Practitioners in Geneva were Interviewed by a Radio Station
2004-03-31Several hundred Falun Gong practitioners from all parts of the world gathered in Geneva for the opening of the sixtieth session of the United Nations Human Rights Commission, to appeal peacefully for a halt to the persecution that has been raging in China for almost five years. The Swiss Falun Gong Association and two victims of the persecution were interviewed by Radio City, a local radio station, for a broadcast devoted entirely to Falun Gong. -

A Successful Photo Exhibition in the University of Geneva
2004-03-30During the 60th session of the United Nations Human Rights Commission, the Falun Gong Association of Geneva University held an exhibition of photographs entitled, “Falun Dafa and Human Rights” on campus. Quite a few students already knew a bit about the persecution of Falun Gong in China, but the cruelty and barbarity were beyond their imagination. -
Spain: Promoting Falun Gong and Explaining the Facts in Lerida City
2004-03-30After attending the Health Fair in Lerida, Spain, practitioners from Madrid and Barcelona returned to Lerida City on March the 22nd to help local practitioners set up a new practice site. It was a fine day with a clear blue sky. Early in the morning, people came to the spacious area of grass in the centre of the city to learn the Falun Gong exercises. -

EFGIC: Worldwide Appeals Identify Four Chinese Officials Who Lead the Atrocities against Falun Gong
2004-03-28'In more than 20 countries during the past few months, Falun Gong practitioners have been holding appeals and press conferences to highlight four Chinese officials who lead the campaign to “eradicate Falun Gong” in China. Two of the four, former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin and Politburo Standing Committee Member Luo Gan, have already been the target of several lawsuits and their names are frequently cited in documents detailing the persecution of Falun Gong. The other two, Minister of Public Security Zhou Yongkang and “6-10 Office” Chief Liu Jing, have –until the recent appeals – not been widely named in connection with the atrocities against Falun Gong.' -
Switzerland: Promoting Falun Gong and Explaining the Facts in Biel City
2004-03-28On March the 20th, Swiss Dafa practitioners held activities in Biel City to promote Falun Gong and let people know the facts about the persecution. Local newspapers and radio stations also came to interview the practitioners. Russia: Telling the Facts to the Precious Chinese People
2004-03-28Many Chinese people visit Irkutsk. Most go to the shopping square downtown. In the beginning, they were not very interested in the truth-clarification materials that we had placed in the shops, but now it is much better. Most are willing to take the newspapers and Video-CDs that explain the truth about Falun Gong. We also hang up banners reading “Falun Dafa is good”, “Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance” and “Falun Dafa will bring you a Beautiful Future.” -

EFGIC: 30 Torture and Severe Abuse-related Deaths of Falun Gong Practitioners Reported in February
2004-03-27LONDON (EFGIC) – During the month of February 2004, details of 30 deaths of Falun Gong practitioners in China were uncovered despite a continued black-out maintained by Chinese authorities on information about Falun Gong-related cases. Many of the deaths occurred in the past few months, while some were deaths from 2002 and 2001 that have only recently been uncovered. -
French MP Suggests an Investigation of the Paris Incident
2004-03-27The Celebration of the Chinese New Year in Paris this February was marked by the harassment of Falun Gong practitioners by the French police, who were under pressure from the Chinese government. A French Falun Gong practitioner wrote a letter to his MP. The MP Mr. Alain Marleix replied and suggested that the incident be investigated. Mr. Marleix immediately forwarded the practitioner’s letter to the president of UMP, his political party, and suggested an investigation of this incident. He also expressed his concern to the relevant departments. -
Swiss Members of Parliament sent Speeches to the Falun Gong Anti-Persecution Press Conference in Geneva
2004-03-27On March the 15th, Mr. Ueli Leuenberger, member of the Swiss Federal Parliament, and Ms. Maria Roth-Bernasconi, councillor of Geneva State, sent speeches to the anti-persecution press conference held by Falun Gong practitioners at the Places Des Nations. In Mr. Leuenberger’s letter, he indicated his support for practitioners’ efforts to promote the value of human rights in China.
