  • The First Secretary of the French Socialist Party Expresses Concern about the Mistreatment by the French Police Towards Falun Gong Practitioners

    In January 2004, influenced by the slanderous propaganda and under pressure from the Jiang regime, Paris police who were not aware of the facts mistreated Falun Gong practitioners. Recently, the First Secretary of the French Socialist Party and MP Mr Francois Hollande wrote to practitioners, saying that the Chairman of the Parliamentary Socialist Party has asked the MP responsible for Rights and Legal Affairs to take a look at this incident.
  • Ireland: Exposing the Torture Methods Used Against Falun Gong Practitioners in China

    On Saturday July 17th in Dublin, a group of Falun Dafa practitioners held an Anti-Torture exhibition demonstrating the methods used in Chinese labour camps, prisons and detention centres to force practitioners to give up their belief. The exhibition took place in the centre of Dublin on Dublin’s busiest thoroughfare. Crowds of people watched the display in disbelief at the horror of what is happening in China today.
  • Finland: Practitioners in Finland Expose the Brutality of the Five Years of Persecution Against Falun Gong with a Live Anti-Torture Exhibition (Part I)

    On Sunday the 18th of July, practitioners from Nordic countries held activities in Helsinki Central Park to appeal for an end to this persecution. Five years ago in July 1999, Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin banned Falun Gong in China and launched a systematic and vicious campaign of genocide, which has claimed more than a thousand innocent lives to this day.

The exhibition was entitled "Persecution Meets Principle" and it exposed the sharp contrasts between the five years of genocide against Falun Gong in China, and the peaceful practice of Falun Gong.

  • United Kingdom: Photo Report – First UK Anti-Torture Exhibition held Opposite the Houses of Parliament

    On Sunday July the 18th, UK Falun Gong practitioners staged an anti-torture exhibition opposite the Houses of Parliament in London. People took leaflets and talked with practitioners to learn more about the situation, and many signed a petition calling for the chief instigator of this persecution, former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin, to be brought to justice.

    Practitioners handed out information about the shooting-incident in South Africa to passers-by and many people stopped to watch the exercise demonstrations. A lot of people were already aware of the persecution and expressed their worries after hearing that it is also happening outside China.

    LONDON (EFGIC) – A Chinese language film about the persecution of Falun Gong is continuing to gain wide praise, most recently winning top honours at the 27th Annual Philadelphia International Film Festival (Philafilm).“Sandstorm,” a movie that depicts the moral awakening of a policeman involved in torturing Falun Gong practitioners, received the Philafilm’s Gold Award for Best Feature Film on July 3, 2004. Sandstorm also won Best Feature Film at the deadCenter Film Festival in Oklahoma City in June and a “Festival Special Prize” at the Law & Society International Film Festival in Moscow in April.
  • Russia: Irkutsk TV Station Broadcasts the Truth of the Persecution of Falun Gong

    More and more Russian media reported on the persecution of Falun Gong in China. When we distributed leaflets about the shooting incident in South Africa and lawsuits against Jiang Zemin in many countries, three middle-aged women from the former Soviet Union asked me in Russian, “What is this?" I answered, “This is a peaceful method of cultivation, Falun Dafa, which is being persecuted in China." On hearing this, they said to me that they had seen a report about it on TV.”
  • Fadu in Sweden (5): Fadu's Innocent Dancing

    Fadu and her mother arrived at the school during break-time on a morning in early June. The children greeted them, all striving to be the first to call out, “Fadu is here!”, “Hello Fadu!” The Swedish children very much appreciated Fadu’s dance movements. Fadu’s dance received lots of applause from the Swedish pupils and moved several teachers to tears.
