They displayed banners and poster boards exposing the persecution, demonstrated the exercises, and invited people from every sector of life to make speeches.
  • NTDTV Awarded Court Inquiry in Lawsuit Against Eutelsat

    On June 16, 2008, NTDTV's broadcast over China was suddenly cut off. At the time, the French satellite company Eutelsat blamed the termination on a "power anomaly." But later, Reporters Without Borders revealed that the interruption was in fact a politically-motivated move by Eutelsat to appease the Chinese communist regime.

    Eleven years ago this week, the Chinese Communist Party launched a campaign to eradicate Falun Gong--a peaceful and popular spiritual practice embraced by tens of millions of Chinese citizens. Falun Gong practitioners today represent the largest group of prisoners of conscience in the world, with hundreds of thousands extra-judicially imprisoned at any given time. Tens of thousands have been tortured in custody as prison guards attempt to force them to recant their beliefs.

The purpose is to urge the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to stop the persecution and set free all incarcerated practitioners, returning the otherwise untarnished reputation to the peaceful practice. The protest has been ongoing now for over eight years, and many in the local community continue to express their support and admiration.

    On 19th June 2010, English Falun Gong practitioners came to Preston Park in England's famous seaside city of Brighton, and took part in the activities of "TAKEPART Brighton and Hove International Festival of Sport in Preston Park." They demonstrated the beauty of Falun Dafa to the local people and exposed the persecution taking place in China.
  • Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Display Goodness of the Practice at Frankfurt's Cultural Festival

    Falun Gong practitioners took part in the 7th Cultural Festival in Frankfurt. They displayed traditional Chinese culture, a waist drum troupe and dancers, as well as a Falun Gong exercise demonstration and a re-enactment of the severe abuse inflicted upon practitioners in China's prisons and forced labour camps.
  • United Kingdom: A Moving and Thought-provoking Art Exhibition

    The Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance International Art Exhibition was held every weekend from May 20 to July 11, 2010, at the Brighton Marina. Nearly 3000 visitors have viewed the art exhibition. Many visitors left messages in the guest book to express their appreciation and support for Falun Gong and their hope that the persecution will end soon.
