In the beginning of June 2006, in Henan Province, Yuzhou City State Security Division Head Xia Yuxiao (male) threatened Mr. Wang Xiangshang's nephew and told him to look for his uncle Mr. Wang Xiangshang. Xia Yuxiao said that otherwise, he would be forced into early retirement. On June 19th, 2006, after being forced to leave home for six years to avoid being arrested, Mr. Wang Xiangshang collapsed in front of his door after not having any contact with home the past six years. He died without a word. -
Mr. Zhang Hongwei’s Life at Risk, Yet Prison Management Bureau of Jilin Province Refuses to Release Him
2006-07-29In 2001, Mr. Zhang Hongwei was arrested in Beijing for making materials exposing the persecution of Falun Dafa and was sentenced to a long prison term of 13 years. He was sent to the Tiebei Prison in Changchun City late in 2001. Mr. Zhang Hongwei went on a 53-day hunger strike to protest the persecution that he was facing. In March 2002, Zhang Hongwei was sent to Jilin Prison for further persecution. He was tortured with solitary confinement, tied to the "Dead man’s bed," given the "Big Hang-up," and savagely beaten. His family members appealed against the brutal torture and therefore he was taken out of solitary confinement. -
A 67-Year-Old Widow Tortured by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Officials
2006-07-29Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Lin is a 67-year-old widow who lives in a nursing home in Hebei Province. One night in May 2001, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials broke into Zhang Lin's residence and took 500 yuan in cash. Later in the evening, Zhang Lin was taken to Dongxianpo Township government. The officials handcuffed Zhang Lin to the heater radiator in the evening and forced her to spread her arms around a big tree in the daytime. They tortured her for two days. -
Ms. Zhao Qunlan from Hunan Province Is in Critical Condition Due to the Persecution
2006-07-29The family of Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhao Qunlan was not allowed to visit her until July 10th, 2006. At the visit, Ms. Zhao was helped by two people, a man and a woman, as police looked on. Her face was so distorted that her family members could barely recognise her. Her whole body was trembling. She could not stand on her own. She could not talk and could not recognise her own family members. She had no feeling in any part of her body and one of her legs was dangling. -
Remembering Falun Dafa Practitioner Wang Hongbin -- Before the Persecution Began

Wang Hongbin was physically tortured and mentally tormented at the Shijiazhuang City Forced Labour Camp. The guards ordered the inmates to burn off his fingernails from the root. The inmates would receive sentence reductions by brutally torturing Falun Gong practitioners. The labour camp authorities didn't permit his release on medical parole and only released him when his life was in danger. He passed away from long-term persecution. -
Guards at Zhuanghe Detention Centre in Liaoning Province Brutally Torture Practitioners
2006-07-28In order to seek justice for Falun Dafa, we four practitioners from Dalian City went to Beijing to appeal on February 9th, 2000. From that moment on, the local police detained and beat us. They used all kinds of methods to torture us. For example, they would make a practitioner hold one position for a long period time, which caused extreme pain in the arms, legs, and lower back. They beat practitioners with a stick that doesn’t damage the bone but is nonetheless very painful. The male practitioners were taken into an isolated room one by one. Guards kicked and badly beat them. They asked the practitioners during the beating whether they would still practise Falun Gong. -
Practitioner Mr. Qian Jinsong Suffers Life-Threatening Tortures at the Gaobeidian Detention Centre in Hebei Province
2006-07-28On June 7th, 2006, local police arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Qian Jinsong and four other practitioners in Baigou and detained in Gaobeidian Detention Centre. Police and inmates, including the police chief, tortured him savagely. Qian was injected with an unknown fluid. He felt feverish and could not sleep. On June 26th, Qian was unable to supply blood for a blood test. He then started to vomit blood and lost control over his bowels and bladder. He looked blue and was about to die. The police immediately turned the dying Qian over to his family members. -
Thirteen-Year-Old Girl Whose Father was Taken Away: "Life Is Worse Than Death!"
2006-07-28My father, Guo Changcai, has been arrested because he handed out Falun Dafa materials exposing the persecution in 2006. He was sent to the Xinkaipu Labour Camp in Changsha City with an 18-month forced labour term. Ever since my father was arrested, I have had to live with my grandmother. She is over eighty years old, very sad about my father, and her temper is getting bad. She recently became sick with a severe disease. I feel pain in my heart, because life is worse than death! I hope my dad can soon return. -
Practitioners Are Still Tortured and Killed at the Wangcun Men’s Forced Labour Camp, Shandong Province
2006-07-28After Jiang Zemin and his followers started persecuting Falun Gong practitioners on July 20th, 1999, several thousand Falun Dafa practitioners have been imprisoned at the Wangcun Forced Labour Camp for Men in Shandong Province. By order of the Chinese Communist Party and the provincial 610 Office, many practitioners were brutally tortured to death. Many other practitioners were crippled and disabled. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Zou Yuantao from Hubei Province, Died as a Result of Persecution
2006-07-27Mr. Zou Yuantao, 34, went to appeal, practised Falun Gong and distributed materials exposing the persecution, all in accordance with the law. However, he was repeatedly persecuted by Jiang Zemin's regime, unjustly detained, and brutally tortured in detention centres, mental hospitals, and labour camps. Prisoners took turns beating him. They kicked him, pulled out his hair and hit his chest with their knees. They also held his arms up like an "airplane," whipped his back with a rubber tube several inches in diameter, burned his toes with cigarettes, and smashed his hands and feet with stools. Mr. Zou Yuantao was brutally tortured in the Shayang Forced Labour Camp. After he was released in late 2005, his health did not improve and he became even weaker. He passed away on June 24th, 2006. -
Mr. Wang Shoushan is in Critical Condition Due to Persecution by Juxian 610 Office in Shandong Province
2006-07-27On March 7th, Liu Yanping, the leader of the Juxian 610 Office broke into the Juxian Xiaodianzhen People's Hospital and arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Shoushan, who worked in the hospital as the director of the Chinese Medicine department. He was taken to the Juxian Detention Centre and detained for 27 days. The 58-year-old man was forced to work from 6:00 in the morning until 6:00 in the evening, twelve hours per day. He was made to do jobs such as folding gloves, peeling onions, and cleaning peanuts. They did not give him enough food to eat during the entire time he worked. -
Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Destroying Murder Evidence Under New "Regulations"
2006-07-27On June 26th, 2006, the Yanzhao Metropolitan newspaper posted an announcement that says, according to the Shijiazhuang City Funeral Management Regulations, "The listed bodies have been stored in the funeral home for too long. Families and employers of these bodies are asked to arrange to have these bodies cremated within sixty days, otherwise the funeral home will cremate these bodies and save the ashes for six months." Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zuo Zhigang, who was tortured to death, is among the thirty. His family did not receive any notice from the funeral home or the Weiming Street Police Station. -
Persecution and Death of Elderly Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Cao Fengying from Gansu Province
2006-07-27Ms. Cao Fengying, 62, was terrorised by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials during a 3-year period. She was detained in a detention centre and tortured. After Ms. Cao went home, officers from Guangzhou Road Police Station in Jinchang City frequently went to harass and threaten her. Her husband soon passed away. Her son, also a Falun Gong practitioner, was sentenced to nine years in prison at the Jinchuan District Court for making materials exposing the persecution. Her daughter-in-law was also sent to a labour camp. Ms. Cao Fengying passed away on January 8th, 2003 due to the persecution. -
Mr. Li Zongming Dies after Being Tortured in Yushan Forced Labour Camp in Tianjin City
2006-07-27Mr. Li Zongming, 37, was sentenced to three years in Yushan Forced Labour Camp. He was released after suffering horrific torture in 2004, and died in March 2006. The means of torture used in Yushan Forced Labour Camp are very cruel. Practitioners are deprived of sleep for long periods of time. They are forced to sit straight on a small stool, and they are jabbed with needles, punched, and shocked with electric batons whenever they move. Guards use long needles, screwdrivers, electric batons, and wooden sticks on practitioners' heads, private parts, and other sensitive places. They beat practitioners who hold hunger strikes very brutally, shove toilet brushes into practitioners' mouths, force-feed them with faeces and chilli powder, and burn their fingernails and toenails with cigarette butts. -
Shengli Oil Field Brainwashing Centre: Darker than a Prison
2006-07-26During the seven years of persecution where the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, the brainwashing centres have been the most deceptive, even as they persecute the largest number of practitioners. The brainwashing centres are called "Legal and Discipline Education Centres" in public, and the people are misled by their deceitful methods. The public is led to believe that these classes are to educate Falun Gong practitioners. They are in fact brainwashing centres that the Chinese Communist Party uses to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.
