EFGIC: U.S. House of Representatives Passes Resolution Condemning Chinese Government Oppression of Americans over Falun Gong
2004-10-08Citing cases in which Chinese-government agents targeted U.S. officials, residents, and citizens from New York to San Francisco, the resolution calls upon the regime to immediately stop interfering with basic freedoms in America. It states that the P.R.C. government should “cease using the diplomatic missions in the United States to spread falsehoods about the nature of Falun Gong.” -
United Kingdom: Exposing the Persecution of Falun Dafa at a Political Party Conference in Brighton
2004-10-08A small anti-torture exhibition was held by a few Falun Gong practitioners just outside the entrance to the conference hall. The purpose of this activity was to use the opportunity to inform the delegates, public and media about the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners in China, which has already claimed at least 1059 innocent lives. -

Falun Gong Practitioner Xiong Wei in Germany Reveals the Inside Story of Life in a Chinese Labour Camp
2004-10-07To many Germans, “Xiong Wei” is not an unfamiliar name. She studied in Berlin from 1993 to 1999, returning to China in 2000 to work in the Beijing branch of a German company. Xiong Wei was arrested in Beijing on January 5th, 2002 for distributing information about Falun Gong. Later, she was sent to Beijing Women’s Forced Labour Camp and detained there for two years. -
Holland: Successful Start for National City Tour to Raise Awareness of the Persecution of Falun Gong
2004-10-07On September 30th, Dutch Falun Gong practitioners began a city tour through all major cities in the southern provinces of Holland to raise awareness of the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong in China. The first location was in a square in Maastricht called ‘Square 1992’, coincidentally named after the same year Falun Gong was introduced to the public. The item was broadcast the same day in the local news and the event was reported in several local newspapers. -

UK: Anti-Torture Exhibition Tour Successfully held in Scotland
2004-10-06From the 24th to the 27th of September 2004, UK Falun Gong practitioners organised an Anti-Torture exhibition tour in three major cities in Scotland: Glasgow, Aberdeen and Dundee. The exhibitions attracted many local people. Streams of people came to sign our “Bring Jiang to Justice” petition. -
Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Participate in a Cultural Festival and Demonstrate the Exercises on Stage
2004-10-06To make the Munich Beer Festival extra special, the Munich City Government’s Cultural Office, Social Affairs Office and Foreign Affairs Committee jointly held a Cultural Festival celebration on September the 25th. Several dozen groups were invited to participate in the celebration, including Falun Gong practitioners who were invited to perform on stage. -

Radio Free Asia: Xiong Wei is Released and Returns to Germany
2004-10-05Mrs Xiong Wei, who worked in the Beijing branch office of a German company after completing her study in Germany was arrested in January 2001 and imprisoned for two years because she distributed flyers about the Chinese government's persecution of Falun Gong. The release was made possible by the joint efforts of German human right organisations, the German government and Falun Gong practitioners. -
Germany: Introducing Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution in Donauschingen
2004-10-05Falun Gong practitioners from as far away as Brussels and Geneva gathered in downtown Hanselbrunnen to introduce Falun Gong and explain China’s ongoing persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. This was the first time that such activities were held in this area. We found almost all of the people here had never heard of Falun Gong. The passersby were all sympathetic about the suffering of practitioners in China. -
UK Foreign Office Expresses Serious Concerns Over Human Rights Abuses Against Falun Gong Practitioners in China
2004-10-04On the 15th of September 2004, it was stated in the House of Commons records that Mrs Anne Campbell MP asked Mr Bill Rammell, Foreign Office Minister, what assessment he had made of the persecution of Falun Gong in China and what action the UK government was taking to draw attention to this persecution. In his response, Mr Rammell said that the UK government had serious concerns regarding the human rights abuses against Falun Gong practitioners and had raised these concerns with the Chinese authorities.
