  Because I refused to give up my faith in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," I was under close surveillance. Later on, I twice solemnly stated to the deputies that I believe in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," yet I received more hideous tortures. They shocked me with electric batons to the point that I fell unconscious to the floor with my body twitching and twisting. They tried to force me to give up my belief. In the process they mentioned Jiang often. They told me, "Jiang Zemin told you not to practise Falun Gong already and you better follow orders. If you practise you break the law. How can an arm overpower the leg?"

  In the first few weeks in Dalian Labour Camp, the guards tried to destroy us with heavy labour. They ordered me to take rocks (picked out from the coal) back to the mine shaft. They required me to move 120 wagons full of rock each day and they said I had to run. I collapsed on the first day, because I was too weak, but I had to do the same heavy labour the next day. Sweat poured out of my body. I was covered with salt crystals from the sweat. I felt dizzy under the baking sun. But I tried to be strong and never lowered my head.

  The basement, which holds over one hundred people for work during the day, becomes one of the main places for persecuting Dafa practitioners at night. One only has to say the word "practice" and they will be dragged into the basement and beaten up. Once this is done, all their hair is cut off. Sometimes the hair is entirely cut off leaving the scalp exposed. Other times, they cut off all but one strand of long hair. The policemen's shouting, the noise of the electric batons being used to shock people, and the criminals' cursing, kicking, and beating people (sometimes using square clubs) makes the dark and damp basement even more ghastly and horrifying.

  Why is force-feeding considered brutal and intentional torture? Please think about it. Why is nearly saturated salt water used? Why were practitioners force-fed on their first day of hunger strike? According to medical regulations, people have to be checked for certain diseases before feeding, such as flu, heart disease, and inflammation of lungs and stomach, which are diseases that prohibit feeding. However, the police never check practitioners' health. The head of the management division, Han Xinguo, shouted: "You are not going to the hospital even if you are dying from the force-feeding".

  Female practitioner Ms Wang Benying was of old age. She became blind because of the long detention. The guards said, "There are no vegetables and the food is not nutritious, thus people will become blind. Hurry up and write a 'Guarantee Statement'. Only if you state that you give up with Falun Gong will you be released." Ms Wang Benying's family wasted no effort to get her released for medical treatment, but without positive results. The guards refused to release her. One of the guards named Wang Peng said, "We will not be held accountable if someone leaves the room on her last breath and died outside the door."

  Since the end of October, Aimin District Public Security Sub-bureau, Mudanjiang City, has been frantically arresting Dafa practitioners. At present the situation is urgent. It is known that over 100 people have been arrested, and many of them had been arrested illegally several times before. Now most of these Dafa practitioners are imprisoned in Mudanjiang Detention Centre located at Xinglong Town.   They then shocked her head and the other side of her body. Upon seeing that she was not frightened, the police brought buckets of cold water and poured it down the front of her clothes. She was so cold and leaned forward, so the police pulled back her collar to pour water down the back of her clothes. Finally, they poured a bucket of cold water onto her head. She was trembling badly from the cold. She condemned the police for their behaviour. The police interrogated her for over two hours and sent her to the cell after midnight. They did not allow her to sleep and refused to let her change out of her soaked, freezing clothes.

  Zhang Mingzhu was also one of the disciplinary guards directly responsible for the murder of another practitioner He Huajiang. Because Zhang was highly "accomplished" in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, he was promoted to Assistant Brigade Leader of Daqing City Forced Labour Camp. Zhang once declared, "There is no legal consequence for killing [Falun Gong practitioners]." Daqing City Forced Labour Camp is currently sealing the records about Mr. Lu's death. When asked about Lu Bingshen's death, the response was the following: "Mr. Lu Bingshen died of heart attack."

  Ms. Zhou maintained her steadfast belief in Falun Dafa despite brutal beatings, shocking from electric batons, and many other forms of atrocious torture inflicted by Luo, Captain of the disciplinary guards, Ma, Na, and Yang in the Women's 2nd Squadron...In July 2003, Ms. Zhou was transferred to Baoanzhao Prison in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. A few days later she died from the injuries caused by the torture she had endured. The details about how Ms. Zhou was persecuted in 2003 are yet to be investigated.

They tailed her husband everywhere, and together with a large number of police officers from the National Security Department, they brazenly prevented her family members from holding a funeral for her.

I said to the principal: "I am a working teacher and the classroom is my work place. I did not do anything wrong by practicing truthfulness, compassion and forbearance. Why won't you let me come back to work?" The principal got very mad at me, "Even now you still think this way, how can you come back to work?!"...I found the secretary and asked him for my job back. The secretary told me the school does need a teacher like me, but I would have to write a guarantee letter saying that I will never practise Falun Gong again. I refused immediately
