Special Report by Geneva Broadcasting Station on the Persecution of Falun Gong

Hundreds of Falun Gong practitioners from all over the world gathered together in Geneva, at the opening of the 60th United Nation Human Rights Conference, to peacefully appeal for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China, which has lasted for 5 years. Geneva Broadcasting station interviewed the Swiss Falun Dafa Association, as well as two practitioners who had personally encountered persecution. -
Spain: Telling the Truth at “Immigration, Freedom Land” Symposium at Comillas University
2004-04-05On March the 18th, Spanish Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate in the “Immigration, Freedom Land” symposium at Comillas University in Madrid. The Falun Gong practitioners told the audience that Jiang Zemin’s regime has orchestrated a bloody suppression of millions of Falun Gong practitioners in China, and extended this persecution beyond the mainland, into democratic countries. -
An Editor of a Spanish Chinese Newspaper: Today I Met a True Falun Gong Practitioner
2004-04-04"There was a Chinese man sitting on the table next to mine. It turned out that he was the editor of a Chinese newspaper in Spain. He said that he knew about Falun Gong and read Falun Dafa websites. He also said that he has never written articles to slander and attack Falun Gong. The Chinese Embassy put pressure on the newspaper to write such reports. But he had his own standard of behaviour and would not go against it and write anything against his will." -
Radio Free Asia: Germany will Support US Resolution Condemning China’s Human Rights

In response, the Chinese government not only put forward a White Paper to defend its position, but also tried to persuade some member African nations to shun the resolution. Spain: The Ambassador to Chile Replied to a Letter from Falun Gong Practitioners
2004-04-04'You mentioned in your letter that China (Jiang’s regime) persecuted the human rights of the Falun Gong group who persevere in practicing a traditional Chinese meditation practice. For this reason, I have passed all this information to the foreign department of my country. Special Interview with a German Practitioner: Legalization of the Falun Symbol in Germany Is Significant
2004-04-04In Germany, there is a law that prohibits the display of the Nazi Swastika or other similar symbols. To someone who knows nothing about Falun Gong, the Falun Symbol might be wrongly associated with its Nazi counterpart. The Chairman of the German Falun Gong Association received an indictment from his local district court, on the charge that displaying the Falun symbol on the German Falun Dafa Association’s website was illegal. This interview follows a year of investigations and court proceedings. -
Announcement by China Mental Health Watch: Investigating Mental Torture and Misuse of Mental Institutions in the Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners in China
2004-04-03Ever since the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners began on July 20, 1999, the media and human rights organisations around the world continuously reported on the Chinese Government's cruelty towards Falun Gong practitioners, including psychiatric abuse. According to incomplete data, about 1,000 healthy Falun Gong practitioners were forcibly sent to mental institutions, and many were forcibly injected with psychotropic drugs. They received forced electro-shock and some were tied up and force-fed for long periods of time. At least 10 practitioners died from this type of maltreatment. Many of these practitioners were held in hospitals for as long as two and a half years. At least ninety mental institutions in China participated in this particular part of the persecution. -
Russia: Exposing the Evil Persecution through an Art Exhibition
2004-04-03Chinese artist Zhang Cuiying returned once again to Russia to exhibit her paintings. She had just successfully held an art exhibition in a large city in Eastern Siberia. Mrs Zhang then went on to Pjatigorsk City in the Caucasus Mountains, which is a journey of about ten thousand miles. The exhibition was held at the central library on March the 22nd. Before the opening ceremony began, many people were already gathering inside the exhibition hall. All wanted to admire Mrs Zhang’s wonderful pictures. -

Germany: Clarifying the Facts in a Radio Interview

So, several days ago, a practitioner from Karlsruhe and I went to the radio station. While we waited in the hall, we introduced Falun Gong to the receptionist who took a deep interest in Falun Gong. Practitioners meet with United Nations Journalists in Geneva
2004-04-01For the opening session of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights at Geneva on Thursday the 11th of March 2004, the Swiss Falun Gong Association organized a meeting with United Nations journalists, to give them the latest news on the suppression of Falun Gong and on the peaceful means being implemented to combat it. Journalists of the major press agencies showed their interest by continuing a discussion with practitioners for the duration of the press conference. -
Sweden: Falun Gong recieves Warm Support at Sweden's Largest Mind and Body Fair

On March the 27th and 28th Falun Gong was displayed at Swedens largest body and mind fair in Liljeholmen, Stockholm. The fair, which is very popular amongst spiritual seekers and people who are interested in alternative health care, attracted thousands of visitors. Many payed a lot of attention to the Falun Gong booth where practitioners explained the facts and demonstrated the exercises.
