• Dafa Practitioner Ms. Tan Xiangyu from Changsha City, Hunan Province Forced to Become Homeless to Avoid Further Persecution

  Dafa practitioner Ms. Tan Xiangyu is is 60 years old. Because of her persistent practice of Falun Gong, she was forced to leave home and wander about to avoid further persecution by the Women's Prison of Changsha City. Due to persecution Ms. Tan Xiangyu's lung was perforated. She could not walk, her feet were swollen, and her liver was also in serious condition. Her whole body looked very pale, she could not eat, and was vomiting blood. Now more than one year has passed, and the prison guards still attempt to persecute her. They are looking for her everywhere.

• Remembering Ms.Yang Ruiyu, My Fellow Practitioner Who Was Tortured to Death in China

  The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) typically goes after what it perceives to be the leader of a group it wants to persecute and make an example out of him or her. Because Ms. Yang Ruiyu was the coordinator of seven practice sites and travelled to other districts to spread the practice, the CCP went after her and persecuted her severely. After Ms. Yang Ruiyu died as a result of the persecution, the Fuzhou Police Station would not allow any memorial services for her and ordered her body to be incinerated the same day she passed away. Her husband and daughter were not allowed to get close enough to see her. It was reported that there was a fist-sized hole in her body.

• Falun Dafa Practitioner Sun Zhouying Was Detained With Other Practitioners at Shanghai’s Songjiang Women’s Jail for Four Years

  Dafa practitioner Ms. Sun Zhouying is nearly 60 years old. In the year 2000 Ms. Sun was detained and kept in custody for the next four years. Because she refused to renounce Falun Dafa, the authorities of Songjiang Women’s Jail tortured her by forcing her to stand or sit for long periods of time. She was constantly dizzy due to sleep deprivation and suffered severe beatings at the hands of the jailers and their lackeys. Ms. Sun was forced to clean the public toilet but forbidden to use it.

• Ms. Deng Jianmei is on the Brink of Death at the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison

  On March 21st, 2005, the dean of the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison led police and criminals to drag practitioners into the hallway. Dafa practitioners, including Deng Jianmei, were brutally beaten, dragged and had their blood drawn, which rendered them too weak to walk. Ms. Deng Jianmei had a heart attack from this torture. Ms. Deng Jianmei had a heart attack from this torture. At that time, her body kept trembling. Now, she has heart attacks several times per day. She is very weak and lean, and cannot eat. Her body still trembles and she has difficulty walking. Sometimes, she can not move for several days. She is on the brink of death.

• Mr. Liu Ruisheng from Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province Secretly Sentenced to 9 Years in Prison

  On April 23rd, 2006, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Ruisheng was arrested by State Security agents and detained for three months in the City Detention Centre. Liu Ruisheng vomited blood three times during this time period, and he was bailed out on the evening of July 28th, 2006. A few months later agents arrested him again at home. Mr. Liu's family heard that the Longshan District Court had sentenced Mr. Liu Ruisheng to nine years in prison.

• A Lecturer in Hebei Province Medical University Facing Trial

  Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Feng Ruixue, a former lecturer, was arrested on April 6th, 2006, for distributing leaflets exposing the persecution on the Hebei Province Business University campus. The flyers exposed the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. Police detained Ms. Feng. She was scheduled to go on trial December 29th, 2006.

• A Practitioner Recounts the Crimes of Police Officers Xu Bin and He Shibing of Guangan County, Sichuan Province, in the Persecution of Falun Gong

  Xu Bin, in her 40s, was a Public Security Commissar in Guangan County before she was promoted for persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. On November 30th, 1999, she worked with He Shibin of the Public Security Bureau to kidnap more than 30 practitioners who'd gone to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. They detained the practitioners in the Guangan Detention Centre and fabricated false evidence to report to the authorities. With the assistance of the Guangan County 610 Office, Xu Bin and He Shibing slandered Falun Dafa on the air at the Guangan City TV station.

• Guards from Shijiazhuang City Forced Labour Camp Mentally Torment Falun Dafa Practitioners' Family Members

  On the last Thursday of each month, the hours of 9-11 a.m. are the visiting hours for detained Falun Dafa practitioners in the Shijiazhuang City Labour Camp. On December 28th, 2006, in a small room in the Fifth Ward of the Camp, guards were checking every family member that came to visit. They had to first show the "non-practitioner" statement issued by the local police station, and then they had to read through a page full of words slandering Falun Dafa; otherwise, they were not allowed to visit.

• Heilongjiang Women's Prison Persecutes Practitioners Who Learned Dafa in Prison

  Several criminal prisoners detained in Heilongjiang Women's Prison had the good fortune to start practising Falun Dafa, and they began to understand the real meaning of life since then. Though prison guards used reduced prison terms or even release from prison to tempt them, these practitioners still refused to renounce Falun Dafa. Instead, they firmly insisted on practising Falun Dafa, and therefore suffered cruel tortures such as being detaining in solitary confinement, being handcuffed with their arms behind their backs, and being injected with unknown drugs by the prison guards.

• The 610 Office in Shanghai Is Obstructing Justice, Discouraging Ms. Zeng Aihua's Lawyer from Visiting Her

  On May 23rd, 2006, Shanghai practitioner Ms. Zeng Aihua, 57 years old, a resident of Hong Kong, was arrested at home by police officers from Pudong New District Police Substation of Shanghai. Her home was ransacked and her belongings were confiscated. At present, the officials at the 610 Office of Shanghai are discouraging Ms. Zeng Aihua's lawyer from seeing her. Nobody has seen Ms. Zeng or heard anything about her for more than five months since her arrest.

• Mr. Cao Dong and His Wife Face Extreme Difficulty on the Eve of the New Year

• Ms. Zhu Guangzhen Died in July 2006 as a Result of Persecution

  Before the 2002 New Year in Hefei City, Anhui Province, 610 Office agents and policemen stormed into Ms. Zhu Guangzhen's home, ransacked the place and arrested her, and then had her sentenced to three years in prison to be served in the Suzhou City Prison. Guards encouraged prisoners to slam her head against the wall by grabbing her hair, which caused her front teeth to be knocked out. She was both mentally and physically tortured resulting in her eyesight being reduced so she could not see anything during the night, and she was very weak. Ms. Zhu was released in July 2005 with a very weak body. She died in July 2006.

• Mr. Xi Shun, 70, Suffers a Mental Collapse from Repeated Harassment by Chinese Communist Party Officials

  October 1st, 2000, 70-year-old Mr. Xi Shun went to Beijing to appeal to the government for Falun Dafa. He was arrested and detained in a basement. There was no bed to sleep on. They did not give Mr. Xi any food nor did they notify his family. The mayor and secretary of the town harassed him often and Mr. Xi was both physically and mentally abused. After they extorted five thousand yuan from Mr. Xi's family, Mr. Xi was finally released. In November 2004, Mr. Xi witnessed his daughter being arrested and put into brainwashing classes. He suffered a nervous breakdown. Now, Mr. Xi lies confined to his bed, mentally disturbed.

  At the end of 1999, when she told people about the benefits of practising Falun Gong at a train station, police officers arrested 63-year-old Ms. Wang Yunliao and kept her at a detention centre for two weeks. Her family was forced to pay 2,000 yuan to get her released. In 2003 she was arrested again and taken to brainwashing. They took turns intimidating her in an attempt to force her to give up Falun Dafa. In November 2006 Ms. Wang was arrested again and detained.

• Laishui County 610 Office Agents in Hebei Province Destroy the Homes of Two Falun Gong Practitioners in Broad Daylight

  Laishui County 610 Office agents destroyed the homes of two Falun Gong practitioners on December 4th, 2006. They opened the front gate and barged inside the house. They completely destroyed all doors, windows, dishes and furniture, and some home appliances. The noise of furniture being smashed, breaking glass and barking dogs attracted several neighbours who gathered and watched the intruders. They removed the blade from a shovel and used the shovel handle to demolish items, including glass. Within 30 minutes, a clean and organised house was turned into a disaster zone.
