Ms. Dong Jingya on Hunger Strike for Over Six Months

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Dong Jingya from Shenyang City has been on hunger strike in the 1st division of Masanjia Forced Labour Camp for more than 6 months. She once had such symptoms as a "reverse-flow" stomach, vomiting, blurry vision, kidney failure, shortage of blood in her cardiac muscle, and so on. The Police Chief from the 1st division, said on the telephone on October 13th, "Nobody is allowed to see her. They also claimed that Ms. Dong had been regularly force-fed. -
Older Practitioner Mr. Li Wenxiang of Hunan Province Died as a Result of Persecution
2005-11-0155-year-old Mr. Li Wenxiang was brutally persecuted several times. In June, 2003 he was "illegally arrested" and taken to a detention centre after spending two years in a forced labour camp. He was close to death while he was there. On August 20th, 2003 his family members finally saw him. Mr. Li was emaciated. His body was swollen, and he could barely walk. Later blood clots were found in his brain and he was released for medical treatment. He was fired by his employer, and his wife was forced to divorce him. He died at 6:00 p.m. on October 17th, 2005. -
Police Torture Renders Daqing City Practitioner Ms. Tang Zengye Critically Ill
2005-11-01Daqing City Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Tang Zengye was arrested on September 23rd, 2005, and is currently being held in police custody at Daqing Detention Centre. She has vomited blood due to the torture she suffered. Since Tang Zengye's arrest, policemen have tortured her, confined her to a metal chair, and cuffed her hands and feet to hoops so that she could not move. The police also cruelly beat her and incited prisoners to beat her. They barbarically force-feed her daily, while prisoners slap her face and smash her head against a metal basin. -
Five Falun Gong Practitioners from Shandong, Liaoning and Hubei Provinces Were Persecuted to Death
2005-11-01Mr. Chen Sanqiang was a 39-year-old practitioner from Hubei Province. After July 20th, 1999, he continued performing the five exercises outdoors, since he truly believed Falun Dafa is good. He was detained three times and severely tortured each time. Once he was beaten until he lost consciousness and then drenched in cold water to be revived. The continual torture caused him to suffer a physical and mental breakdown, and his liver was damaged. After he returned home, he continued living under ongoing fear. Later he showed signs of liver ascites and died in May 2005. -
Ms. Jia Xiulan, 68, Killed in a Brainwashing Class Held at Tangshan City Textile University
2005-10-31Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Jia Xiulan was 68 years old. On August 31st, 2005, she was arrested by the authorities and locked in a brainwashing class held in Tangshan City Textile University. On September 4th, people heard that Ms. Jia died due to an unclear cause. Many of her family members went to ask for an explanation, and the lawless authorities then paid forty thousand yuan as compensation to her family. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Yang Xingzhe from Hebei Province Died Recently Due to Persecution
2005-10-3138-year-old Ms. Yang Xingzhe was a Falun Dafa practitioner in Hebei Province. After the persecution started on July 20th, 1999, the police often ransacked her home, extorted money from her and intimidated her. In 2001 Ms. Yang was unjustly sentenced to two years of forced labour for distributing Falun Dafa leaflets exposing the persecution and for hanging banners . She was forced to do slave labour at the Balizhuang Forced Labour Camp in Baoding City and was also subjected to beatings and brainwashing. Ms. Yang had a cerebral hemorrhage and passed away on October 14th, 2005. -
Seven Falun Dafa Practitioners from Liaoning, Jilin and Hebei Provinces Pass Away Due to Persecution
2005-10-3182-year-old Ms. Ou Mizhi previously had emphysema, tuberculosis and stomach disease. All of them were cured some time after she started practising Dafa in 1998. On July 20th, 1999, Ms. Ou set off for Beijing with the goal of appealing for Dafa. She was intercepted midway and sent back to home. Her daughter, also a Dafa practitioner, was abducted and detained many times by the authorities. The police ransacked her home numerous times. The perpetrators smashed the metal gate of her home, traumatising Ms. Ou Mizhi. She never fully recovered from the shock. Her daughter was later sentenced to four years in prison. Ms. Ou passed away on September 10th, 2005. -
High School Student Pressured to "Repent" for Exposing the Persecution about Falun Gong on an Examination Paper
2005-10-31Zhao Qiang, a 15-year-old high school student from Anhui Province, wrote the facts about the staged "self-immolation" incident on Tiananmen Square on his mid-term examination paper. As a result, the local 610 Office, police officers, and his school all persecuted him. They ransacked his home and pressurised him to repent. To escape being arrested, his mother, a Falun Gong practitioner, was forced to leave home and move from place to place. -
Tears and Blood of Dalian: The Persecution of Dafa Practitioner Ms. Sun Yan (Photos) (Part 3)
2005-10-30After enduring inhumane physical tortures and mental torment, Sun Yan still persisted in her Falun Gong practice. She was held in the Longshan Forced Labour Camp. On March 22nd, 2004, a Dafa-slandering meeting was held. One female practitioner, Gao Rongrong, refused to attend and was brutally tortured. Sun Yan tried to stop the beating. A guard immediately punched Sun Yan near the eyes. Her eyes became red and swollen and later turned black and blue. Sun Yan and Gao Rongrong were held in the same cell at the Longshan Labour Camp. Gao Rongrong's face was left disfigured when guards shocked her with electric batons. Sun Yan's face was also shocked with electric batons. -
Mr. Li Wenjun Sent to a Forced Labour Camp and Tortured, All Appeals Denied
2005-10-30In April 2004, police officers fabricated evidence against Li Wenjun and sentenced him to three years in the Jiutai City Yinmahe Forced Labour Camp. While incarcerated, Li repeatedly went on hunger strike to protest the persecution. His health was severely damaged as a result. Although his elderly family has approached the justice department to request freedom for Li Wenjun, the justice department and the government organisations keep shirking their responsibility and endlessly shift the responsibility to each other. -
How Are the Political and Judiciary Committee and 610 Office in Laizhou City Building a "Harmonious Society"?
2005-10-30Mr. Zhao Facheng and Ms. Ren Zhifang, Falun Dafa practitioners were arrested and detained by the 610 Office for distributing leaflets exposing the persecution on May 4th, 2005. During their detention, the 610 personnel interrogated them many times to find out their source of leaflets. Ms. Ren was detained for as long as three months and was persecuted both physically and spiritually. In early August 2005, she had a distended abdomen. The Chinese Communist Party and Jiang Zemin's regime recklessly violate human rights and persecute kind Falun Gong practitioners. At the same time, they lie to the general public, saying that they will build a so-called "harmonious society." -
Products Made With Slave Labour - Colourful Lanterns at the Zhongba Forced Labour Camp in Guizhou Province
2005-10-30There are seven brigades at the Zhongba Forced Labour Camp, each of which makes slave labour products. "Slave labour" here refers to the fact that the guards in the labour camp use brutality to force the prisoners to manufacture products under adverse conditions. At present, the slave labour products made in the Zhongba Forced Labour Camp include polished man-made crystal gems, various kinds of colourful lanterns, and electronic products. Prisoners must work about 16 hours every day. Those not completing their production tasks receive various kinds of corporal punishments, are subjected to barbaric torture, or have their terms in the labour camp extended. -
Mr. Zhang Xiangfu Dies As a Result of Torture in the Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp
2005-10-29Mr. Fang Xiangfu was a 33-year-old practitioner from Heilongjiang Province. Police arrested and tortured him many times because he practised Falun Gong. In 2002, police and 610 Office sent him to Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp, where guards tortured him, using over 20 torture methods. As a result, seven ribs and chest bones were broken, his skull was injured and the backs of his hands were scorched. The guards invented a torture to increase his suffering. They shot needles from a homemade gun at practitioners. The needles went deep into the flesh and caused excruciating pain. As a result of the brutal torture, Mr. Zhang died on October 15th, 2005. -
Four Dafa Practitioners from Heilongjiang and Henan Provinces Pass Away As A Result of Persecution
2005-10-29Ms. Bao Yuzhen was 66 years old. After the persecution began in 1999, together with her daughter and son-in-law, she went out to appeal and tell people the truth about Falun Dafa. They were stopped by police at the bus station and sent back. Ms. Bao escaped, but her son-in-law was captured. Afterwards, her son-in-law was arrested twice consecutively and was held in jail longer than the law allowed. Ms. Bao's body and mind suffered tremendously. Her diabetes recurred, and she suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. After witnessing the thug-like conduct of the police, living in extreme fear for a prolonged period of time, and suffering from the loneliness of a broken family, Ms. Bao passed away in the winter of 2002. -
Severe Persecution Cases of Several Women Practitioners in the Wangcun Forced Labour Camp in Shandong Province
2005-10-29Ms. Li Ping is over 50 years old and was sentenced to forced labour on September 30th, 2004. She suffered unimaginable tortures at that camp for assertively refusing to give up Falun Dafa. In a one-month period, Ms. Li was permitted only three nights' sleep. During the daytime she was forced to sit on a small backless stool and at night she was punished by having to stand for long hours. Because of long-term lack of sleep she frequently fell down while standing, often injuring her face and head. After long-term physical torture and extreme pressure and mental torment from threats and intimidation, Li Ping suffered a mental collapse. Now she keeps saying, "What crime have I committed? All I did is just practise qigong."
