  • Russia: St. Petersburg Rally Calls for Attention to Falun Gong Practitioners' Human Rights in China

    Some practitioners held banners and talked to people about the inhumane persecution happening in China; others demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises whilst some practitioners walked to a nearby park and a shopping centre to distribute leaflets. Afterwards, a peaceful vigil took place outside the Chinese Embassy. Practitioners felt that more and more people are starting to learn about Falun Gong and step forward to oppose the genocide against practitioners in China. Lots of people were interested and had questions to ask. They listened very carefully to the answers and then stated that they wanted to help.
  • Chinese Communist Regime Increases its Propaganda Campaign Against Falun Gong Outside of China

    Between February 6th and 8th, Finnish Falun Gong practitioners received numerous offensive phone calls, which most likely originated from the Chinese Government. Two Falun Gong practitioners revealed how they received over 400 calls that slandered Falun Gong and spread lies about the peaceful qigong exercise practice. In total, practitioners in Finland received close to 1500 calls. This is an alarming example of how the persecution campaign started by Jiang Zemin extends over Chinese borders.
  • Ukraine: Practitioners Receive a Warm Welcome at “Valentine's Day” Activities

    Ukrainian Dafa practitioners were invited to attend a “Love and Friendship” performance held by a children’s library, as part of Valentine’s Day celebrations. They performed a beautiful lotus flower dance and held an activity in the name of ‘Petals of Peace’. 'Petals of Peace' symbolises hope for all the children who are suffering during the on-going persecution of Falun Gong in China.
  • Germany: Stories of Promoting Falun Gong and Raising Awareness of the Persecution

    A Falun Dafa Information Day was held in Nurnberg, a city located in southern Germany, on December 10th 2004. A middle-aged gentleman looked at every photo and illustrated drawing very carefully and then discussed them with several practitioners. He spent almost two hours developing an in-depth understanding of what Falun Gong is and how it is being violently persecuted in China.
  • European Falun Gong Practitioners held a Grand Chinese New Year Parade in Paris

    The parade consisted of a waist drum formation, traditional Chinese fan dancing and lotus flower dancing, costumes from China’s most prosperous Tang Dynasty period and a Falun Gong exercise demonstration float. Firecrackers, gongs, drums and elegant dances expressed heartfelt New Year wishes to everyone.
  • Belgium: Schoolchildren are Enthusiastic to Hear about Falun Gong and are Concerned about the Persecution

    On the 16th of November, practitioners from Belgium were invited to a school in the city of Hasselt to introduce Falun Gong and the persecution against the practice in China to a class of ten to twelve year-old children. The children were very enthusiastic. The visit was successful and the teacher was very pleased that the practitioners were able to attend.
  • Sweden: Falun Gong practitioners Appeal for an End the Persecution at the Chinese Embassy in Stockholm

    On February 6th 2005, on the eve of the Chinese New Year, Stockholm Falun Gong practitioners gathered at the Chinese Embassy to make a peaceful appeal. They called for the ongoing brutal persecution against Falun Gong in China to end immediately.
  • Switzerland: Davos Residents and Officials from the World Economic Forum Support Human Right for China's Persecuted Dafa Practitioners

    At the end of January 2005, the annual World Economic Forum was held in the famous Swiss ski-resort, Davos. Many countries sent their top officials to attend. During the last two days of the meeting (29th and 30th) Dafa practitioners in Switzerland organised anti-torture exhibitions and activities to let people know about Falun Gong.
  • Letter from Ukrainian Practitioners to Officials from the Chinese Embassy

    "In the human race’s history, those people who have contributed to truth and justice are being respected and admired by people, and what’s more they have left compassion and equity in people’s memories forever. In the New Year, we hope that the representatives of China in Ukraine will manifest their courage and justice and can all stand on justice’s side, together upholding human rights and legality.   • French Officials Send Messages of Support for a Falun Gong Parade in Paris: "We fully support your actions for freedom."

    On the weekend of the 12th and 13th of February, European Falun Gong practitioners held a large-scale parades in Paris. These parades celebrated traditional Chinese culture and Chinese New Year, as well as helping people to learn more about Falun Gong and the brutal persecution that is taking place in China at the moment. Falun Gong practitioners received the following messages of support.
  • European and U.S. Governments Take Notice of Harassing Phone Calls Made to Falun Gong Practitioners

    During the time of the 2005 Chinese New Year, many Falun Gong practitioners in Asia, Europe, the United States, Australia and other parts of the world received anonymous phone calls. Most of the phone calls could not be traced, but some practitioners' caller ID programs showed the calls originating in Mainland China. At present, police authorities in many countries have commenced an investigation.
  • Czech Newspapers Report on a Falun Gong Activity in Zlin

    On the 1st of February, Falun Gong practitioners from the Czech Republic visited the city of Zlin and held an activity in the Square of Peace. Many people in Zlin were interested in learning to practise Falun Gong. Journalists from three newspapers attended the appeal and interviewed practitioners.   • United Kingdom: Introducing Falun Dafa and Exposing the Persecution by the River Thames in London

    On Saturday February 5th, visitors to the New Tate Gallery in London were able to see demonstrations of the Falun Gong exercises. As always, many passers-by had questions to ask; they watched the exercises, took the information available, and learned of the great benefits people have received from practising Falun Gong.
  • Sweden: Stories from the Appeal at the Chinese Consulate in Gothenburg

    Over the last five years, since Jiang Zemin launched the persecution against Falun Gong, practitioners have been at the Chinese Consulate in Gothenburg appealing for an end to the suffering of the innocent people who practise Falun Gong in China. In an attempt to conceal their violations of human rights and of China’s own constitution, the consulate has now taken action to limit the peaceful appeals. Practitioners received support from politicians and the media, who published several supportive articles exposing the Chinese Communist regime’s attempts to deny people their fundamental human rights.
  • United Kingdom: Anti-Torture Exhibition Tour Arrives in Birmingham

    Passers-by carefully read the poster displays introducing Falun Gong and exposing the persecution of the practice by the Chinese communist regime. People queued to sign a petitions calling for an end to the persecution and for the perpetrators behind these human rights atrocities to be brought to justice.
