  • Ukraine: Introducing Falun Gong to a Group of Disabled People in Lviv

    On the 28th of January, practitioners in the city of Lviv held an activity in a local arts centre introducing Falun Gong to deaf, mute and disabled people. The participants showed great interest in the Falun Gong exercise demonstration. Nevertheless they were very puzzled as to why the persecution is happening. Practitioners explained to everyone present what Falun Gong is and why the persecution is happening. Around fifty people attended the activity. Practitioners answered their questions and had a discussion with them through a sign language interpreter.
  • Germany: 2005’s First Falun Gong Information Day held in Essen City

    In order to rescue their fellow practitioners who are still imprisoned and tortured in China, practitioners gathered in Essen to continue raising awareness of the human rights violations in and asking people to add their voices to the worldwide call for those responsible for the genocide campaign against Falun Gong to be brought to justice.
  • Russia: Receiving Support in Moscow whilst Raising Awareness about the Persecution Against Falun Gong

    Moscow practitioners gathered in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to raise awareness about the persecution. Large photos exposing the torture used to force practitioners to renounce their beliefs were displayed. Since the genocide against Falun Gong was launched, human rights workers have documented over 38,000 specific cases of torture or severe abuse.
  • United Kingdom: The People of Bristol Call for Jiang to be Brought to Justice

    Practitioners held an activity to promote Falun Gong and tell people about the persecution in the centre of Bristol. Many people stopped to find out more and signed their names on a petition calling for Jiang Zemin, China’s former leader and chief instigator of the genocide against Falun Gong, to be brought to justice through a court of law.
  • France: Exposing the Lies of the "Self-Immolation" and Presenting the Truth about Falun Gong Practice

    Recently, China’s state-controlled Central TV Station (CCTV) once again slandered Falun Gong using the staged self-immolation incident in Tiananmen Square from 2001. Falun Gong practitioners in Paris held two separate activities to raise awareness about the persecution and let people know the truth about this self-immolation incident.
  • A Touching Story about a Happy Elderly Lady in Ukraine

    A kind elderly lady explained how she overcame difficulties and her poor health to come to attend the art exhibition held by Falun Gong practitioners. The lady carefully viewed each painting and did not want to leave. She was so happy that she looked as if she were a child again. The kind old lady felt extremely thankful for being able to view the paintings.
  • Finland: Exhibition Displays the Beauty of Falun Dafa and the Injustice of the Persecution

    The exhibition outlines the history of Falun Dafa and explains in detail about the practice, as well as the benefits people who practise it have received such as increased mental and physical wellbeing. It shows the peaceful resistance and worldwide appeals for ending this serious human rights tragedy in China.
  • Austria: Experience Sharing Weekend held in Vienna

    Austrian practitioners organised an experience sharing and Fa study meeting in one of Vienna’s youth hostels. This meeting was very beneficial for everyone present in their effort to develop a better cultivation environment. The new practitioners had the opportunity to meet in smaller groups with veteran practitioners and ask questions about their cultivation.
  • Chinese Consulate Refuses to Extend a Chinese Medical Doctor's Passport in UK

    It has been more than three months since I submitted my passport. The Chinese authorities have deprived me of my basic rights as a Chinese citizen without any reason or explanation. My practice of Falun Gong fully complies with the Chinese Constitution, which ensures Chinese citizens the right of freedom of belief. What the Chinese Consulate has done does not conform to Chinese law or international legal regulations. Through this description of what has actually happened to me, I hope they can seriously review what they have done, and not to keep blindly following orders from Jiang’s evil group.
  • Ukraine: The People of Ukraine welcome “The Journey of Compassion” Painting Exhibition

    Ukrainian Falun Gong practitioners held a painting exhibition entitled “The Journey of Compassion”. They gave out lots of invitations and also held a “Petals of Peace” activity, a nine-day lecture seminar for people to watch Master Li’s lecture series and a petition signature collection calling for an end to the persecution.
  • Germany: Telling People about the Persecution during a Popular Mardi Gras Parade in Offenburg

    There were several thousand spectators and the information stall was in the middle of a large crowd. There were also re-enactments of the torture methods used by the Chinese Government on Falun Gong practitioners to force them to renounce their beliefs. Many passers-by stopped and quietly viewed the displays. They appeared shocked by the brutal and inhuman violations of human rights against Falun Gong practitioners in China. Although the environment for the parade was cheerful and merry, many of the passersby were deeply touched and agreed that one should never forget that such terrible things are happening in the world.
  • “Plum Blossom in Snow” will Premiere at the Gothenburg Movie Festival

    The documentary “Plum Blossom in Snow” is about how Falun Gong practitioners are treated in contemporary China. A man’s tragic fate is narrated by his wife and daughter after he was killed for his belief in Falun Gong. The movie will be shown in Hagatheater, the city museum, during the Gothenburg movie festival between the 28th of January and the 5th of February 2005.
  • Slovakia: Introducing Falun Gong in the Small City of Seneca

    Falun Gong practitioners visited Seneca to introduce Falun Gong and draw public attention to the persecution of the practice. Passers-by stopped to look at the poster boards. They were shocked. Many of them asked how something like this could happen in today’s world and signed a petition calling for an end to the persecution.
  • United Kingdom: Introducing Falun Dafa and Exposing the Persecution in the Heart of London

    On January 29th, 2005, UK practitioners held an activity to introduce Falun Dafa and expose the persecution near St Martin-in-the-Fields church, just a short walk from London’s Trafalgar Square. Practitioners distributed leaflets, demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and talked to passersby about the facts behind the brutal suppression taking place in Mainland China.
  • Germany: Stories from the Falun Gong Information Site at Cologne Cathedral

    To enable more people to understand Falun Gong and the persecution taking place against the practice in China, German Falun Gong practitioners set up an information site at Cologne Cathedral. Through practitioners’ efforts, more and more people have come to know the truth. Here I would like to write down some examples of the touching stories and experiences that happen every day at the cathedral.
