• Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhou Liangzhu Dies as Result of Torture at Maojiashan Female Labour Camp

  They had planned to detain her there for three years, but a physical exam at the labour camp discovered that Zhou Liangzhu could barely stand up. Afraid that she might die, the labour camp authorities called the local "610 Office," her work unit and her family to take her home on December 12, 2002. Because the injuries she sustained from the brutal tortures at the camp and at brainwashing class were too severe, sadly Zhou Liangzhu was never able to recover, and passed away at 11:20 p.m. on October 17, 2003. • Zhaoyuan Police Refuse to Release Female Dafa Practitioner Despite Being in a Life-Threatening Condition

  While being detained, in order to protest, she went on a hunger strike, which has now lasted more than a month and is still going on. The vicious detention centre guards brutally force-fed her. According to people who know the details, even the guards could no longer force-feed her due to her extremely poor physical health. Recently, Mrs. Fu was sent to an emergency room in Zhaoyuan People's Hospital. She has become extremely thin from the torture, and is now in a life-threatening condition. The police still refuse to release her, and instead, several of them stay at the hospital to keep an eye on her everyday inspite of the fact that she is very sick.

• Lives in Danger at the Dehui City Detention Centre

  Reports have come from the Dehui City Detention Centre in Jilin Province that the Dafa practitioners being detained there have been on a hunger strike for over ten days. They have been subjected to persecution of different degrees, and some of their lives are in danger....We appeal for help to secure the release of these practitioners, who are being tortured on a daily basis at the Dehui City Detention Centre.

• Corpse of Shanghai Dafa Practitioner Beyond Recongition Following Torture

  On October 16, 2003, Lu Xingguo's wife, daughter, and elder brother were suddenly summoned to the Qingpu Drug Rehabilitation Centre. As soon as they arrived there, they were separated and sent to different rooms where dozens of police conducted a so-called "talk" with them, when in fact, the police were intimidating them. Only then did the family learn that Lu Xingguo had died. Yet the callous police deceived the family by claiming that he died of some illness. They did not allow the family to check the body.

• Practitioner Ms Lu Xiufang Callously Released from Jinan Women's Prison only To Die Two Hours Later at Home

  Ms. Lu Xiufang was very determined in continuing her cultivating in Falun Dafa despite the torture she suffered at the hands of the police. On July 21, 2003 Ms. Lu was barely breathing when she was brought home from the Jinan Women's Prison. According to a reliable source, her whole body, including her head, was terribly swollen, and she was covered with injuries. She could not stand or sit on her own and she was a terrible sight to behold. She sadly died within less than two hours after arriving at home.

• On First Day of Detention in Hehuakeng Labour Camp Dafa Practitioner Meng Jincheng Beaten to Death

  It was later confirmed that Meng Jincheng died the same day. That night, the captain of the labour camp did not go home. The second day (the 8th) was a visitation day. Chen Fu cooked up a document claiming that Meng Jincheng died of a certain illness. Later Meng Jincheng's body was cremated before his family could get a chance to take a look at it. After cremation, the corrupt labour camp even asked his family to pay 20,000 Yuan for his medical expenses.

Sometimes they used up to six or seven prods to deal with one practitioner. Even older ladies and unmarried girls were not spared. A prod with over 10,000 volts of electricity burns a blister or a black spot on the human body even when it just slightly touches the skin. Under the influence of an electric current, human muscles twitch and limbs jerk uncontrollably.

He said that Zheng Libo died of sickness, but he refused to explain how she could have died of sickness only two days after being brought to the Police Station. He said, "Okay, Okay," then hung up the phone. Usually, if Falun Dafa practitioners are beaten to death, the "610 Office" and police all say the death was caused by sickness.

  Later, team leader Jia Weijun said during a meeting, "You guys make trouble [He calls practitioner's legal appeals as making trouble]. I will make up evidence to report to the higher ups. I would say that I am fulfilling Jiang's order to crack down on you financially."
