Masanjia Forced Labour Camp Has Thrown Female Practitioners into Cells with Male Criminals at Least Three Times

"I am a Falun Gong practitioner who has been held in Masanjia Forced Labour Camp many times. When I was at home, I learned that many people knew about the 18 female practitioners imprisoned at Masanjia who were stripped of their clothing and thrown into male criminal cells. That case was widely publicised. But it did not just happen once; it happened at least three times. At another time, the police took ten female practitioners to Zhangshi Training House. They stripped nine of the ten practitioners and threw them into a cell with men. Another time they stripped four female practitioners and forced them into the men's cells." -
The Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners at the Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp in Changchun City, Part 1
2005-10-28To destroy people's will, the Chaoyangou Forced Labour Camp has tortured kind people in the most vicious ways, making it the chief place in the province for the violation of human rights. Details of methods of abuse and mistreatment include inciting prisoners by means of rewards and promises of reduction of their prison terms if they openly beat practitioners. They also include using torture, recklessly maltreating practitioners, forcing practitioners to work beyond their capacities, long-term sleep deprivation and forcing practitioners to write a guarantee statement to give up their belief. -
Over 50 Ms Zhao Huiru from Shenyang Dies as a Result of Persecution
2005-10-28Falun Dafa practitioner Zhao Huiru, who was in her 50s, was repeatedly subjected to illegal detainment and torture. As a result of the beatings one of Zhao Huiru's fingers on her right hand was broken, large locks of her hair were pulled out, her clothing was soaked with blood and she couldn't walk. After a few months of treatment in the hospital she was taken home by her family. By that time, her hair had turned completely white. The torture caused her to not be able to walk normally, to not be able to focus her eyes, drool constantly and become absent minded. She passed away on September 7th, 2005. -
610 Office Has Falun Gong Practitioners Tortured at Shengli Oil Field Hospital's Mental Illness Department
2005-10-28At the Shengli Hospital some staff members have used the mental illness department to torture Falun Gong practitioners over the past six years. The medical staff at the mental illness department falsely diagnosed practitioners as having mental problems, and then put them together with real mental patients and subjected them to "treatment." Using medication to torture practitioners, they hope to "transform" them into real mental patients. These doctors forced practitioners to wear white clothes and white hats while some nurses forced them to take drugs and receive injections every day. They wanted to destroy practitioners' bodies with the unidentified drugs. -
Three Falun Dafa Practitioners in Sichuan and Henan Provinces Die Due to Persecution
2005-10-2850-year-old Ms. Liu Renshu lived in Sichuan Province. In July 2000, police ransacked her home, detained her for more than fifty days because they found a copy of the Falun Dafa book Zhuan Falun, and extorted three thousand yuan from her. Later, police and lawless officials continually harassed her at home, threatened her, and caused huge mental and physical pressure. She died on January 2nd, 2003. -
A Mother Dies Alone While Her Son is in Prison
2005-10-27We heard in April 2005 that Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Huzhe from Jilin Province was tortured until he was very weak and could not take care of himself. In the middle of September, Mr. Li's over seventy year old mother wept a lot because she missed her son and because she was blind she could not go visit him. She died in her home. Her decomposed body was found many days later, with her fists clenched tight. It was a tragic scene, as it was obvious that she died in great pain. -
Mr. Wang Shaoqing from Shandong Province Died After Being Tortured in Mental Hospital
2005-10-2742-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Shaoqing was tortured in the Wangcun Labour Camp for two years. Falun Dafa practitioners were forced to get up early in the morning at around 5:30 a.m., and had to labour until 10 p.m., except for meal times, which were as short as a little over ten minutes. Mr. Wang Shaoqing protested and requested the authorities to reduce the labour time and improve the living conditions. As a result, prison guards handcuffed him, hung him up by the handcuffs, and tried to force him to "admit his mistakes." He was arrested again and tortured in a mental hospital for a year. It caused him to have a nervous breakdown, and he died in July 2005. -
Three Falun Dafa Practitioners in Jilin and Liaoning Provinces Die as a Result of Persecution
2005-10-27Ms. Zhao Shufen, 55, was a Falun Dafa practitioner from Liaoning Province. She learned Falun Dafa in 1997. She used to have high blood pressure and could not take care of herself, but was cured after cultivating Falun Dafa. She went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong after the illegal persecution started in 1999. She was detained in the Shenyang City Detention Centre, and later was detained in the Dongguan Township Police Station. She was constantly harassed by the authorities, placing huge mental pressure on her. She died on September 10th, 2005. -
Four Falun Dafa Practitioners in Hunan, Hebei, and Shandong Provinces Died Due to Persecution
2005-10-2766-year-old Mr. Liu Chunqing was a Falun Dafa practitioner from a village in Shandong Province. In 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong and to tell the facts of Falun Dafa to people who had been misled by the government propaganda. The authorities detained him for a month and subjected him to various methods of torture, knocking his teeth out in the process. They extorted 2,000 yuan from him before releasing him on bail. The police arrested Mr. Liu on many subsequent occasions and ransacked his home. He was forced to endure constant humiliation and eventually died as a result of the persecution on July 12th, 2003. -
Methods Used to Persecute Practitioners at Tuanhe Forced Labour Camp in Beijing
2005-10-26Tuanhe Forced Labour Camp in Beijing is notorious for its brutality and hypocrisy. Many cruel means have been used to persecute practitioners over the past several years, in efforts to "transform1" them. To the public, it claimed that its "education" style was "like life-giving spring breezes and showers." This so-called "education" is in fact a retinue of cruel torture and brainwashing. Authorities at Tuanhe use inmate "helpers," "enduring eagle" (sleep deprivation), threats, physical abuse, enforced sitting, hard labour, and other methods to persecute practitioners to get them to recant their beliefs. -
Qi Mingli Arrested on the Day Before His Wedding
2005-10-26On May 1st, 2004, the day before his wedding, Mr. Qi Mingli was arrested and sent to the Jinzhou City Detention Centre. More than ten days later, agents were still torturing Qi, even though he was extremely weak and his life was in danger. They also took him to a Brainwashing Centre, but Mr. Qi was rejected by the centre because of his poor physical condition. He then went to hospital but was transferred to a forced labour camp when his condition improved. For more than a year, his family members were not allowed to visit him until very recently. He had scabies on his body, swollen face, and vision so poor that he could not identify people. -
Four Practitioners from Liaoning, Shandong, and Sichuan Provinces Who Died as a Result of the Persecution of Falun Gong
2005-10-2662-year-old Ms. Wang Fengqin was a retired worker from Liaoning Province. Ms. Wang had gone to Beijing twice to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong and to spread the truth about the persecution. She was arrested several times, sent to labour camps, and forced to attend brainwashing classes. During her final detention, Ms. Wang became extremely weak as a result of the torture, and she had to be released on parole. She died during July 2005. -
Beijing Dafa Practitioner Mr Liu Yongwang Has Again Been Detained and His Life Is in Danger
2005-10-26Mr. Liu Yongwang has been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution since he was once again detained on August 24th, 2005 in a detention centre. The police have force-fed him every day to torture him and his life is in danger. Currently he has to rely on other people's support in order to walk. His legs, which had been disabled due to prior police abuse, started to ache again throughout the night. We urgently ask everyone to help Liu Yongwang. We hope that international organisations will investigate this case and help to free Mr. Liu immediately. -
The 610 Office in Shandong Province Persecutes Practitioners During the National Holiday
2005-10-25Days before China's National Day, October 1st, 2005, the 610 Office in Mengyin County, Shandong Province posted slogans that read "oppose cults, maintain stability, promote progress" and printed a coloured pamphlet entitled "Achievements of Chinese Communist Party's Mengyin County 610 Office." Several hundred copies were printed by the 610 Office and the local police. This pamphlet bragged about the 610 Office's "political achievements" in persecuting Falun Gong since July 20th, 1999. -
Female Falun Gong Practitioners Sexually Abused in Dalian Forced Labour Camp
2005-10-25"The police officers in Dalian Forced Labour Camp instructed the criminal detainees to torture female practitioners by abusing them sexually. The criminal inmates were ordered to strip off the female practitioner's clothes, cuff their hands and feet spread eagle. Then they stuffed pepper into their genitals, inserted mop handles into their genitals, or pushed three tooth brushes tied together in three different directions into their genitals and rotated them for a long time."
