Article from UK Newspaper: Peaceful Protest over Persecution by Chinese Government
2005-09-09'Followers of the eastern practice of Falun Gong protested against persecution in China yesterday. A group of practitioners handed out leaflets, demonstrated exercises and collected signatures on a petition in Abbey Church Yard. The petition, which calls for the release from labour camps of family members of Chinese Falun Gong practitioners who live abroad, will be sent to the British Government. It is hoped that the government will put diplomatic pressure on China to end the persecution which, according to campaigners, has led to more than 2,750 people being tortured to death.' -
United Kingdom: Falun Gong Practitioners submit a petition and signatures to the British Prime Minister's Office
2005-09-08In order to urgently seek the rescue of Falun Gong practitioners taken into custody and persecuted illegally in China, several British practitioners went to London to the British Prime Minister's office at 10 Downing Street on September 1st. They submitted a petition of more than eight thousand signatures to the British Prime Minister Tony Blair. -
Sweden: Thoughts on Malmo Festival
2005-09-08Malmo is the third biggest city in the south of Sweden, elegant and beautiful. The grand Malmo Festival was held from the 20th to the 27th of August. I took part activities to promote Falun Gong that took place over two days during the Festival. -
French Falun Gong Information Centre: Economic Trading and Human Rights
2005-09-08From September 5th to September 12th, Zhejiang Province held “Zhejiang Week” in Paris. Taking advantage of this opportunity, the French Falun Gong Information Centre sent out a declaration to the press, economic trading and human rights organisations, and relevant government divisions in the hope that French society might pay attention to the bloody persecution of Falun Gong and that the emphasis on morality and the respect for human rights are guarantees to normal business. -

Daily sightseeing tourists came and went in a continuous stream and practitioners’ performance attracted much attention. People stood in a circle and watched with great interest. -
Latvia: Introducing Falun Dafa and Exposing the Persecution in Auce City
2005-09-07On August 20th, 2005, invited by the Chairman of Congress, Latvian Falun Gong practitioners came to Auce City. A great number of passers-by gathered in front of the display boards that practitioners had set up. Two practitioners demonstrated the five Falun Gong exercises, some distributed leaflets and others talked to interested people. -

2005-09-07The Danish Falun Gong Association intends to file a lawsuit against Jia Chunwang, the former minister of public security, for the systematic torture and killing of thousands of innocent practitioners of Falun Gong. And Denmark must not let this man go, explains the association’s spokesperson Marco Hsu. “Jia Chunwang is at the top of the so-called “6-10 Office”, which was set up with the sole purpose of eliminating Falun Gong. Therefore he is responsible for all that has happened and he will be brought to court.” -
Denmark: Danish Falun Gong Practitioners File a Lawsuit against Jia Chunwang, the Former Minister of the Public Security Bureau and the Head of the "610" Office in China
2005-09-06On August 28th, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners in Denmark filed a lawsuit with the Danish police, which requested the Danish procurator to arrest Jia Chunwang who is currently visiting Denmark. As the former Minister of the Public Security Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Jia committed serious crimes in persecuting Falun Gong. -
Finland: Holding an Anti-torture Exhibition to Let More People Know the Facts of the Persecution
2005-09-06On August 14th, some Falun Gong practitioners from North Europe and Latvia gathered at the busiest business centre in Helsinki to let people know about Falun Gong and the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. They demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and held an anti-torture exhibition. Tourists from various countries signed the petition one after another. -
France: Promoting Falun Gong on Place Denfert-Rochereau in Paris
2005-09-06Place Denfert-Rochereau, located in the 14th district of Southern Paris, is famous for its large lion sculpture expressing France’s courage and determination. It is also a busy traffic inter-section leading to the Orly Airport. On August the 27th, 2005, French Falun Gong practitioners came here as part of a nationwide tour to promote Falun Gong. -

Finland: Falun Gong Practitioners Invited to Koli to Introduce the Practice
2005-09-05Practitioners introduced the practice at a health fare in Pyhä-Koli, and a teacher from Joensuu learned the exercises. She wanted to learn more about the persecution and about the practice of Falun Gong. A few months later she made a call and asked if we could come to Koli and introduce the practice to her students at the college in North-Karelia. -
Sweden: Exhibition of a Thousand Lotus Flowers
2005-09-05An exhibition entitled “A Thousand Lotus Flowers” was held in a public library in Stockholm, Sweden for the first time between August 20th and August 30th. In the exhibition, practitioners related a twelve year-old girl called Evelina’s dream of making a thousand paper Lotus Flowers to end the persecution in China during last Easter. -

2005-09-05"In view of your forthcoming visit to China to hold talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao next week, we wish to draw to your attention the plight of the millions of Falun Gong practitioners who have suffered at the hands of the Chinese authorities since the practice of Falun Gong was outlawed by former President Jiang Zemin in July 1999. Since then nearly 3,000 practitioners have died in custody as the result of torture by a leadership which is inextricably linked to the Chinese Communist Party."
