"My name is Tiantian and I'm seven years old. One day in September 1999 some policemen broke into my home and forced my mum and dad into a police van. Mum held me tightly in her arms. At the time I was only ten months old. The policemen wouldn't let us go home and they detained the three of us in a deserted building. Every day there were four guards watching over us in shifts. How terrible and cold that broken building was! Another time policemen dragged my mum from home and took her away. The policemen dragged me from her, and I desperately cried, "Mum!" I was so scared and I didn't want to leave her." -
Details on the Persecution of Practitioners at Wuyuan Forced Labour Camp in Inner Mongolia
2006-10-12Besides using forced labour to torture practitioners, they also force practitioners to attend "brainwashing sessions," where they use despicable, underhanded methods to persecute practitioners. Information about these crimes is tightly sealed, and even regular criminals or non-participating guards do not know what goes on inside. The more-than twenty practitioners imprisoned there are subjected to both physical and psychological tortures that are inhumane beyond words. They have been beaten with electric batons after midnight so that their cries and shouts are not heard. The guards handcuff the practitioner, put a motorcycle helmet on his head, and then shock him with several electric batons. -
A Mother Goes to Visit her Son in Prison for Three Years but is Denied - Only For Him to Be Secretly Transferred by the 610 Office on His Release
2006-10-12During the three years of her son's prison detention Mr. Wu Zhiqiang's mother never gave up appealing for her son. On every family visiting day, she would arrive at the prison in the early morning and ask to meet her son. However, she was never allowed to see him until he was released. After his release on August 3rd, 2006, the director of the 610 Office Xie Guanchang, led a group of people to abduct Mr. Wu. He was sent directly to a brainwashing session for further persecution. -
Exposing the Torture of Practitioners in Hunan Province Women's Prison
2006-10-12I have been detained in Hunan Province Women's Prison due to my belief in Falun Dafa. Practitioners are locked in solitary confinement for reading Falun Dafa articles, or doing the exercises, and their hands are cuffed behind their backs, with one arm over the shoulder. Sometimes their feet and hands are cuffed together. Guards with electric batons shock practitioners, or hang them from their handcuffed wrists, only allowing the tips of their toes to touch the floor. The solitary confinement cell is very small, and practitioners must eat, drink and go to the toilet in the cell. -
The Persecution Tore Apart My Family
2006-10-12In Guizhou's Zhongba forced labour camp, Falun Gong practitioners are forced to perform slave labour for long periods of time. Food rations are poor quality and scanty. Imprisoned practitioners work from 8:00 a.m until 3:00 a.m. the next morning. Sometimes, practitioners have to work all night, and the same routine continues the next day. All this time, prison guards and inmates constantly beat practitioners. The extended work hours and prolonged sleep deprivation damaged my brain. Now, whenever I think hard, I feel dizzy and get a headache. -
18-Year-Old Girl Sentenced to Three years in Prison for Appealing for Her Father
2006-10-1118-year-old Zhu Xiuyun was working outside of her hometown and heard news that her father, practitioner Mr. Zhu Yanghe, was arrested, and sentenced to prison and that her home was raided. She could not understand why all of this took place. On August 19th, 2006, Zhu Xiuyun went to the county courthouse with an appeal letter. The courthouse contacted the head of the county 610 Office, Li Shilin, who called the county police station. Over ten police officers showed up and arrested the young girl without any documentation or just cause. She was sentenced to three years in Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison. -
Authorities of Shandong Province Viciously Persecute Practitioner Mr. Gai Guangqi
2006-10-11Mr. Gai Guangqi is a 56-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner. After becoming a practitioner, his health improved and his spirit was uplifted. After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began persecuting Dafa, Mr. Gai went many times to appeal in Beijing, speaking out in support of Dafa. As a result, he has been detained, suffered extortion and torture many times at the hands of local authorities, suffered three years of forced labour, endured brainwashing and more. -
The Tortures Practitioners Have Been Subjected to at Duyun Prison in Guizhou Province
2006-10-11In their attempt to force Falun Dafa practitioners to give up their belief, the officers at Duyun Prison use all kinds of torture methods to torment and brutalise them. They have given these methods nicknames and compiled an assortment of tortures into what they call a "menu" e.g. "Stir-Fry Kidney": One or two prisoners raise the practitioner's arms and strike at the waist and kidney area with their elbows until the victim vomits blood; "Plucking Chicken Wings" The practitioner's hands are cuffed behind the back and then he's hung from bunk beds, or the arms are stretched and cuffed between bunk beds. -
Retired Couple from Tsinghua University Sent to Forced Labour Camp; Daughter in US Pleads for Their Release
2006-10-11Falun Gong practitioners 63-year-old Mr. Fu Yong'an and 63-year-old Ms. Liu Xianglan, both retired employees from Tsinghua University in Beijing, were sentenced to forced labour camps for two years. Ms. Liu's family members were allowed to meet with her for the first time on September 11th, 2006, after she had been detained for six months. The family met with Mr. Fu once at the end of July 2006. According to the family, Mr. Fu and Ms. Liu are both now very thin. From their conversations with the couple, the family learned that the conditions at Qinghe Detention Centre are very bad. -
Persecution in the No. 9 Ward of Harbin City Women's Prison
2006-10-11Harbin City Women's Prison brainwash the practitioners under duress. Starting in the spring of 2002, they dictated that the practitioners who refused to renounce Falun Gong have to walk all the time, from spring to winter. In 2003, the different teams dragged outside female practitioners who refused to cooperate. Then male guards would torture them. They used whips and electric batons against the practitioners, in addition to punching and kicking them. In winter, they make the practitioners go outside and stay there for several days in a row. The practitioners are also forced to lie on their stomaches on piles of excrement. Some practitioners' feet and hands have become frostbitten. -
64-Year-Old Ms. Liu Xizhen from Jilin Province Persecuted to Death
2006-10-10Ms. Liu Xizhen, a 64-year-old Dafa practitioner, went to Changchun City with several dozen practitioners to appeal to the local government for the release of all arrested Falun Gong volunteer coordinators in July 1999 and was arrested. She was sent to a brainwashing centre to try to force her to renounce Falun Dafa . Later she was detained in a detention centre tortured by criminals, who urinated on them and fed unhulled, rotten corn soaked in water. Ms. Liu suffered tremendous mental pressure and lived under constant stress. At home she suffered constant break-ins, threats and extortion. On August 30th, 2006, Liu Xizhen passed away during the night. -
High School Student in Jilin Province Indicts Police for Arrest and Torture
2006-10-10On July 14th, 2006, 17-year-old high school student Zheng Yunlong, his father and his mother were taken to the Changjiang Road Police Station by eight police officers. They were interrogated and tortured to extort confessions. Police officer Li Chengbao beat Zheng Yunlong. He squeezed his mouth, punched his nose, and kicked his stomach, chest and legs. Several policemen kept kicking him while he lay on the ground and didn't allow him to sleep for 24 hours. -
Practitioners Mr. Liu Mingyue, Mr. Liu Shuhua, and Ms. Yang Shengyun from Shandong Province Suffer Persecution
2006-10-10On June 9th, 2001, Ms. Liu Shuhua was tricked into the Xiadingjia Brainwashing Centre by her work place. On June 13th, her husband was also taken there. In the brainwashing centre office workers repeatedly played audio and video tapes that slandered Falun Dafa. The detainees were also forced to reprimand Falun Dafa and to write the so-called three statements. Those who refused to write would be tortured and starved, confined in a solitary compartment, put under surveillance 24 hours-a-day, deprived of sleep, as well as physically tortured. There are tens of thousands of elderly people like Mr. Liu Mingyue and Ms. Liu Shuhua suffering from persecution in China. -
Detention Centre Doctor Values His Mobile Phone More Than the Life of a Falun Gong Practitioner
2006-10-10Because of my belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," I was arrested in 2001 and detained in a detention centre in Jilin Province. In order to regain my freedom, I started a hunger strike on the fifth day of the detention. Five or six prisoners held me down, and I could not move at all. Some of them pinched my nose and pried open my tightly closed teeth. Doctor Chen, who participated in the forced-feeding, dropped his mobile phone out of his shirt pocket into a basin of water. The doctor didn't care about my critical condition caused by the forced-feeding. He was more concerned about his mobile phone than me. He took it out of the water, cleaned it, wiped it off, and shook it. -
Information about Four Practitioners Who Died as a Result of the Persecution
2006-10-10Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Gu Bengen, 59, quickly recovered from all of his illnesses since practising Falun Dafa. Mr. Gu was forcibly taken to a brainwashing centre for five months. During this five-month period, Mr. Gu's salary and bonus were withheld for six months, and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials extorted 30,000 yuan from him. He was constantly harassed by officials. They either went to his home or called him on the phone, which severely interfered with his practising Falun Dafa. As a result of the relentless persecution, Gu Bengen died on September 1st, 2006.
