Four Practitioners from Jilin, Henan, and Hubei Provinces Die as a Result of Persecution

Mr. Zhu Tianpeng , 60, lived in Henan Province. He started practising Falun Dafa in 1997, and became illness-free very soon afterwards. After July 20, 1999, his family members appealed for Falun Dafa many times by distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and were arrested by police. He was threatened and harassed many times by lawless officials and was seriously injured. Mr. Zhu Tianpeng died on February 3, 2005. -
Falun Dafa Practitioners Wang Jinbo and Others Were Brutally Persecuted in the Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp -- Part I
2005-05-02Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Jinbo is in his 40s and is a loan manager at a Construction Bank in Jilin Province. In August 2002, police officers arrested Mr. Wang at his workplace because he practises Falun Gong. He was sentenced to three years of forced labour. In October 2002, Mr. Wang was sent to the Chaoyanggou Labour Camp in Changchun City, where he suffered inhuman torture and cruel persecution. -
Ms. Tian Yuan, a Disabled Practitioner, Recounts the Persecution She Has Suffered by Police in Changchun City
2005-05-02"I used to be a doctor. In early 1994, a policeman who was carrying a gun illegally opened fire when he was arguing with someone over personal issues. The bullet hit my spinal column, and I became paralysed from the chest down. I've been confined to a wheelchair since that day 11 years ago. I started to practise Falun Gong in May 1999. Very soon after that, miracles happened. My legs stopped suffering from oedema and atrophy. In March 2004, over twenty policemen arrested me and took me to the detention centre. At the detention centre, I followed the legal procedures and requested a lawyer and an administrative re-examination of my case. Both of my requests were turned down. On March 14, 2005, the Procuratorate sent someone to my home and wanted to take me, even though I could not walk or take care of myself, to the court for sentencing." -
His Leukemia Cured after Practising Falun Dafa, Hu Xiangdong Dies as a Result of Persecution; Ms. Ge Ling Sentenced Again to Two Years of Forced Labour
2005-05-02Mr. Hu Xiangdong lived in Jiangxi Province. He previously had leukemia, which disappeared after he began Falun Dafa practice. He was then able to do farm work in the fields. After the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20, 1999, lawless officials sent people to follow Mr. Hu, and they forbade him to practise Falun Dafa. His old illness returned, and he died on December 13, 2003. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Wang Shujie Drowned Following Nervous Breakdown Precipitated by Brutal Torture
2005-05-0249 year old Ms. Wang Shujie went to Beijing twice to appeal for justice for Falun Dafa and was sent to a detention centre. In December 1999, Ms. Wang was sentenced to one year of forced labour and held at the Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp, where she was ruthlessly tortured. Four guards shocked her simultaneously with electric batons. She rolled down the stairs and passed out. Local police and her workplace pressured, monitored, harassed and threatened her on a daily basis. Wang Shujie suffered a nervous breakdown. She fell into a river and drowned on October 8, 2000. -
Over Sixty Dafa Practitioners in Heilongjiang Province Arrested and Tortured - Ms. Hao Zhimei Persecuted to Death
2005-05-01Recently more than sixty Dafa practitioners in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province were arrested and unjustly detained in the Qiqihar City First Detention Center. A retired first school teacher, 61-year-old Dafa practitioner Ms. Hao Zhimei, was arrested on the evening of March 16, 2005 and died as a result of persecution on March 24. It was reported that the authorities secretly handed out ten-year sentences to all of them without going through any legal proceedings. -
Sichuan Province Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Xianmin Tortured to Death
2005-05-01In February 2005 51 year old Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Xianmin went to attend her friends' and family's New Year's banquet. She was abducted by 610 Office members and held at the county detention centre. After Ms. Li was abducted, the 610 Office also ransacked the home of her 80 year old parents. Her father died due to the pressure of the harassment he received in the middle of February 2005, and her mother was so frightened that she is still afraid to see any strangers. On April 7, Ms. Li Xianmin was tortured to death. -
Leukemia Patient Gained a New Life after Practising Falun Gong and Passed Away under Persecution
2005-05-0152 year old Ms. Zhang Fengqing had suffered from leukemia and was dying. In 1996, Ms. Zhang began to practise Falun Gong. She was cured of leukemia. In 2002 when an official from the "610 Office" asked her if she would continue to practise Falun Gong, she said she would not give up such a good qigong practice. She was then taken to a brainwashing centre and persecuted. Although she was released, Ms. Zhang was constantly harassed by the police from the local police station, and she couldn't practise on a regular basis or lead a normal life. As a result, her old disease recurred. On April 1, 2005, she passed away. -
Six Falun Dafa Practitioners Die as a Result of Persecution
2005-05-01Mr. Wang Yuzheng, 57, was a farmer from Shandong Province. After beginning Falun Dafa practice in 1996, his long-term diabetes quickly disappeared. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, because he distributed leaflets exposing the persecution, he was abducted many times, detained, and forced to go through brainwashing sessions. His family members were harassed and extorted out of money. The persecution hurt him both mentally and physically, and he died on January 24, 2005. -
"Outstanding Teacher" Ms. Gao Shuqin Was Detained and Tortured Twice in 2001 Before Being Persecuted to Death in 2004
2005-04-3051 year old Mrs. Gao Shuqin, was a teacher and determined Falun Dafa practitioner. To evade an unjust arrest by police she tried to climb down a sheet from a high window at home and tragically fell to her death. Previously she had experienced tortuous forced-feeding in detention centres, which nearly cost her her life. -
Mr. Tang Deliang and His Wife Wang Hongmei Sentenced to Six and a Half Years in Prison
2005-04-30Mr. Tang Deliang and Ms. Wang Hongmei are farmers from a village near Chongqing City. The couple has been repeatedly arrested, detained, tortured and sent to forced labour camps because they practise Falun Dafa. In August 2003, Mr. Tang and his wife were arrested at a Falun Gong centre producing leaflets exposing the persecution. They were sentenced to six and a half years in prison. Their 11 year old son is living in poor conditions with his grandparents. -
Cases of Deaths Caused by Illnesses Returning After Being Forced to Give up Cultivation
2005-04-30Ms. Lei Zongjuan, 68, lived in a village near Jizhou City, Hebei Province. After beginning Falun Dafa practice in 1995, her illnesses disappeared. She got rid of her 28 year-old medicine jar. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa, but later gave up her cultivation under pressure and harassment. Her old ailments returned, and she died in September, 2001. -
Three Falun Dafa Practitioners Die Following Brainwashing
2005-04-30Ms. Liu Xianglan, 61, was from Beijing. In March, 2002, Ms. Liu was arrested by police. She was detained, cursed, beaten, and tortured. She refused to give up cultivation, and the 610 Office arrested her and took her to a brainwashing class held at the police academy. She subsequently suffered symptoms of a stroke. The police did not release her, and she died. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Ge Peiling Was Persecuted to Death in Jiangxi Province
2005-04-29Falun Dafa practitioner Ge Peiling, 50 years old, was turned in just for talking with another Falun Gong practitioner on the street. She was secretly abducted by police and sent to a detention centre. Police incited criminal inmates to bash her head against the wall and on the ground. Later she was harassed by police at home. She was persecuted to death on January 7, 2005, leaving behind her husband who was over 50 years old and her son, a secondary school student. -
Practitioner Lu Yuankun Has Been Missing Since His Arrest in 2002
2005-04-29Mr. Lu Yuankun from Liaoning Province has been missing since his arrest in Zhengzhou City on April 19, 2002. It is uncertain whether he is still alive. His family could not get any information about him from the Public Security Bureau. In September 2004, his wife Ms. Wang was arrested in Benxi City, leaving their boy without parental care. His wife was sent to Masanjia Forced Labour Camp
