Sweden: Celebrating Falun Dafa Day in Lerum

Sunday 30th of January was the third annual Falun Dafa Day in Lerum. A lot of shops close on Sundays so the practitioners met outside the Water Palace where there is a big swimming pool, gym and healthcare facilities. Lots of people passed by this area, took leaflets and waited in a queue to sign the petition calling for an end to the persecution. -

Latvian Falun Gong practitioners gathered at the Chinese Embassy to appeal for an immediate end to the inhumane persecution happening to Falun Gong practitioners in China. Between 200,000 and 1 million have been illegally sent to forced labour camps without trials where human rights workers have documented over 38,000 specific cases of torture or severe abuse. -
Czech Newspaper Rovnost: Falun Gong Practitioners in Znojmo Inform the Public about the Violent Persecution

People who were passing through the centre of Znojmo today witnessed an uncommon scene. Three men in meditation positions were performing the Chinese practice of Falun Gong. This silent protest was to raise awareness about the brutal persecution of practitioners of this method in distant China. Their fellow practitioners were distributing material informing the public about and describing the shocking methods of torture that the Chinese police utilise against Falun Gong practitioners. -
EFGIC: Homes Across Europe and North America Receive Chinese Communist Propaganda Phone Calls
2005-02-08LONDON [EFGIC] – Scores of individuals in the U.S., Canada and at least a dozen countries throughout Europe including the U.K., reported receiving phone calls yesterday with recorded messages unmistakably from China’s Communist regime. The messages contained propaganda demonizing Falun Gong and claiming the Chinese Government is defending “human rights” by “saving” people from the traditional Chinese practice. -
Italy: Raising Awareness about the Persecution to Tourists at the Coliseum in Rome

Ever since July 2004, Dafa practitioners have been displaying information boards at this tourist spot at least three days a week. While some of the Chinese tourists approach practitioners to take a leaflet and find out more, others are scared and keep their distance, simply staring at the banners reading, “Falun Dafa is Good” and “Righteousness will Prevail and Bring Jiang to Justice”. -

The Epoch Times: Wave of Harassing Phone Calls with Communist Propaganda
2005-02-07Across Europe and North America, people received coordinated waves of pre-recorded phone calls on Sunday. The content defames Falun Gong, in both English and Chinese language. “This is harassment, it’s a provocative act,” said Falun Dafa Infocenter spokesperson Erping Zhang, who personally received six of the calls. The Epoch Times first learned of the calls in Europe. People in Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Holland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Russia, Sweden, United Kingdom and Switzerland all reported the calls. -

Children from Pomezi School expressed hope that the children of Falun Gong practitioners in China can be reunited with their wrongfully imprisoned parents and that the orphans can find a good home. -
Article from German Newspaper "The Sächsische": Rescued from a Forced Labour Camp

While she suffered, German friends and acquaintances had mounted a rescue effort. They collected signatures demanding her freedom and distributed postcards, asking that people send them directly to the slave labour camp. On January 4th 2004, Xiong Wei gained her freedom. She is now in Germany. -
Sweden: Students at Karlstad University Enjoyed Learning the Falun Gong Exercises

The Student Sports Association of Karlstad University (KSIF) invited local Falun Gong practitioners to teach some of the Falun Gong exercises on their campus. Nearly forty students took part. After the organisers received many a lot of positive feedback, the KSIF started to include the Falun Gong exercises in their weekly extracurricular activity programme. -

People passing the posters outlining the persecution against Falun Gong in China and the torture methods used to force practitioners to renounce their beliefs often stopped to read them all. Germany: International Human Rights Organisation and Falun Gong Practitioners hold a Joint Seminar on Human Rights Violations in China

Falun Gong practitioners introduced Falun Gong, explained a few cases of severe persecution against practitioners in China and then told the high school students at the seminar how the persecution was the brainchild of China’s former leader Jiang Zemin, who has a personal vendetta against the practice.
