  • Judge in Shanghai's New Pudong District Court Refuses to Allow Dafa Practitioner Mr. Zeng Aihua's Lawyer to Review Case Files

    On January 20th, under instructions from the 610 Office, the New Pudong District People's Court in Shanghai City openly broke the law and refused Mr. Zeng Aihua's lawyer the right to look up his case files, which caused his lawyer to be unable to prepare his defence. Mr. Zeng is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Hong Kong and was unjustly charged. The judge in charge of his case also refused to answer phone calls from Zeng Aihua's lawyer and family members.
  • Three Falun Gong Practitioners from Beijing, Hebei Province and Liaoning Province Died as a Result of Persecution

    Ms. Guo Jianju, 56, was detained and subjected to persecution several times because she persisted in doing Falun Gong exercises outdoors after the persecution began on July 20th, 1999. On April 18th, 2000, she was sentenced to one year of imprisonment in a forced labour camp. On October 28th, 2002, police arrested her again and she was sentenced to two and a half years in a forced labour camp, where sustained physical injuries. The long period of suffering finally caused her mental collapse. She died on November 26th, 2006.
  • Three Practitioners Arrested on the Jinan City Railway and Sentenced to Forced Labour

    Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Wang Yingwei, Ms. Li Guang, Ms. Li Xiaoyan and Ms. Zhou Yingchun were arrested on the evening of December 13th, 2006 by the chief of the Jinzhou City Railway Policemen Department, when they spoke out for justice and explained the facts about Falun Dafa to passengers on the train. They were detained at Jinan City Railway Detention Centre for about a month. At present, Ms. Li Guang has been sentenced to two years of forced labour, Ms. Li Xiaoyan sentenced to eighteen months , and Ms. Zhou Yingchun has been sentenced to two years. They are being detained in Shandong Province, at the First Women's Labour Camp.
  • Ms. Zheng Shangbi in Sichuan Province Persecuted for Practising Falun Gong

    Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zheng Shangbi has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) since July 20th, 1999. During the past seven years, she was arrested three times and detained in a detention centre, labour camp and often tortured. Her home has been raided several times. Her Falun Gong books and personal belongings were stolen. Her family was often harassed and threatened and lives in great fear everyday.
  • The Persecution of Ms. Li Xiuling, a Practitioner from Shulan City, Jilin Province

    On December 7th, 2000, six police searched my vending stall. They took away a Dafa book and sent me to the Heizuizi Labour Camp in Changchun City, where I was held for one year. In the labour camp, I experienced inhuman torture. Every day I was forced to do hard labour for 16 hours. Because of that, my eyesight became drastically worse. In the labour camp, I witnessed the police torturing Li Shixia. Police used several electric batons to shock her simultaneously. As a result, her neck was swollen to become as thick as her head was round, and later had severe ulcers.
  • Corrupt Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Officials in Xinjiang Autonomous Region Attempt to Sentence Dafa Practitioners Ms. Wang Junhua and Mr. Zhang Zhiming to 10 Years in Prison

    Dafa practitioners Ms. Wang Junhua and Mr. Zhang Zhiming from Tianshui City, Gansu Province have been detained for one year in Hutubi County, Xinjiang Autonomous Region. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) authorities are attempting to sentence them to 10 years in prison. Ms. Wang Junhua was reported for distributing out Dafa leaflets exposing the persecution and arrested. The police extorted over 10,000 yuan from her. Mr. Zhang Zhiming was searched by a policeman while walking on the street and because he had Dafa leaflets with him, he was arrested and tortured by the police. The police also stole 10,000 yuan from his bank account.
  • Three Practitioners from Beijing, Weifang, and Tangshan Died as a Result of Persecution

    Practitioners Ms. Shao Yan and her husband firmly believed in Falun Gong and therefore were forced to become homeless. They then were arrested and Ms. Shao was sentenced to forced labour. Her husband, Li Wendong, was sent to a hospital because he had suffered long term torture. As a result, he was bedridden due to paralysis and even lost his memory. Ms. Shao Yan died on December 31st, 2006, due to long-term inhuman tortures.
  • Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Liu Hongwei on Hunger Strike at Jilin City Detention Centre

    On October 24th, 2006, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Hongwei and his wife Mu Ping were arrested by National Security personnel. Afterwards, their home was ransacked and property such as their computer, cash, a 70,000 yuan bankbook, Dafa books, VCDs exposing the persecution, and other items were confiscated. On October 25th, Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Liu Hongwei and Ms. Mu Ping were imprisoned at the Jilin Municipal Detention Centre. Liu Hongwei and Mu Ping have been imprisoned in the detention centre respectively, for two and a half months. It is known that Mr. Liu has been on a hunger strike at the detention centre to resist this persecution.
  • Former Traffic Police Chief in Jilin Province Persecuted for Advising People to Quit the Chinese Communist Party

    Mr Shao Ligui is a former chief of police from the Fusong County Traffic Police Division. In his work, he followed "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." He never took any bribes, was very responsible, and treated people with kindness. He was a really good policeman. Being the chief of police, he helped people quit the CCP. On November 25th, 2006, Shao Ligui exposed the lies spread by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), explained the facts about Falun Dafa, and asked people to quit the CCP at Jinshan Forestry Farm of Linjiang Forestry Public Security Bureau. He was arrested however. He is currently detained at the Linjiang Forestry Bureau Detention Centre.
  • Police Officers from Changchun City, Jilin Province are Responsible for Ms. Luo Shuchun's Death

    On December 13th, 2006, officers from Qinghe Street Police Station, Chaoyang Branch of the Changchun City Public Security Bureau broke into the home of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Luo Shuchun. Immediately after, Ms. Luo's body flew out of the building and she died. The police are directly responsible for Ms. Luo's death. Yet, after Ms. Luo died, the police claimed that she had committed suicide and completely denied any responsibility. Meanwhile, they ransacked her home and took photographs.
  • Dafa Practitioner Liu Yongwang’s Life is in Imminent Danger Due to Inhuman Abuse at Jidong Prison in Tangshan, Hebei Province

    Beijing Dafa practitioner Liu Yongwang's life is in imminent danger at Tangshan City's Jidong Prison. Mr. Liu Yongwang has been on a hunger strike since May 24th, 2006, to protest the persecution. He’s endured daily forced feedings. Recently, he has suffered shock several times due to injuries he sustained while being force-fed. Liu Yongwang vomited after being force-fed, losing most of the contents of his stomach. He is getting thinner every day and appears to be extremely weak. His legs are numb due to torture he suffered previously, and he can’t walk or stand. He might become totally paralysed, lose consciousness, or suffer fatal shock at any time.
  • After Five Years of Torture in Prison, Ms. Shi Dengling from Guizhou Province Has Been Arrested Again by Chinese Communist Party Authorities

    Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Shi Dengling has for the past five years while imprisoned in Duyun Jail, been brutally tortured for refusing to renounce her beliefs. She was recently released in September 2006. However, on December 25th, 2006, she was arrested again by the officials from the 610 Office, the local community committee and the police station. She was taken to the Lannigou Brainwashing Centre for further persecution. Ms. Shi's young daughter and mother, who is still recovering from a serious illness, are grieving for her suffering again.
  • Experiencing First Hand the Selfless Realm of Persecuted Falun Dafa Practitioners

    In 2003, the forced labour camp tried to force us to give up Falun Dafa cultivation and ordered us to write the so-called three statements. Many practitioners refused to renounce Falun Dafa. The guards ganged up with the criminal inmates and pushed the practitioners to the concrete floor. They immobilised them using a metal bed as a torture device, handcuffed their hands behind their backs with one arm pulled over the shoulder (a torture called "carrying a sword on the back"). The handcuffs cut into the practitioners' wrists and their hands became bloody. Many practitioners almost became disabled from being handcuffed this way. To this day, some practitioners still have scars left on their wrists, evidence of the crimes committed against practitioners by the guards in the forced labour camp.
  • Exposing Abuses at Changjiu Street Police Station in Changchun City, Jilin Province

    Ms. Zang's family, with a certificate issued by the Administration of Justice stating that Ms. Zang was schizophrenic, went to the Changjiu Street Police Station and asked for her release. The case officers refused to let her go. She was sentenced to two years of forced labour on January 5th, 2007. Ms. Zang has been imprisoned in a forced labour camp three different times, and since her disease was the result of mistreatment during her imprisonment, the camp refused to accept her, which resulted in serious disagreements between the police and the labour camp.
  • Older Practitioner Ms. Hu Zhenru Arrested in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province - Her Daughter from Hong Kong Asks for Help in Rescuing Her Mother

    Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Hu Zhenru, 59, began practising Falun Dafa in 1999. She was arrested on January 14th, 2007 and taken to Nanjing City Detention Centre. As she was being arrested, her home was ransacked by seven or eight police officers. Her husband and younger daughter resisted the ransacking of their home, and condemned the police for violating the law. The police injured her husband with brutal force.
