Germany: Supporting the Withdrawal of 37 Million Chinese People from the Communist Party

On May 17th, 2008, in front of St. Michael's Church in central Munich, Falun Gong practitioners put up display boards to expose the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of the Chinese people throughout history. Practitioners also held an art exhibition that depicted the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. -

Edward McMillan-Scott, a Conservative MEP, says he believed the Chinese government was carrying out organ harvesting against those in its prisoners. He cites research by UN for special rapporteur Manfred Novak that three-quarters of China's seven million detainees are Falun Gong followers. -

Holland: Dutch Falun Gong Practitioners Hold a Demonstration in the City of Assen
2008-06-01On May 17th, 2008, Dutch Falun Gong practitioners held a demonstration in the city of Assen to protest against the on-going persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Signatures were gathered for the ‘Millions of signatures’ petition campaign, demanding the Chinese communist regime to immediately stop its persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. After having seen the banners depicting Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted in China and having had explanations about the persecution, many would spontaneously come to the petition table to sign the petition. -

Germany: Rally Protesting against the CCP's Intensification of the Persecution of Falun Gong Before the Olympics
2008-05-30As early as in May last year, the CCP issued a secret announcement ordering “a severe crack-down on illegal organisations ... In order to better meet the 2008 Olympic Games to be held smoothly". Those suppressed are an “assembly of more than three people who do not listen to the advice”, “organisers of illegal organisations”, “Falun Gong practitioners” and “arrest them first and procedures to be handled later”. These secret orders are all openly an affront to the Constitution. -

Sweden: A Nostalgic Look Back at Mr Li Hongzhi Teaching Falun Dafa in Sweden

On April 6th 1995, the founder of Falun Dafa Master Li Hongzhi came to Sweden and hosted five public lectures. From April 14th to April 20th. Master Li held the second overseas Falun Gong study class at Nordgarden in Gothenburg. This class became the last one where Master Li personally taught Falun Gong. At that time, most participants of the class were westerners. -
Switzerland: Practitioners from Switzerland and Italy Celebrate Falun Dafa Day

The beautiful city of Lugano, which is located in the Swiss Italian region, is a famous touring city. On May 17th in spite of heavy rain, Falun Gong practitioners set up a stall in the city centre. Although it was raining continuously, many people still accepted the leaflets distributed by the practitioners with enthusiasm and seriously listened to their explanations. -

2008-05-24On May 9th, 2008, The Sound of Germany – according to news from the European Parliament in Brussels, criticised the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime for human rights abuses. The report said, “An annual human rights report published by Brussels on Thursday raised concerns that the CCP regime has not kept its promise to improve human rights conditions. Members of the European Parliament cited continued censorship of freedom of speech, of freedom of belief, random arrests of dissidents and the high number of executions". -

Celebrating World Falun Dafa Day and celebrating the 16th year since Falun Dafa’s introduction, Greek Falun Gong practitioners from Athens demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and raised awareness about the persecution on 11th May 2008 by the ancient ruins in Athens. Many weekend tourists stopped by and came to understand more about Falun Gong.
