  • Legal Action in the Netherlands Against Chinese Leaders for Crimes of Genocide and Torture

    On December the 1st 2004, the Dutch Falun Gong Association filed a legal complaint based on crimes of Genocide and Torture committed by Jiang Zemin, Li Lanqing and Bo Xilai against Falun Gong practitioners. This is the first time in the legal history of the Netherlands that a complaint has been filed based on Genocide.
  • Spain: Police Protect Falun Gong Practitioners during Hu Jintao’s State Visit

    The police officers were extremely worried about practitioners’ safety after a group of Falun Gong practitioners were attacked and harassed during Hu Jintao’s visit to Argentina. Upon seeing practitioners, the Spanish police officers immediately asked, “Do you know about the violent incident that occurred in Argentina? We will not allow that kind of thing happen here!”
  • France: Anti-torture Exhibition Exposes the Crimes of Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist Party

    Dafa practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition in Clermont Ferrand. They exposed the heinous crimes committed by former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin and members of his regime and helped more people learn about the malicious nature of the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners. Many people supported the practitioners in calling for an end to these human rights abuses.

    She was taken to a women’s labour camp without trial, where she regularly suffered torture to re-educate her. Hearing about her arrest, her brother turned to the public with the help of the International Society for Human Rights (IGFM). They managed to collect more than 40,000 signatures, write support letters and inform the media. They also informed the federal government. Thus, the Chancellor personally wrote a letter to the Chinese President pleading for Xiong Wei’s release.

    People were busy shopping for Christmas on the last Saturday in November but still found time to show their concern for the Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted in China. Lots of people passed our stalls and took leaflets. After they had read through the leaflet carefully and found out more, they came back to sign a petition to help stop the persecution.

    After learning and practising the five sets of exercises, he felt Falun Dafa was very good. This young Turkish man who had just obtained the Fa started to tell people the facts about Falun Gong. A Chinese textile delegation with over thirty members visited Turkey and stayed in a hotel not far from his home. He was delighted to find out about this. With eagerness, he found the person in charge of the delegation. The enthusiastic young man told him how good Falun Gong is and that he practises Falun Gong.     The practitioners set up a table for collecting petition signatures and some poster boards revealing how Falun Gong practitioners are being tortured in China. They demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises. People could see that the exercises are very peaceful and starkly contrast with the abuses that people who practise these exercises in China are subject to.

  • UK Government 2004 Human Rights Report is Critical of China’s Human Rights Practice and Treatment of Falun Gong Practitioners

    The UK Government published its 2004 Human Rights Report on the 10th of November. The Report stated, “The UK Government continues to have serious concerns about basic human rights in China…Our on-going concerns include: the extensive use of the death penalty; the use of torture; the continuing harassment of political dissidents, religious practitioners and adherents of the Falun Gong spiritual movement; the situation in Tibet and Xinjiang; and severe restrictions on basic freedoms of speech, association and religion.”
  • Informing a Royal, Political and Business Delegation from Belgium about the Persecution Against Falun Gong Prior to their Economic Mission to China

    On November the 20th, a Belgian delegation consisting of Prince Filip and Princess Mathilde, the Federal, Wallonian and Flemish Minister of Economic Affairs, some other politicians and 470 business people, left Belgium for an economic mission to China. Before their departure, Belgian practitioners sent letters to and called the Prince and the Princess, the politicians and as many business people as possible in order to let them know the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong.
  • United Kingdom: People from the Ancient City of York Support Falun Gong Practitioners' Anti-Persecution Campaign

    Posters were displayed to expose the torture methods used in Chinese labour camps and prisons to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their belief. Practitioners collected petition signatures calling for an immediate end to the persecution and for bringing the prime instigator of the persecution to justice.
