly Three Hundred Practitioners Still Detained in the Shandong Province Women's Prison

    At the northeastern corner of the intersection of Gongyenan Street and Huaxin Street in the Licheng District, Jinan City, Shandong Province, there are a group of white buildings behind a high wall covered with barbed wire on top. Along the wall there are watchtowers, one after another, a short distance apart with fully armed police on patrol. The Shandong Province Women's Prison is where nearly three hundred Falun Gong practitioners are currently being detained.
  • Exposing the Persecution in Temporary Female Unit at the Mudanjiang Forced Labour Camp in Heilongjiang Province

    The temporary female unit of Mudanjiang Forced Labour Camp in Heilongjiang Province is located at the west side of Sidao Village and is surrounded by high walls with electric barbwires on top. Beginning in June 2000, female Falun Gong practitioners were detained on the third level of the north building. The forced labour camp specifically purchased 20 "iron chairs", wide tape, shackles and other apparatuses for use to torture practitioners. Ms. Sheng Jin'e was detained in the Sidao Forced Labour Camp. After enduring three and a half years of torture and two months of being on a hunger strike, the forced labour camp sent her home in May of 2005. Ms. Sheng died on November 5th, 2006 at the age of 45.

    Under the Chinese Communist Party's policy of bankrupting Falun Dafa practitioners financially, the police officers in China have turned arresting practitioners into a moneymaking operation. Not long ago, police officers in Shulan City, Liaoning Province arrested practitioner Mr. Zhang Xingju and his neighbour, an old lady who upholds justice, and fined them a total of 900 yuan after failing to extort 5,000 yuan from Mr. Zhang.
  • Persecution Methods Used by Labour Camps in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province

    All Dafa practitioners who are sent to the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Centre, no matter what time they arrive, will be sent for inspection, have their hair cut, and immediately be summoned for interrogation until late at night. On the second day, practitioners would be awakened very early and labour camp personnel would talk to them, trying to use both hard and soft-handed approaches. The soft-handed approaches would be to use sentiments to confuse practitioners. If it failed, they would start bombarding practitioners with persuasion, indoctrination, and scoldings.
  • Practitioners Sentenced to Wangcun Forced Labour Camp in Shandong Province - Visiting Rights Denied

    On July 17th, 2007, practitioner Ms. Dai Zongzhen's relatives went to Wangcun Forced Labour Camp to visit Ms. Dai, her daughter, and Ms. Dai's brother. They asked the authorities to release the three Falun Gong practitioners unconditionally. But the guards refused to allow them to meet the detained practitioners with the excuse that they didn't bring all the required documents. They were told that they have to bring their personal identification, Permanent Resident Booklet, and a document signed by their local police. They were also told that only non-practitioner relatives would be allowed to meet with their detained relatives.
  • Shibalihe Women's Forced Labour Camp in Henan Province Imprisons and Persecutes Falun Dafa Practitioners

    Since early June of 2007, the Shibalihe Women's Forced Labour Camp in Henan Province has imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners who refused to give up their beliefs. The practitioners were closely watched during mealtimes. Some were forced to hand copy ten sheets of writings required by policewoman Jia Meili, or they locked in confinement 24 hours a day and not allowed to even receive food. They were also not allowed to sleep until midnight or 2 a.m.
  • College Junior Zhang Kai Sentenced to Three-Year Prison Term

    In late April 2007, police arrested 21-year-old student, Mr. Zhang Kai, a Falun Dafa practitioner, and sentenced him to three years in prison simply because of an article on the Internet. We are unaware of any law that defines Internet articles that students are not permitted to publish. Police had earlier arrested Mr. Zhang's mother and sent her to a forced labour camp after a plainclothes agent reported her for distributing leaflets exposing the persecution. The details of her persecution soon appeared on the Internet. The police found a computer while they were at Mr. Zhang's home. Because the computer belonged to Mr. Zhang, they went to the University of International Trade in Qingdao City and arrested him.
