Three Distinguished Female Falun Gong Practitioners Brutally Tortured in Prison
2013-05-01“She could not raise her head, could not see things and could not walk.” This was Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhu Weiying's physical condition when her son went to visit her at Suzhou No. 3 Women's Prison in Anhui Province. Ms. Zhu had to be carried out on a stretcher for the visit due to her poor condition. The prison head said she was eligible for serving her term outside of prison in every way due to her condition, but they would not allow her to do so unless she “transforms” [forcibly renounces Falun Gong]. -
Engineer Mr. Gao Dong Disappeared Two Years Ago
2013-05-01Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Gao Dong has been missing since 2011 when he travelled to Haicheng City, his hometown. Panjin City 610 Office agents (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) searched his home and took his landlord in for questioning. Word spread that Mr. Gao had been sent to Benxi City Forced Labour Camp, while another source said that he was held in Anshan City Detention Centre. His whereabouts remain a mystery and no one knows if he is even still alive. -
More and More Chinese People Outraged by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Abuse: 10,000 Sign to Rescue Mr. Zheng Xiangxing
2013-04-30The Political and Legal Affairs Committee ordered a massive arrest of Falun Gong practitioners on February 25th, 2012. After hearing that Tangshan City practitioner Mr. Zheng Xiangxing was one of those arrested, 562 local residents signed their names with fingerprints to rescue him. Officials ignored their petition and threatened those who signed it. They then sentenced Mr. Zheng to 10 years in prison. Due to injuries he suffered as a result of being severely tortured at Baoding Prison, Mr. Zheng had to undergo two brain surgeries, but was not released. Between March 2012 and March 2013, 10,852 residents signed their names with their fingerprints, seeking Mr. Zheng's released. -
Mr. Lin Zehua Paralyzed, His Family Sues Jiamusi Prison
2013-04-30The family of Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Lin Zehua filed a lawsuit against Jiamusi Prison on March 21st, 2013. They are suing the prison for physically abusing Mr. Lin, which eventually paralyzed him. Mr. Lin was paralyzed four and half years ago and is still jailed at Jiamusi Prison. Mr. Lin was sentenced to seven years in prison in 2008. Prison guard Lai Baohua often instigated criminal inmates to verbally and physically abuse Mr. Lin for not giving up his belief. Mr. Lin was forced into slave labour work and monitored by “personal monitors” around the clock. -
Qian Fajun Disabled Due to Forced Drug Administration in a Labour Camp
2013-04-30Mr. Qian Fajun is a Falun Gong practitioner from Junan County, Shandong Province. He was subjected to long-term force-feeding in the No. 2 Men's Forced Labour Camp in Shandong Province, which alsmost killed him. He was in critical condition and taken for emergency treatment. An unknown drug was injected into his right foot causing a severe infection. Soon after his release in January 2012, he started suffering the effects of the drug. He was unable to walk or use his arms and couldn't take care of himself. He could not even get out of bed by himself. -
Mr. Liu Wenwei, former Harbin Railroad Procuratorate Employee, Persecuted to Death
2013-04-28Once employed at the Harbin Railroad Procuratorate, Mr. Liu Wenwei began to practise Falun Gong in 1999. During the past 13 years, he was detained three times, sentenced to three years of forced labour, and taken to a brainwashing centre twice. His home was ransacked four times, and he was monitored for a long period of time. He was also re-assigned to a new job at work. On November 11th, 2012, at the age of 51, he passed away a few days after he was released from the brainwashing centre. -
Officials at Tianjin Women's Prison: “No Medical Parole Unless She Is Dying”
2013-04-28Tianjin Women's Prison officials recently notified Ms. Ping Yurong's family that her lungs were filling with fluid. When the family requested that Ms. Ping be released for medical treatment, the prison officials said that they “will not consider granting medical parole unless she is dying.” According to medical experts, fluid on the lungs is serious and needs to be treated promptly. Ms. Ping's situation is worrisome because the conditions at the prison are poor and her condition is so serious. Because the prison authorities even bothered to notify her family, it is suspected that the prison is acknowledging that Ms. Ping is seriously ill. By notifying the family, the prison seems to be attempting to evade responsibility for her condition. -

Products Made by Detainees at Jilin Province Women’s Labour Camp
2013-04-26After July 1999, when the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong, the number of Jilin detainees increased dramatically. From 2000 to 2001, it reached a peak of 3,000. The arts and crafts products were exported to Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, and other countries. Falun Gong practitioners were forced to work 15 -18 hours daily in Jilin Province Labour Camp. The work area was on the same floor as our cell. The conditions were terrible. Feathers filled the air,and stuck to clothing, bed sheets, and dishes. The air was filled with a strong odour from the feathers, dyes, and adhesives. -
Mr. Qian Fajun Dies after Torture in Shandong Forced Labour Camp
2013-04-26Mr. Qian Fajun could not take care of himself after he returned home from the Shandong No. 2 Men's Forced Labour Camp in January 2012. His health kept deteriorating, and he died on April 17th, 2013, at the age of 44. Mr. Qian was arrested at home in September 2011 and taken to the Linyi Brainwashing Centre. Brainwashing centre head Su Wei force-fed him as a means of torture and laced his food with poisonous substances, which left him in a severely debilitated physical condition. After he was sent to the forced labour camp Mr. Qian started a hunger strike to protest the persecution and was force-fed for long periods of time. -
April 25 Peaceful Appeal: 14 Years of Courage
2013-04-25On April 25, 1999, approximately 10,000 practitioners gathered quietly in Beijing to appeal to the central government for the right to practice Falun Gong. Firsthand Account of the Brutal Brainwashing Tactics at Xili Brainwashing Centre, Written by Ms. Zhang Fuying Before Her Death

Investigation Lead: In 2006 Luo Qintian of Chengde, Hebei Province Had Two Liver Transplants within Ten Days
2013-04-19Luo Qintian, a driver for the Agricultural Bank of Chengde, Hebei Province, went to a local hospital in January 2006 and was told he had to have a liver transplant or he would die. Mr. Luo chose to have a liver transplant. His liver transplant surgery was done immediately. After a few days, the surgery was confirmed to be a failure. Luo had the second surgery, which also was a failure. The source of organs is suspicious when two matching livers were obtained within ten days. -
Jixi City 610 Office Continues to Detain Falun Gong Practitioners After Prison Terms End
2013-04-19Since the persecution of Falun Gong started in July 1999, in the Jixi City area of Heilongjiang Province, more than 400 Falun Gong practitioners have been arrested, detained, put in forced labour camps, or sentenced to prison. At least 23 practitioners have died as a result of persecution. In many cases, when practitioners' labour camp or prison sentences have been completed, instead of releasing them, the Jixi 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) transfers them to brainwashing centres, where the persecution then continues. -
Exposing the Torture of Falun Gong Practitioners in Heilongjiang Province Women's Forced Labour Camp
2013-04-19Falun Gong practitioners sent to the labour camp are immediately given brainwashing. Every morning, inmates had to get up at 5 a.m., and they were only allowed to go to bed late between 10 – 12 midnight. There were no breaks in between, and they were not allowed to use the toilet for extended periods of time. Practitioners were made to sit on small stools less than one foot high and watch programmes slandering Falun Gong. They had to write guarantee statements renouncing their belief. If they refused to watch the programs or shut their eyes, guards would physically punish them. And if they refused to write statements, their prison sentence would be extended.
