Ms. Cheng Hanbo Died at 49 as a Result of Torture at Jiamusi Forced Labour Camp in Heilongjiang Province

Since the beginning of the persecution in July 1999, Ms. Cheng Hanbo, a Falun Dafa practitioner, was subjected to inhuman torture by the local 610 Office, police, and guards at the detention centre and forced labour camp. Her family members were implicated under the Chinese Communist Party's "implication policy," and the local persecutors extorted more than 10,000 yuan from her family. Mrs. Cheng was tortured at Jiamusi Forced Labour Camp. She suffered cruel mental and physical torture, and she did not recover. To avoid further persecution, the family had to move. During the past several months, Ms. Cheng had difficulty eating. She died on December 17th, 2006, at the age of 49. -
Two Practitioners from Hunan and Liaoning Provinces Pass Away as a Result of the Persecution

October 31st, 2006 was Mr. Peng Yunguo's 68th birthday, and his sons and daughters visited him to celebrate. Police broke into his home. They arrested Peng Yunguo with the excuse that someone had reported him for putting up posters exposing the persecution. In the meantime, the policemen deceived his children, telling them that they would only take him away for questioning. Peng Yunguo was detained in the Xiangyin Detention Centre for several days. As a result, his family members were extorted out of several thousand Yuan before he was released. Unable to bear the tremendous mental strain of the persecution he suffered, Mr. Peng passed away at 8 p.m. on December 24th, 2006. -
Mr. Liu Hongwei Tortured in the Chuanying District Police Department of Jilin City, Jilin Province
2007-01-10Mr. Liu Hongwei was arrested and sent to Jilin City Detention Centre. The police have frequently interrogated Liu Hongwei and extorted a confession from him by using harsh methods to gather information. During one interrogation, the police forced him to sit on the iron chair and he was unable to walk after he came back. His back was also severely injured. After a long period of time, Mr. Liu was taken back to interrogation, and was only able to move step by step with the support of the windowsill. Mr. Liu still has difficulty walking. -
Ms. Wan Xiuying Currently Detained at Hailar Detention Centre in Inner Mongolia
2007-01-10On December 8th, 2006, Ms. Wan Xiuying went missing on the train from Tongliao to Hailar, and family members were very anxious and looked for her everywhere. On December 14th, Shao Jun, who works at the National Security Division of the Kerqin Police Station in Tongliao City, said that Ms. Wan was detained in the Hailar City Railway Police Station. It was said that the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) followers found Dafa books in Ms. Wan’s handbag, along with information materials about Dafa and some CDs. Ms. Wan was later detained in Hailar Detention Centre. Her current situation is unclear. -
Practitioner Mr. Gao Maosen from Guizhou Province Died at 46 As a Result of Persecution
2007-01-09Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Gao Maosen had begun the practice of Falun Gong in 1998. Agents from the Guiyang City Political and Legal Committee arrested him in July 2006, along with his coworker, practitioner Chen Xiaohua. Mr. Gao was accused of having written unlawful letters to Mr. Chen. Both were placed in the Lannigou brainwashing centre. Mr. Gao Maosen died on November 17th, 2006 as a result of the persecution, at the age of 46. When his family members inspected his remains, they noticed specific marks on Mr. Gao's neck, indicating he had been restrained with a cable TV cord. -
A First-hand Account of the Brutal Torture Suffered by Dafa Practitioners in Baimalong Forced Labour Camp in Hunan Province
2007-01-09"They first began to brainwash me. During the day, I was attacked, threatened and insulted by a group of "transformed" former practitioners. During other times, guards threatened me with corporal punishment, beat me and limited visits to the toilet to wash and use the toilet. During the night, I was forced to watch videos slandering Teacher Li and Dafa. I was monitored continuously by two prisoners. They tortured me when I closed my eyes. One prisoner hit me and mocked me by saying, "Who hit you? Who witnessed it?" At times, I was forced to stand for the entire night and sometimes I had to walk without taking a rest. After ten days, I became absent minded due to sleep deprivation." -
Exposing a Dark Den of Persecution, the Xinhua Forced Labour Camp in Sichuan Province
2007-01-09"There was not a day that I would be free from torture. The inmates assaulted all parts of my body. I remember the day when the wardens told inmates to fiercely beat and kick me. My legs became very swollen, and both of my feet were fractured. As I couldn't walk any more, the designated personnel had to carry me to the place to have my daily feeding." -
Police from the 610 Office in Yanqing County, Beijing Arrested Twenty Dafa Practitioners in 2006
2007-01-09On June 28th, 2008, Shi Yingjie was arrested. He was thirty-one years old and an employee at the railway station. During his detention, he was tortured and developed the symptoms of heart attack, high blood pressure and stroke. Once he was on the brink of death and was sent to the Yanqing County Hospital. On September 19th, the Beijing Public Security Bureau arrested him again. He is now detained at the Second Custodial Station under the Seventh Department of the Public Security Bureau. -
Ms. Zhao Wenlan, 68, from Hebei Province Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison
2007-01-08Due to her beliefs in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" and because she explained the facts about Falun Gong to people, Ms. Zhao Wenlan, a 68 year-old practitioner, has been arrested and detained on multiple occasions over the past seven years. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2004 and is currently detained at Shijiazhuang Women's Prison. Zhao Wenlan was tortured with the handcuffed-behind-the back method for nine days: the victim's shoulders are pulled down heavily by handcuffs at the back. After a while, the handcuffs cut into the flesh and the hands turn purple. It is very painful, and the victim cannot perform daily functions, nor are they able to sleep. -
Guard in the No. 2 Forced Labour Camp in Shandong Province Threatens Practitioner "We Will Send You to the Hospital to Have Your Organs Harvested!"
2007-01-08The guards tortured practitioner Liu Quanyi by shocking him with electric batons. They kept him handcuffed for five days and nights. The guards ordered him to sit on a hard stool or stand for seventeen to eighteen hours each day. When Mr. Liu refused to give up Dafa, they transferred him to the No. 8 Division. Zheng Wanxin, head guard of the division, handcuffed him for eleven straight days and nights and then put him in solitary confinement. The guards also forced him to sit on a stool the entire time he was in isolation. One of the guards told him, "If you refuse to be 'transformed,' we will send you to the Qilu Hospital to have your organs harvested." -
Persecution at the Women's Forced Labour Camp in Shanxi Province
2007-01-08Practitioner Zhou Yating refused to be "transformed." Guards Li Zhen and Bai Xiao called her into the office and pinched her face, shoulders and back with 2.5 inch needles, which were used to sew mats. After the wounds healed, there were many round spots. Drug addict Zhang Fan, from Yulin, took a leather belt and tightened it around Zhou Yating's neck while she was sound sleeping. Zhou awakened and shouted for help, which saved her life. It is very common to be beaten or cursed daily. When Ms. Zhou Yating held a hunger strike to protest, she was violently force-fed multiple times. -
Persecution Facts about Mr. Zhang Jingqi of Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province
2007-01-08Mr. Zhang Jingqi was tortured at the Babaishang Police Department by being burned with cigarettes, suffocated with cigarette smoke, being stripped of clothes then having cold water poured on his body and left outside in the snow to freeze, being deprived of sleep for four days, choking/burning from having chili oil or mustard oil poured on a mask that he was forced to breath through, being suffocated with a plastic bag repeatedly, having his back scalded with boiling water. -
Questions Concerning the Death of Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Luo Shuchun, Who Fell from a Building in Changchun
2007-01-08Ms. Luo Shuchun, 55 years old, was a former national second level police supervisor. She was dismissed because she practised Falun Gong. On December 13th, 2006 after 11:00 a.m., Luo Shuchun suddenly made a phone call to nearby practitioners saying, "The police are knocking on my door." Afterwards, when practitioners called her back, her telephone had been turned off. That afternoon around 2:00 p.m., fellow practitioners obtained the news that Luo Shuchun had fallen from the fifth floor window when the police rushed into her room. Prior to her fall, Ms. Luo made a phone call to her fellow practitioners asking for help, and she obviously did not have the thought off jumping from her building. -
Ms. Xing Qiuhua Dies of Depression at 58 After Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Media Fabrication
2007-01-07The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) tries to force every practitioner to "reform." Ms. Xing Qiuhua was pressured to speak about her understandings of Falun Gong according to the CCP's requirement at an employee meeting, but she refused. In an exhibit slandering Falun Dafa sponsored by the Shijiazhuang City government, the media videotaped her secretly, tricked her into talking, and cut and edited her original words to fabricate an "interview" in which she appeared to be slandering Falun Dafa. This fallacious videotape deceived people and severely damaged Ms. Xing both mentally and physically, causing her to be depressed for a long period of time. She died on November 29th, 2006. -
Father Appeals for Son, Mr. Li Feng from Anguo City, Hebei Province, Who Is Ill in Prison
2007-01-07Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Feng's family members went to visit him on December 28th, 2006, at No. 4 Prison in Shijiazhuang City. They noticed his sallow complexion and profound weakness, to the point that he was unable to keep his eyes open. His eyelids drooped and he was short of breath. It appeared to indicate that his heart disease and hypertension had not improved. Even so, the officials in charge still refused to release him.
