Persecution Facts Regarding Practitioner Ms. Qiu Li from Liaoning Province
2006-08-08On the day of the Dragon Festival in 2004, while she walked on the street, Ms. Qiu was arrested for no reason and taken to the Dasha Detention Centre. Ms. Qiu was then sentenced and sent to the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp for a three-year term. During her detention in the "Strict Control Team" of the Second Women's Camp at Masanjia Forced Labour Camp, Ms. Qiu experienced inhuman torture through the programme of "general re-education." She never gave in. She is now paralysed and extremely thin due to the tortures she suffered. However, the prison administration still has no intention of releasing her so she can go home for medical treatment. Ms. Qiu's current situation is unknown. -
Three Missing Falun Dafa Practitioners
2006-08-08Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhong Yu was a teacher. In late 2001 local police and school personnel arrested Ms. Zhong and detained her at the Zhangqizhai Forced Labour Camp. There, they beat and kicked her. Police officers repeatedly lifted Ms. Zhong's thin body and hurled her to the ground. They shoved dirty socks into her mouth to prevent her from crying out. Ms. Zhong Yu was able to get loose from her handcuffs and escape from the evil place. Since then she's been forced to live a homeless life. When the police discovered that Ms. Zhong had escaped they detained her husband. -
Zhang Hongwei’s Life at Risk; Prison Management Bureau of Jilin Province Refuses to Release Him
2006-08-07Mr. Zhang Hongwei was arrested in 2001 for making leaflets exposing the persecution and was sentenced to a long jail term of 13 years. Mr. Zhang Hongwei went on a 53-day hunger strike to protest the persecution that he was facing. He was tortured with solitary confinement, tied to the "Dead man’s bed," "Big Hang-up," and savagely beaten. In the beginning of 2006, Zhang Hongwei was coughing continuously throughout the day, every day. He was diagnosed as having tuberculosis with body fluid accumulating in his chest. In March, his illness became worse. He also suffered from pleurisy, high blood pressure and heart disease. However, the prison refused him medical parole. -
60-Year-Old Mr Zhao Xifa, from Shandong Province, Was Sentenced to Seven Years and Is at Death’s Door
2006-08-07On the evening of March 19th, 2006, Zhao Xifa, around 60 years old, came home and was arrested by police officers hiding nearby. That night after 1 a.m., the police went to his home and ransacked it. His wife had already gone to bed. She was so shocked by the police breaking into their home that she fainted. The police did not care about her life-threatening situation and continued to carry out their search. Later on, the police took Zhao Xifa to the Laixi Jail and persecuted him both mentally and physically for over four months. On May 13th, the court sentenced him to seven years. Under the long-term persecution, Zhao Xifa became very sick and his whole body became swollen. -
The Persecution I Suffered at Shayang Forced Labour Camp in Hubei Province
2006-08-07On the evening of September 30th, 2003, I was sitting in meditation. Suddenly a group of policemen rushed in and arrested me and another practitioner. My husband asked, "Why are you making an arrest?" The police simply did not pay attention to him. We were transferred to Shayang Women's Forced Labour Camp. The female police guard instigated the criminals to humiliate us. They used scissors to cut our hair and forced us to stand for a long time without sleeping. On the third morning at Shayang, the criminals led me to a room and tied both of my hands behind me to a stool and inserted a metal soup spoon in my mouth. They used another metal spoon to turn in my mouth for more than an hour. They didn’t stop even when my teeth started to break off. They kept torturing me like this until I fell unconscious from the pain. -
Majialong Forced Labour Camp in Jiangxi Province Transfers Evidence of Their Crimes
2006-08-07Upon learning that a second group of the "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China" (CIPFG) was trying to go to every province and city throughout China to investigate and collect evidence of the persecution, Majialong Forced Labour Camp of Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province transferred all detained Falun Dafa practitioners from their camp to Nanchang City Forced Labour Camp. They wanted to get rid of the evidence of their crimes. The actual number of transferred Falun Gong practitioners is not known. -
Practitioner Jiao Wanhui’s Kidneys Damaged Due to Persecution, Yet the Panjin Prison Still Refuses to Release Him
2006-08-06Mr Jiao Wanhui was arrested by police while distributing Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution. The Lianshan District Court in Huludao City sentenced him to three years in prison. On June 17th, 2006, Jiao Wanhui went on a hunger strike to protest the detention. He was handcuffed to the bed. Prison guards inserted tubes into Mr. Jiao’s nose and force-fed him. The guards refused to let Jiao Wanhui’s family to visit him. According to prison guards, Mr. Jiao’s kidneys have stopped functioning. -
Elderly Shenyang Falun Gong Practitioner Gao Youlan Passed Away as a Result of Persecution
2006-08-06Since the persecution of Falun Gong was launched in July 1999, Ms. Gao Youlan and her entire family started making leaflets to tell people the facts of the persecution. On October 26th, 2000, police suddenly broke into her home, and arrested Ms. Gao, her husband and their son. The home was ransacked, and computers, printers and Falun Dafa books were confiscated. On another occasion she was sentenced to a one-year forced labour term. After her release she was very worried about the safety of her son and daughter-in-law. Her health was deteriorating. She succumbed to lung cancer, and died on May 27th, 2006 at the age of 64. -
Elderly Practitioner from Jilin Province Tells of Persecution Experience
2006-08-06I was practising in a park on February 25th, 2000, when I was arrested and taken to a detention centre. At that time, many Dafa practitioners were kept there. They were punished by being forced to stand outside in the yard in the bone-chilling wind. They stood there for more than four hours. Their coats were taken away from them. Some practitioners wore only cotton shirts, some wore long under pants and some were forced to lie down on the concrete with their legs raised up in the air. The police even poured cold water on some practitioners’ trousers, soaking them and making it even colder. Some practitioners’ skin turned purple from being whipped by policemen using plastic tubing. -
Practitioner Shao Ying, a Survivor of the 2001 Wanjia Tragedy, is Again Brutally Persecuted
2006-08-06At Chinese New Year in 2003, the police arrested Ms. Shao Ying, and she was sentenced to a 10-year term. She has been imprisoned in the Harbin Women's Prison, where she has been under continuous persecution. Many of Ms. Shao's teeth were knocked out, her legs and back have been seriously injured, and she has suffered back pain and spinal nerve pain. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Cao Dong Still Detained and Persecuted After Meeting with Vice President of European Parliament
2006-08-05Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Cao Dong and Mr. Niu Jinping met with Mr. Edward McMillan-Scott, Vice President of the European Parliament on May 21st, 2006. After Cao Dong met with Mr. Scott, he disappeared later the same day. It was learned that Chinese Communist Party (CCP) National Security agents abducted and held him at an undisclosed location. It is difficult to understand the mental pressure and physical torture Cao Dong has undergone. However, he firmly refused to cooperate with the lawless officials and refused to tell them anything. The officials are threatening to continue to detain him and throw him in prison. -
Li Guoshun Persecuted to Death, Family Members Forced to Remain Silent
2006-08-05Falun Dafa practitioner Li Guoshun was arrested and imprisoned by police on August 23rd, 2004. He went on a hunger strike to protest and was persecuted to death on October 14th, 2004. Recently, the town police chief had someone convey a message to Li Guoshun's mother that if some people came to investigate Li Guoshun's case or asked about anything related to Falun Gong, she had to reply, "I don't know." Li Guoshun died a tragic death, and he was cremated by the authorities. His family members have not seen any medical records or postmortem examination reports. So far, they have no place to appeal, and their injustice cannot be redressed. -
Persecution against Practitioners at Shaanxi Province Women's Forced Labour Camp
2006-08-05Ms Xu Lanzhen was detained and tortured in an isolated cell that was dark and damp. Wardens tried to "transform" her. As they could not force Xu Lanzhen to give up her belief, they instructed drug abusers Yan Pingping and others to beat her. The wardens on duty did not pay attention to Ms. Xu screams of pain, and they allowed the drug abusers to torture practitioners at will. Ms. Xu was forbidden to purchase daily necessities, to see family members, or to sleep, but was forced to work day and night, and only at the end of the day could she use the toilet. -
Why Was a Six-year-old Girl Detained Twice?

An Account of Jilin Province Practitioner Mr. Pan Zhaowen's Arrest and Persecution by National Security Agents
2006-08-05On December 13th, practitioner Mr. Pan Zhaowen was secretly arrested by local national security agents. After the Minghui [Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net] website reported this incident, many practitioners inside China and abroad were very concerned. Mr. Pan Zhaowen went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Failing to force Mr. Pan to renounce Dafa after exhausting their methods, the national security agents then extorted 10,000 yuan from Mr. Pan's relatives and released him before the Chinese New Year. They claimed that Mr. Pan participated in the interception of TV signals and operated an underground publishing place.
